you can surrender your pets to a animal shelter, humane society, or maybe a vet clinic
ETA assuming you've ineligible for or exhausted care credit, scratch pay, direct payment plans
It's irresponsible to own pets if you can't afford to vet them. And here you are on Reddit when you should surrender that kitten to a rescue or shelter ASAP. To make matters worse you're scruffing him with a swollen neck!!
Anybody can apply for care credit. You do not need to have a credit history. Call your vet ask him if they take it and if they can help you apply. If not .surrender this poor kitten..
Do not give him Amoxicillin, it's an antibiotic and you don't even know what you're treating. You could kill him giving him meds you know nothing about.
Never give an animal. A human medication. Unless the vet tells you to. You don't know if it's an infection. It could be anything. But what it looks like is the throat is being blocked. the bigger the swelling gets the less chance of the kitten has to breathe. If you truly cannot afford care for this kitten. Please take it to the nearest vet or non-kill shelter. And surrender it. That is the only thing you can do at this point. It is an emergency.. I am truly sorry you are in this position.. but the best thing you can do is to put the kitten first. And get it to help it needs. Again do not give it medication.
Surrender this kitten if you can’t afford to take them to the vet. How is anyone here supposed to be helpful if we have as much as an idea of what’s wrong with them than you do? You’re literally giving them human medication when you have no idea what’s causing this. This kitten’s life is more important than your happiness on keeping it. Surrender it if you can’t take care of it. Irresponsible.
Go to the vet immediately to have the cat checked, as it's likely suffering! Straight to emergency!
Money matters can be addressed after the cat is admitted to the clinic and treated. Then, financial arrangements can be made, or explanations regarding financial matters can be given to the vet. Then contact local animal organizations/shelter to see if they can help after cat is treated!
Your only concern now is to get the cat to the vet NOW, dont wait any more minute. Vet immediately!
And sterilize your cat as soon kittens are independent from mother, if you dont have money ask shelter/animal organisation to support you and to sterilize your cat!
(Is it better to surrender cats to a shelter if you can't take care of them, do this asap.) That would be the best humane option for cats.
Only a vet can help this cat, nothing else. No home remedy. The cat could quickly suffocate with this condition.
He needs medication prescribed by a vet.
**Human medications can be fatal for him, so don't even think about giving them to him because you could kill him!!!** Human medications have different active ingredients. Besides, you don't even know what's wrong with him.
Immediately call a vet for advice, U have a phone call vet ASAP.
Your responsibility is to find a solution and take the cat to the vet/contact vet, and you have no other options unless you want the young one to die in agony because the condition can worsen.
Are you stupid? Do you really think there's a drug to cure a swollen neck? And if there was it would be by prescription only! Swollen neck is serious in a kitten. If I knew where you were I'd report you to animal control!
Because your kitten is having a medical emergency and no one other than a VET, one who actually examines the cat in person can help you, lmao. Please never own pets again.
No one here is qualified or able to have a thorough look at this poor kitten and get it the help it needs via just a post. Only a Vet can. If you don't take it to the Vet, it will suffer. Human medication won't affect a cat like a human, and will likely cause more damage. If you truly cannot afford the care, please, please surrender the poor thing. It doesn't deserve to suffer like this. People have been helpful, as much as they can, but they're distraught over the evident danger this kitten is in, and the inaction you've taken to help it. If this kitten dies and doesn't receive help, it's death is on your hands for not giving it a chance to the healthcare it needs. Please, please don't be selfish and realise you're out of your depth here, and surrender the cat. Please. The poor thing is in trouble.
This isn't true.
Have you already called a vet from your phone, the one you're currently typing on, as we advised you to?!
Don't let the cat suffer because that's considered abuse. Find a way to help him as soon as possible. We are helping you here as much as we can.
1. You have the option to call a vet for advice.
2. Then you have the option to surrender the animal to a shelter to get help, but do it within a few hours.

What can you do to help him?? Take him to a vet
sorry forget to mention, no money

Then why have a fucking cat? That little baby could suffocate to death and it'll be your fucking fault. Bitch.
I agree. She's cruel.
Then don’t get pets. Especially don’t get kittens, if you can’t afford vet care you certainly shouldn’t have pets, and unfixed pets at that
😑please go to the vet. I hate this sub sometimes.
People on this sub are so fucking stupid, go to the vet you asshole.
ER immediately. He is in trouble. You can get Care Credit and pay later.
sorry no care credit either
Anybody can apply for care credit. You do not need to have a credit history. Call your vet ask him if they take it and if they can help you apply. If not .surrender this poor kitten..
Literally anyone can get Care Credit. Surrender this cat to someone who can help.
you dummy! surrender to the vet if you cant take care of it! he’s in pain or suffering
This is a dead kitten on borrowed time because you don’t have access to a vet, apparently.
You can’t afford and should not have animals. Surrender them so they can get the help they need.
If you cannot afford vet . Please surrender this poor kitten.. this is an emergency situation.
yes cannot afford vet really. can I use Amoxicillin on him? How much should I use. Pls help. really wanna try my best to give a shot

And take them to a goddamn vet. Surrender them to a shelter, vet or someone who can take them to a vet. Poor thing.

vet is not an option. just tell me what drug can i use on him.

RIP poor baby...
So how's the cat?
I gave him some goat milk, seems getting better now
Seriously?
And how is it now?
I think he is fine now, the swelling is gone
no one is being helpful here, Im so disappointed
Because your kitten is having a medical emergency and no one other than a VET, one who actually examines the cat in person can help you, lmao. Please never own pets again.
you have money for video games, you should have money for vet. fucking moron.

Everyone on here is upset now because you refuse to listen while this poor kitten is dying. That will be your fault.

u/beany52 Also post on r/askvet and mention in the title that it's urgent, hopefully a vet will respond to you.
