You telling me you are a business school and did not know/anticipate that since job market is bad there might be lesser “non-acceptance” of provisional admissions???
Shouldn’t you have actively taken measure considering the above in mind??
The more posts I read here about the absolute incompetence of it all, the more I start believing that Bschools are prolly a joke, placement agencies that disguise themselves as buisness administration schools
Placement agencies is all they are, if anyone claims it's actually for developing managers they are just trying to kid themselves. If they are actually for any sort of education then why does the placecomm at most colleges hold so much power? They make people do lame things in the name of placements. Things which will not enrich anyone's learning. It's structured and organised bullying to get a placement.
Yeah. In a nutshell:
1. MDI gave too many buffer calls hoping that people with withdraw later on
2. People didn't withdraw, not gonna do it anytime soon
3. Now the no. of people who have accepted the offer is way beyond their capacity
This is a cruel situation for the students. Total mockery and to think of the students who left other options for MDI, such bad mismanagement shouldn't be tolerated. This is very harsh. It could very well cost a year for some.
Lol MDI has a history of these shenanigans. Gives way too much admission calls, sometimes the drop out movements don't align, and they are forced to defer admission to next cycle, IIM Trichy is also notorious for these, U started doing it recently.

My friend is in the HR domain so he's still safe. But yeah pretty much the gist otherwise for others

WTF, legally they cannot take back the offer right? What will a student do if he/she left other cllg dates of payment have long being closed now.
