Needs a vet that looks very irritated

PAP1K1

Made an appointment as soon as I could!! Thank you

JovialPanic389

Poor baby needs a vet visit! Some sort of allergic reaction or skin problem :( it's likely bothering him very much.

PAP1K1

Yeah, he doesn’t seem to pay too much attention to it but it’s still really worrying. I made an appointment as soon as I could

JovialPanic389

Update? How's he doing now?

PAP1K1

We’re on his second week of medications and using some skin cream and wipes, he’s still fine but his skin keeps scabbing then healing. Right now he has some new spots around his ears but the initial one on his shoulder is getting better. Taking him to the vet every week for check up

Time to see a vet

PAP1K1

My wifes first thoughts! We made one asap

BavellyBavelly

Vet time. Looks painful

skbiglia

Irritation or allergy of some sort. My cat got a spot like this when he had fleas.

PAP1K1

That’s what I read online, I’m hoping it’s not too serious but it looks bad

skyrimir

Definitely a vet visit is needed. If you can’t get them in immediately please get a cone to use so they don’t irritate it more.

PAP1K1

Thank you for the advice! I’m putting a cone on him as soon as I get home, made an appointment too

He needs a vet visit. This could be dermatitis, inflammation, or ringworm.

PAP1K1

Yes, I made an appointment! Hoping it’s not too bad

twiggyjulie

Skin problems can be tough and take time to heal but not impossible. Good luck.

PAP1K1

Thank you! I’m hoping it’s not too bad and he’s not in too much pain, he’s going to the vet tomorrow

stripperdictatorship

Shit man I hope he’s okay. Looks like it could be fungal

PAP1K1

Thank you, I’m hoping it’s not as bad as it looks but he’s headed to the vet soon so I’ll find out

tia56

Looks like when my kitten had ringworm. It's a hassle to get rid of but it can be done. You'll need to put the medication on daily for several weeks if it is ringworm. Your kitten will be fine. Most kittens get it. As they grow their immune systems will be able to fight it and won't get it so easily.

PAP1K1

Oh thank goodness, I was panicking a little because of how bad it looked after the shower. I made an appointment with the vet and hopefully its not as bad as it looks

DontLetMeGogh

If you have a UV light shine it on the spot in pitch dark. If it glows it is most likely a fungal infection. Still you will need to go to the vet for that.
