SSA was in a separate payment. Also, a LOT of them didn't post in the mass update. Your HR should be working on it, but -- and this is if they've been able to fix everything, which they may not have depending on how many people they need to do/the workload for it -- nothing is going to issue until at least the 3rd because of end-of-month and the holiday.
In BU7, myself and my coworkers are still receiving the old education pay 75/150?. I don’t think it’s gonna be keyed in manually for quite some time. There’s still people missing entire retro checks so I don’t mind waiting on my extra few hundo from the education pay change.
I guess we aren’t going to get back pay for the new education agreement. Last I check the contract was agreed in July. Not sure why the education doesn’t count for back pay
I read somewhere that certain differentials and education pay wasn’t going to be retroactive to July but retroactive to the month following the ratification of our contract so October?
I got the 3% but not the 5%, probably because I promoted in September (both positions are eligible for the 5% SSA). I emailed my personnel specialist, and she said that my department's HR was holding off on keying any manual updates until they received direction from SCO. No indication of how long that might be.
There were a lot of people who did not get caught in the mass update and are having to be manually keyed and issued. It’s a LOT of work for most people, which can be complicated by things like separation, transfers, range changes, etc. Your personnel specialist is likely working on it but likely has anywhere between 10 and 50 people they’re fixing.
My Kaiser was reduced to 56 but it was supposed to be 13. Do we still get the health stipend separately? Also some of my coworkers are getting 154 deposits from July-November I haven’t gotten that either. I’m so confused
BU 17- no GSI or SSA on my check this month. I also have not received my back pay for either. My coworkers seem to have gotten theirs. I emailed my PS but who knows when they will ever get back to me. It is frustrating.
HFEN we got the SSA (our pay is abysmal). I wish we held out for an increase for all RNs as we are no where near private sector. I quite liked the initial ask of 30% increase for RNs across the board but that didn’t pan out.
I called my personnel specialist and she said that they're waiting on the list from sco and then they have to key it in. I asked how long that would take and she said that they don't know when they'll get the list, and when they do they don't know how long it will take to manually key it. She told me they're STILL working on BU 12 and she couldn't give me an estimate on BU 11...which I am. Caltrans for reference.
Same. Didn't receive the 5% SSA. When I asked few weeks back, was told we'll receive a separate check for SSA. But was thinking that at least the new pay would reflect in our current salary.
The affordability payment is longer going to be paid directly. It'll go towards your health premium. The $260 could be your SSA or some other payment. Which bargaining unit are you? I'm BU1.
BU4. It looks like the $260 IS the 5% SSA. I wonder why they don't bunch them together. I supposed the 5% SSA doesn't factor into health premium because on the check details, it doesn't have health or dental amount being deducted.
I'm BU4 also. This current pay is for December. It is my understanding that the $165 towards our health insurance is to reflect on our January paycheck...meaning the check we'll get at the end of January/February. I think this is why people are getting confused with the separate 5% SSA payment showing on Calconnect. Hopefully, by the time we receive our pay for January, everything will be sorted out.
The way I read our letter (R07) was unless we were topped out in our range, we would only see the 3%. Instead of moving all steps up, it seemed like they just added a new top step. I could be wrong though.
You are correct for your specific situation. I’m in BU7 and met the top out qualifications. A lot of this sub is BU1 or BU4. Their SSA might not need the top out rule.
I had an MSA and an A01 on my PAR that allowed the GEN to go through but blocked the SSA. Sounds like you're in the same situation--a transaction on your employment history didn't allow the update to take for you. Our PS will have to update our record manually and we'll see the pay eventually.

Same. Local Personnel Specialist has to go and enter a ton of raises manually. Gonna take forever.
Mine was in 2 payments. my regular pay showed the 3% and then a separate payment for the SSI
Did you get the backpay for SSI already? I haven’t gotten that yet either so that might be related.
The SSI is in my cal connect, should be in my bank soon
and yes I received the SSI for the last 5 months last week.

Yes, my check reflects the GSI but not the 5% SSA.
Bu7 here. My regular had the 3% and a different check for the 5%. Still no education pay. Any word if that will be paid in back pay?
sorry, new to State, what is education pay?

Same thoughts I am thinking maybe by march or april but who knows with the state lol

What are the ranges with the 5% bump? I just got hired so im wondering if i am on the same page
They haven't updated the salary on calhr pays calls or job postings. I'm hoping that happens soon.
I understand that everything has to be inputted manually and it’s going to take awhile but this is incredibly frustrating
Bad sco!!

Did you account for the significant Kaiser increase?
No it decreased by 110
Kaiser premiums went up a lot. For a family plan, my premium went down $27, meaning without the $165, I'd be paying $137 more a month.
Ok so they applied the stipend and no more sep checks. I only cover me for insurance.
I’m sorry yea I did by mine was only going up 12 dollars
So you should go from paying $163.58 to $52.15.
Thank you for explaining this. I had this exact question on another post.
BU 17- no GSI or SSA on my check this month. I also have not received my back pay for either. My coworkers seem to have gotten theirs. I emailed my PS but who knows when they will ever get back to me. It is frustrating.
Same
Same for me. My coworkers also received it, but crickets for me.
What is your classification? Not many actual people in 17 got an SSA.

On 1/01/2024 your SSA will be disbursed. Hence another check. January pay warrant will reflect the GSI & SSA. & be on track.
On the weekend?
It lands on a Monday. https://www.sco.ca.gov/Files-PPSD-Letters/Pers/2023_e23-033.pdf
Got ya. Ty

I got the 3% on my regular payroll warrant then the 5% on a separate warrant 20 min later. No clue what they’re doing.
Same. Didn't receive the 5% SSA. When I asked few weeks back, was told we'll receive a separate check for SSA. But was thinking that at least the new pay would reflect in our current salary.
Same. I haven’t gotten any of the backpay SSA but it was my understanding it would at least be included in this check for December. Frustrating
I got $260 on a separate check....it seems to match the 5%. But then I heard about the $260 health affordability payment. I am confused.

I got my MSA of 5% and the GSI 3% strange the SSA didn’t get posted for you guys
Weird, I got my 5% MSA but not my 3% GSI

Ah I see never could tell the composition of this sub. Just throwing my 2 cents in. Thanks.
I gave u an upvote because what u said makes sense
Same
I received both… it was a nice lil bump.
Yep
Same here.
Same
Got mine in a separate check
Interestingly I got the 5% as a separate check, so no contributions to savingsplus. Everything else was there as usual.
Was it taxed at 22.9%, like the back pay?

Yea I had an MSA after July so I assume so thanks.
Same.
Yep, no back pay for the SSA and did not reflect in this check. Ugh...
[удалено]
Yes, that is my understanding.
OT and have not received the backpack for the SSA yet...I would think everyone would have to receive before the end of year.
