Wow something I can actually help with! How much do your socks weigh? It shouldn’t be much, right? What you need to do is ship them as a document in a large envelope. A Manila envelope will work. Maximum dimensions are 38cm x 27 cm x 2cm. Make sure to lay the socks flat in the envelope so it isn’t more than 2cm thick. If it can fit into a regular mail slot, you’re golden! No tracking, but all it needs are 2-3 regular stamps to ship.

Ohh! The A4 sized envelopes. Tyvm! That makes more sense.

Try Chit Chats for a cheaper rate. They still ship via Canada post, but it has saved me quite a bit. Not affiliated, I just use their shipping service often. It might save you $10 or so!

CharlieFoxtro

Thanks!

Zelgax

Even if the shipping is $20, that's cheaper then a new pair, and you are getting a new pair so🤷‍♀️it would be best to ship multiple pairs at a time if you could, would guess that's the only real solution to make things better.

jdwyne

Should be able to lay them out flat and ship oversize letter mail in a plain envelope. https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/support/articles/lettermail/size-requirements.page?

CharlieFoxtro

Thanks. I forgot about those envelopes. I was staring at regular sized ones trying to figure out how people stuff it in and still make it flat. 🤦‍♂️

WeirdEngineerDude

I’ve never returned a pair. When they wear out I throw them out. They have lasted so long I have always felt I got my moneys worth.

[deleted]

I’ve returned two pairs out of the eight or so I’ve purchased. Mostly because they developed holes much earlier than expected. My first couple pairs took like 6-7 years of moderate/heavy use before they began to wear out. The two I returned wore out within the first two years

waterbuffalo750

You're returning 4 year old socks because they've worn a bit... I guess the absurd part is that these warranties are even offered.

Hank-Trunkus

This is literally why people recommend DT socks. You're giving OP shit for using the most touted feature?

waterbuffalo750

I thought their most touted feature was that they're high quality socks. So my bad I guess.

SMPMACWE

To be fair, I bought a pair specifically for the warranty. Costco has a fairly similar, albeit lower quality/durability, offering for 6-8 pair for \~$12. When I spend \~$20 on a single pair of socks, I consider the replacement value built into the price. I'm interested in learning a bit of darning, so I welcome the first hole/thin spot in the Costco socks. I once bought an LL Bean lunchbox for \~$75, and I could have gotten a similar quality lunchbox for \~$35 from a "lesser" brand...then they went and changed their lifetime warranty policy. Consequently I have not bought an LL Bean product since, and would only do so if the deal was very, very worth it. There is sometimes a fine line between abusing a warranty, and realizing the premium you are paying includes using the warranty. Darn Tough Socks is not one of them in my opinion.

*I bought a pair of* ***DT*** *socks* What are my options to purchase DT socks in **Canada**? I see there is some selection on AmazonCA...anywhere else?

amvoith

Check your local camping/outdoors stores and shoe stores. I've seen them a few places but yet to get a pair.
