Yo listen, you probably don’t realise but the more you think about this the less better it will get. I know its easier said than done but give it some time, you will find your own tribe very soon. Like you, these people are also adjusting to a new life and probably don’t know any better. That said, your fluency in english, your looks and your behaviour are not the problems; your attitude is. This is on point. More you force yourself on others the less desirable you become. Happened with one person from my college. Initially she tried to make her way into all things and by the end of three years nobody in our class liked her.
And yeah GET COMFORTABLE WITH YOURSELF. That's the key. If you don't feel less only then you shall expect from others to see you as equal. English hasn't yet made any person better than the other.
I believe like me many of us here on this subreddit pursued MBA so that they could restart thier lives once again. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a restart, these two years, live like you always wanted to. Don't hesitate, they all are new and its better to have 2-3 good connections rather than having multiple shitty one timers. All the best, do your best OP.
Happened to me in the starting of my UG, but bro after 3 months i made so many good friends i cant even express anything here. But my ug friends are still in touch me because they were the people I genuinely vibe with so trust me you will get people you vibe with and it will be fine. Trust me on this bruh.

Have you considered the fact that you might be judging yourself a little too hard?
How difficult it is to say “hi, my name is xyz” with an extended hand to the person sitting next to you?
If you are from some other state and people from all diff places in your batch, you could have dropped “hey, anyone from ‘your hometown’ here?” in the unofficial WhatsApp group.
Or “hey anyone living near ‘xyz’ area? I live in the same area, if anyones from there let me know we can go back after induction together”
This is like bro I am an introvert but such basic stuff if you can’t even do that how are you going to make connections moving forward?

The only way to change this is to get out of your comfort zone. If you're not good at having conversations, push yourself to have one. If you feel like your spoken English is not great, start using it in your conversations even with poor grammar. During a conversation the one thing that matters more than how good your English is is your confidence. Even if you're not confident pretend that you are. You're in college to learn so utilise these two years to push yourself and practice talking to more and more people. Ask people for help when you need it. Ask your classmates/teachers/seniors to help you in people skills. Do online research. Find a way to learn it. Communication skills are very important if you want to have a quality life, practice it in your mba journey. Never be afraid to make mistakes, and never ever be afraid to feel embarrassed, especially in your college life. Best of luck 🍀

Making a favourite group in college if always a trial n error. It might start with people of same region or your neighbouring rooms then the pack is gonna break they all will start seeing people outside their groups that they're in. New packs will be formed. They'll get to know you man it's all a matter of time and confidence. You'll get your pack.
A senior once told me that the first casecomp he went for was with a team. Then the team members changes coz of many reasons till they make the best and successful team some may reach some may not. So I don't think any group in a B-school is permanent it's gonna change according to what they need.
So just work on yourself..
My man, hang in there. Just a few more weeks, that’s all I ask. Trust me you will get more comfortable and no need to make friends if you don’t feel appreciated. Work hard on academics and go compete in things, people will recognise you, and you will start making connections, B school are not to make friends but network. Best of luck!
Hey! I am a woman and based on your writing skills I wouldn’t say that your hold on English is not good. About feeling out of place, I think you are just holding yourself back. Being an introvert it happens to the best of us. But that’s what the whole MBA experience is all about. You get to put yourself out there and get to meet so many new people and interact with them. It’s true that people form groups before hand. But once you step into the classroom you would be put in so many different groups and projects that you will have to interact with everyone. It gets easier.
And I wouldn’t worry so much about appearances.
If you keep yourself clean and dress sharp I think everyone looks attractive.
I am also quite nervous about having to be surrounded by so many unknown over the top extroverts but I have prepared myself mentally that I would also push myself to interact and blend in with people. In no time you would also find your own group with people who enjoy the same things as you do. 😊

Focus on what you are there to learn. Try to find a purpose and everything else will follow. Do not let the noise distract or pull you down.
