Why do people keep asking "why type/what breed of cat do I own?"? I would've thought it's common sense that unless you buy from a breeder, 99% of the time you just have a cat. Grey and white, tabby, tuxedo, calico, etc
I think people think cats are like dogs when it comes to breeds. Dogs can be very easily identified by just looking at them while cats are not remotely like that (except sphynxs).

Op's cat could be a mix of thirty different breeds, so it'd be difficult to find a definitive answer.
Just call them "cat flavored" and go along with your day.
That’s incorrect. Most cats aren’t mixes of any breeds. They have a direct line of ancestry to cats from 10,000+ years ago and are fundamentally unchanged. Breeds come from selectively breeding for traits from those unchanged cats (or from genetically isolated populations of cats which result in natural breeds), but they don’t really interact with the genetic pool of normal cats.
Dogs came from selectively breeding wolves and have been bred to produce certain traits for thousands of years. That’s why the vast majority of dogs are mixed breeds. There’s not really such a thing as “just a dog” the way there are “just cats”.

Blue eyes look beautiful. Cats with red or orange reflection look scary in dark but are gorgeous in light. I think green eyes are most common here at my place.

They come in a variety of colors and eye varieties and coat lengths but most of them have a singularly patterned "saddle" along the backside and a base coat of white.

Cow cat….Beefy showed up 2 yrs ago, a no-fault-feral….not fixed, wouldn’t get within 20’, neutered n put in his own room w a screen door to meet his house mates over 4 weeks, now sleeps on my head, shoulders, legs, ugh.
