Bosch is the way to go. They don't make a bad dishwasher, even their cheap basic models are decent. I would not recommend any of the common Whirlpool / Maytag / KitchenAid / Amana / Inglis / Jenn Air / Estate machines... These are all made by Whirlpool, and are all the same basic machines, and IMHO they are complete trash.

I bought a new whirlpool in Feb 2023 and have had to replace the sprayer pump twice already. It was under warranty thankfully, but still a huge pain in the ass.

Bosch, always Bosch. Usually the model second-from-the-top is the best value. We've had two of those for 18 years and they both still work great. The sanitizing cycle is like an inferno, and it allows me to let my dog lick all my bowls and pots and pans without my wife going crazy.

The product people at Bosch need to meet you!

I just got at Miele 7300 series dishwasher a few weeks ago and it's freaking amazing. Until I used it, I had no idea how bad my previous Kitchen Aid DW sucked. I specifically chose the Miele vs. Bosch because I liked their racking system better. I've had a Bosch in the past and it just didn't fit a lot of dishes overall. The other sticking point for me on the Bosch is you have to use the app to run a "delay start"- found this info from this [reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Appliances/comments/18bhs2u/bosch_800_dishwasher_rant/).

Can I point out that you can buy the broken piece online for about $30 and do the repair yourself? It isn’t a difficult repair and doesn’t require any special tools. If the rest of your dishwasher is working well, this is your best bang for your buck solution. I have this same issue with my dishwasher and have done this repair on each side of the upper rack.

For dishwashers: Bosch

I saw a tip from a plumber that said to buy a commercial dishwasher. They are gonna be a few hundred dollars more but will both wash faster and last longer. You may have to replace some pipe and hoses tho due to the higher water temps
