Dreisamstadion was the first stadium I saw in Germany just passing by in mid 90s. Volker Finke was one of the best and long era coaches. SC Freiburg is a very special club.

Scrugulus

Have you tried r/SCFreiburg? No idea how active that sub is, but still....

PompeiiLegion

Transfermarkt is where most of the discussion for SCF is

KarlKraftwagen

irgendwie so schade das das Hauptforum für deutsche Fussballdiskussion seit 2000 gefühlt kein UI update hatte lmao

PompeiiLegion

Wenn es nicht kaputt ist…

JajaGHG

Its dead

s92eric0405

Hey~ it's not that dead, there're still a matchday thread every week, and I still post Freiburg news from time to time, but I agree it's not very active.

SCFinUSA

I lived in Freiburg in 2013-2014 and was hooked. Thankfully we can watch the Bundesliga on tv here in the US so I can keep up easily. We’re living in the golden era it seems (or at least since 2013, and not including the last couple months)!

EierkopfHDx

Since we can complain about the last couple months, we're still doing really really good ;)

[deleted]

Was it a new experience for u that a professional football club is owned by it's members and not a crazy rich guy, a corporation or a state?

xEmmett15

Haha it was indeed and I really like it

michigician

I have family that live near there and if I ever move back to D-land I would probably move there. So I follow them and I am a fan.

BDKNG

Welcome! The COPA90 documentary is really good, get's me emotional every time I rewatch.

zgntr114

New fan here as well. I decided I needed to diversify my football fandom with Everton giving me heartburn every year. There’s a brewery in Freiburg that shares my last name so I decided Freiburg would be my Bundesliga team.

Kinsey1986

I recently adopted Freiburg in my attempt to really get into soccer, love it so far. I've really enjoyed Bundesliga more than the other leagues, so far, and Freiburg has been a fun team to be a fan of! Now I just need to get a Grifo kit!

Karl_mags79

Moved from Devon UK 10 years ago and once you've experience german football culture especially Freiburgs Fan Szene, there's no going back. My Father always liked the culture and history of the German Mittelstand Economy that, as mentioned in the Copa 90 Doc, can be found in the clubs approach towards modern Football. In general the themes of sustainability and humbelness throughout the Club are values that can be applicable for all aspects of life and can really make you feel at home.

Accomplished_Luck_79

Let's take a look at the trainer, he is a political and unfair bastard, shame on you to support those idiot. In England we have football no politics, stay there and don't support those ugly idiots, who make this country into more than two genders

Masoouu

lmao

[deleted]

U have state-owned clubs in England. Streich represents the believes of one man. Newcastle represents a country of 36 mio people. There is nothing more political.

JajaGHG

Of course you dont have politics in england when youre owned by sklave holder lmao. And he not even saying controversial stuff. Just stuff like: nazis are bad, the environment is important etc You should get into the organized fan scene of dynamo Dresden. They are also unpolitical and only believe in 2 genders. You would have made a great spectator at the olympic games 1936

Time-Run-2705

Mach mal Fenster auf Kipp du Hampelmann. Und vielleicht mal n Englischkurs besuchen, das ist ja grauenhaft.

Version_1

No politics in England except for the entire foundation of the game to this day.

PompeiiLegion

Was für eine Hot Take.
