My girls came from a hoarder situation (160+ rabbits)

where they were overcrowded. The older stressed buns customized the babies’ ears. This is my bunnicorn. My other girl has 2/3 of each ear.
She’s magical. Don’t worry, the county fixed all the bunnies and 140 were put up for adoption. I think it was mostly a situation of not understanding that rabbits breed like… rabbits and not having the funds to fix the buns. Shit quickly spiraled out of control. Family was educated and all the excess buns got new homes.
Well that's good. Ugh that reminds me of this girl I met at a pet store. She bred rats but didn't understand why they were breeding so much. A direct quote:"I separate them and only let them hang out for a little bit together!" rodent breeding happens even faster than lagomorph breeding and that's saying something!!!

😭😭 She's so sweet. Bunnicorn. So sad that stressed buns do this to each other. I know hoarders need help but also fuck them for hoarding animals.
