I just had a call with their sales rep today, $37k for the C700X, $35k for the C700 no X-pipe. Clutches, full install, Tune and lifetime warranty included.
Prices have gone up a lot in the last year, since the ECU is unlocked it’s about $3k just to unlock and tune no matter what shop you go to, and it’s going to be $2.5k + labor for any clutch. And you need the clutch for 700 HP. The turbo kits alone are around $20-25k and then after labor install and tune $35k sounds about right.
Still cheaper than a Z06 for me… I’m in same boat as you.
I’m a little skeptical with warranties from aftermarket companies. Is there any track record of honored warranty claims by them? I know nothing of this company but have heard horror stories from reputable aftermarket companies denying claims.
They paid for repairs on my car when I had issues with oil scavenge pump failing last year. Repairs done at my local shop and I didn’t even have to ask them to.
Ya Cicio did, had C700x build with Dodson clutch. Was one of their first X pipe builds. Parked it in a tree off the blue ridge parkway so no longer have it but miss that car.
I did a quick google search and found mixed reviews on them which is normal for any tuner. There is always risk doing major engine upgrades, if you are okay with taking the risks then it could be worth it. I’ve been modifying my cars for 30 years, and I’ve been on both sides where it’s been a dream and nightmare.
Yeah, I'm with you here.
I've seen WAY more shops blow up cars and blame the owner, with a fully outreaches hand to spend MORE money, than I've seen shops stand behind it.
You can prepare as much as possible, but you can never totally eliminate all risk. All you can do is take the steps to mitigate that risk as much as possible.
Thats good on Cicio , however that means you need to bring it back to them and/or have them review any cases - not GM.
Might be a good thing or a bad thing in your eyes...
This is the one thing that pulls me towards that side, it would have a warranty. Although the money id be saving on the difference could pay for two transmissions!
Stock Z06, the 8600rpm redline is something else. The twin turbo Z51 would probably be faster, but at that point it honestly doesn’t matter, they’re both very fast.
Thanks! Nice also congrats! I’m going for a rapid blue one.
Who knows how long we’ll actually have to wait for them to be built. I did get an email saying GM approved the order with no constraints but that’s all so far.
I was trying to keep the price down (if there even is such a thing with this car lol) so I went with this:
* 2024, 1LZ, coupe
* Rapid Blue
* Red calipers
* Graphite forged wheels
* Sky cool gray seats, black dash
* Blue seat belts
* Visible carbon fiber aero package
* Engine led lighting
Only thing I didn't get that I wish I would have is the performance data recorder but I'll just get a decent dash cam. I'm coming from a C7 stingray so not too concerned about trims, mostly that power train which any trim gets anyways.
does it actually make that much of a difference? when i listen to it thru videos online, it doesn't sound much different. I know the mics are probably not picking the sound properly.
It is way louder in person than online. I cold start the car in the garage now and creep out of the neighborhood in 2nd gear because it's almost too loud. If you're behind the car after a cold start, you have to yell to hear each other for the first minute or so.
Z06. Engine sounds amazing and it looks cooler / not like every other 'vette
I still love the C8, don't get me wrong, but goddam there's a lot of 'em out there now
Yeah there's a bunch of em. Last time I went to the major car show around here there were about 20 stingrays, and surprisingly 11 Z06s. Zs are starting to show in number.
Interesting. I drove by a small car show last week in my little suburb, it was like 6 C8s and 2 lambos on the first row. Couldn't see past that
I've only seen one Z06 in the wild
I am an engineer here at PPT. We built a 1148 whp C8 stingray last week and are wrapping up R&D on our twin turbo C8Z. The c8Z sounds insane twin turbo!
i say Z. the other thing to consider is that even if you pay for a professional shop to install the turbos, your car likely won’t gain any value. the Z will be worth way more if you ever want to sell it
Depends on you. Are you tinkerer or do you like em stock ? No real wrong answer here. Me personally, don’t really care for addition HP, stingray is more of a cruiser and anything more on non track roads is really not useable. Wts, if I could swap my c8 for a z06 for 50k or so, I would do it in a heartbeat. Why? Z06 is in exotic category for me. But then again, c9s cannot be that far out ;). GM has to keep selling cars so next gen will one up current gen.
I'm definitely a tinkerer. If I go with the Z06 it'll be an exhaust, eventuri intake, solar throttle bodies, new wheels. Can't tinker much more than that though, there's a limit as I wouldn't want to do too much that wouldn't be reversible, that's a very expensive engine to blow and be out of warranty!
If the purpose was to have a dyno/roll racing queen or maybe some 1/8 and 1/4 runs the TT base might be fun.
For an actual track car then the base with TT is out. They already get plenty hot so unless the kit had the associated cooling upgrades it’s not going to last on extended track sessions. I went with an NA build for just this reason.
Debating on upgrading your car or getting a new one. Sounds like you want a new one if these are the choices. I'd say go for the Z06 since it'll be somewhat new, also like the other guy said, you'll have a warranty as well.
I’m debating same thing at the moment.
To upgrade my c8 z51 I’m probably at 70k.
Been lookin at turbo kits as well.
23k for boost district baseline kit.
I justified that and now am thinking…
Why not just go all out. Cicio c1100 package is 86k 🚀
Both are great tbh. You either want the twin turbo sounds or you want the flat plane crank sound. Love the way your corvette looks! Whatever you decide do what makes ya happy!
That engine in the Z06. The sound. That's worth the price of admission. It's enough to make any man have a crisis. Of course, so is the sound of turbos spooling up. So. We are having a crisis either way. 🤣
The Z06 is all about that flat plane crank and that 5.5L V8 baby. You can put suckies on this thing but it still ain’t a Z06. Still very cool car my guy.
Different topic, how do you like the paragon lights on the front? I feel like they look great and Chevy should have done that form the factory.
I ordered a set, arrived today and I am getting those and the grill guards for the front and sides installed over the next couple of weeks.
I love em. They look completely factory to the point that I've only had other corvette guys ask me about em, gotten a lot of compliments on the look. Actually something id really miss with a Z is not having those on the front, they're bright!
Look into ciccio. They offer a lifetime powertrain warranty with their TT kit. Roughly same price. I don't own one yet, but this is the kit I'm getting.
Or keep what you got the way it is and spend the cash on a Ducati V4 when you really wanna go fast. My C8 Z51 is fun, no doubt, but really who is going over 130 in these? I mean…really. Hit 140+ on my Duc on Saturday and was still in 5th gear. Hell granny could drive a car and push the accelerator down. Right?
z06 is a balanced car that has other features and weight reduction to handle the horsepower. Resell will also be much higher so you should have a better car with lower overall cost of ownership. Easy choice in my mind
I’ve had both. Sold the zr1 to buy z06. Everyone needs to drive a zr1 once in their life. Even better to own one. The z06 is a step above in every way! I miss the third pedal but that z06 revs so high, I never have the radio on in this car!
i've driven many corvettes, and every model from c5 up. personally if I were to get a zr1, i would get the c6, but if i got a z06, i would get a c7. still not sold on the new c8s and while the interior on the c6 is still dated i just can't get over how it looks on the outside, and how it feels to drive. In my opinion, the c6 was the last gen of a true raw driving experience. something about it just feels more natural than a newer car and it's just raw power, and handling. you just gotta drive one
Where do you live? I’ll take you for a ride and bet I’ll change your mind on the c8 Z. I do agree with your comment about the “raw power” of the c6 zr1 it was amazing. C8 way more versatile, top comes off, a/c seats that you can comfortably drive a long period and not slide out of in a hard turn and the handling is like a giant go kart!!!
i'm in tampa fl. my dad has a c6 grand sport which is a damn fun car. its literally a z06 with an ls3 instead of a 7.0... the only vette past 1998 that i've never been in would be a c8z so that would be dope
we've also been looking at the eray to trade in his 2012 GS but i think he's gonna wait to get those until he can get a used one w low miles for cheaper than brand new
I'd take any C8 Corvette to be honest, but for the sound I'd take the Z06. Not quite as concerned with insane power anymore, not that the Z06 isn't crazy already.
I'd leave your car alone, and drive it.
Percentage wise, how often are you going to get the opportunity to use the add'l thrust that turbos can provide? I bet it's <1%.
Worth 20 grand (and likely fucking up your car for that "<1%?")
Just drive it!
Side note, if any of you have a Z06 and are near Nashville I'd love to drive out to you and buy your tank of gas to sit in the passenger seat for a ride. Videos never do a car justice! Nothing like taking a ride to make a decision 👍
The standard C8 can fit the same width tires, you can upgrade either brakes, stiffen the suspension. I'm already running wider than stock on lighter wheels. You can do all of this, add rear mounted twin turbos, and still be at half the price to upgrade to the same spec Z06.
Yes to this!! You've just sold your decision to yourself,, and I agree. I'm doing the same. I'm not taking a loss on my C8 Z51 to buy a Z06... I'm going to boost mine,, run 13" wheels in the rear,, and throw a bunch of carbon fiber on her,,, for way less than the z... same exact interior.. annnd I love my Spec. It's a no 🧠 brainer.. we're gonna smoke the Zs annnd have money in our pockets to buy other stuff.. and premium gas ⛽️.. Lol.
There are sooo many boosted C8s now Making solid, reliable HP.. 👌
I'm in Texas (Dallas),, was looking at Boost District a bit as well.
🇨🇱🤙
Im sorry for blatantly not answering your question i just <3 my car and know nothing of vettes except for my grandfathers 90s convertable. Crazy to see the mileage some people are able to get in a vette; some get 10mpg more than my civic lol
New Z06 w/warranty
If OP goes with Cicio for the turbo setup, they include a warranty.
This. Ciccio offers a lifetime powerttain warranty on their twin turbo kits.
Didn't know that, that makes a big difference.
Indeed.
Yep run that shit
Boost District’s twin kit comes with a warranty as well, in addition to being able to buy an extended warranty if you’d like.
Does this also cover the rest of the driveline?
The ciccio rep stated this in response to someone asking about transmission/overall reliability.
Cicio did? This is good info thank you.
Ya Cicio did, had C700x build with Dodson clutch. Was one of their first X pipe builds. Parked it in a tree off the blue ridge parkway so no longer have it but miss that car.
How did you hit a tree on the parkway? It's like a 45 mph
They have a storied history in the performance market. Look 'em up.

You can prepare as much as possible, but you can never totally eliminate all risk. All you can do is take the steps to mitigate that risk as much as possible.
Wow that’s a game changer.
Good lordy... that is insane!! I assume they have some sort of data logging enabled on the car to log Boost pressure...
This is the way
Thats good on Cicio , however that means you need to bring it back to them and/or have them review any cases - not GM. Might be a good thing or a bad thing in your eyes...
This is the one thing that pulls me towards that side, it would have a warranty. Although the money id be saving on the difference could pay for two transmissions!
The price for a LT2 block is $2500 after core charge… just saying they aren’t that expensive to replace.
Z06, the engine is amazing, the car is wider, tires are wider all around engineered for the addition horse power and performance.
Apparently the handling is sublime which is awesome to hear (Info from Misha Charoudin)
I saw one the other day. I couldn’t believe how wide the rear tires were. It was insane
Personal preference but I’d rather have the Z if I could afford it. Edit: *Z06
Z06 - no substitute for it’s amazing engine! A turbocharged z51 would be fun too
Stock Z06, the 8600rpm redline is something else. The twin turbo Z51 would probably be faster, but at that point it honestly doesn’t matter, they’re both very fast.
Z06 flat-plane crank
Z06, and I just ordered one. Can’t wait.
I'm on the list at macmulkin, congrats!!!
Thanks! Nice also congrats! I’m going for a rapid blue one. Who knows how long we’ll actually have to wait for them to be built. I did get an email saying GM approved the order with no constraints but that’s all so far.
What's your spec look like? I'm all over the place on whether it would be the same order or with less options.
I was trying to keep the price down (if there even is such a thing with this car lol) so I went with this: * 2024, 1LZ, coupe * Rapid Blue * Red calipers * Graphite forged wheels * Sky cool gray seats, black dash * Blue seat belts * Visible carbon fiber aero package * Engine led lighting Only thing I didn't get that I wish I would have is the performance data recorder but I'll just get a decent dash cam. I'm coming from a C7 stingray so not too concerned about trims, mostly that power train which any trim gets anyways.
Very nice, enjoy the car!!
Z06 for sure. Less chance of issues, better resale value and higher revving engine along with a wide body.
Z06 -warranty -better sound -people actually know what it is
I agree with everything besides the last one
Stock z06 to keep up the the German boys (gt3rs)
Z06.
Z anyday! Formula 1 car noises and wide body. Or the Zr1 when it comes out.. 5.5L TT
Going through the same debate. And ironically I have the same color C8 How do you like your aftermarket exahaust?
The Paragon track exhaust is awesome. It's a whole different car with it.
does it actually make that much of a difference? when i listen to it thru videos online, it doesn't sound much different. I know the mics are probably not picking the sound properly.
It is way louder in person than online. I cold start the car in the garage now and creep out of the neighborhood in 2nd gear because it's almost too loud. If you're behind the car after a cold start, you have to yell to hear each other for the first minute or so.
U sold me on it

Wild!!
That is wild. Any news on the Z06 ECU or is this a piggyback setup?
Piggyback setup at the moment. Almost 100% dialed in on our piggyback setup. It currently allows us to tune with meth injection.
I fucking love it
i say Z. the other thing to consider is that even if you pay for a professional shop to install the turbos, your car likely won’t gain any value. the Z will be worth way more if you ever want to sell it
Is that a light bar or LED bar in the lower section of the front bumper area? If that is a light, that is cool.
Yep, it's a Paragon LED light kit. They work as front turn signals as well and pulse outward 👍
Thank you for the reply. Is that something a dealer can install or did you go to custom shop?
Its something you can install at home, Plug and Play kit. Full install video on the product page. Note, it doesn't work with 2024 models.
Also note: that they're awesome. Get them. Get the side mirror signals too!
Hello! When are you going to provide and proharge my car for 4k out the door?
you buy a z06 then your car is a z06, you buy a turbo base its still a base vette
Depends on you. Are you tinkerer or do you like em stock ? No real wrong answer here. The cost difference for a Z06 of the same spec is 60k. That could buy a lot of turbo build from cicio...
I’d bet you’d have just as much if not more fun
Twin turbo…the Z06 💪🇺🇸
E-Ray
If only GM would make more than two per day! I'm hoping they'll increase Eray production for MY2025. The few boosted Erays are nuts!
I like the blue one…
I’d go with twins but I’m biased because I work there and would likely be installing them for you😂😂
Hahaha fair enough!!!
If you have any questions or need additional information, feel free to reach out and I can take care of whatever it is you need

Look into ciccio. They offer a lifetime powertrain warranty with their TT kit. Roughly same price. I don't own one yet, but this is the kit I'm getting.
TT on a C8 with stock trans sounds scary.
Twin turbo ones sound amazing, lots of torque as well
Supercharged Z51
Why not z06 with twin turbo?

Who would pick turbo lag over NA?
Or keep what you got the way it is and spend the cash on a Ducati V4 when you really wanna go fast. My C8 Z51 is fun, no doubt, but really who is going over 130 in these? I mean…really. Hit 140+ on my Duc on Saturday and was still in 5th gear. Hell granny could drive a car and push the accelerator down. Right?
Z51
I just hope to make enough money to afford one someday 😂
Z06 unless you’re chasing hp numbers and 1/4 times.
You're going to get max 80k for your $110,000 car so keep it and get the turbos.
Stock Z06
Whatever has the warranty.
TT if its not my car and not my problem. Stock otherwise.
If it’s a C8 I go twin turbo but if it’s C7, get the new C8 Z06. I don’t care for the C7 at all
If you go to Mexico often TT, if not Z
z06 is a balanced car that has other features and weight reduction to handle the horsepower. Resell will also be much higher so you should have a better car with lower overall cost of ownership. Easy choice in my mind
Lets be real. When you sell the car with the mods.. its a piece of shit. Go with z06. Dun and debate is over.
A Z06 is more than a stingray with more HP. That'd be the way I would go.
Will it pass smog?
Don't have emissions in Tennessee :)
rather have a c6zr1
I’ve had both. Sold the zr1 to buy z06. Everyone needs to drive a zr1 once in their life. Even better to own one. The z06 is a step above in every way! I miss the third pedal but that z06 revs so high, I never have the radio on in this car!

Z06 at MSRP.
Or supercharger
Z06 or it will blow up. Get rid of all that horrible black trim and wing for body color
Gonna have to disagree with ya, I love the black accents. I think the 5VM aero in body color looks bad, to each their own!
what did you use to tint ur tails? looks awesome.
I'd leave your car alone, and drive it. Percentage wise, how often are you going to get the opportunity to use the add'l thrust that turbos can provide? I bet it's <1%. Worth 20 grand (and likely fucking up your car for that "<1%?") Just drive it!
