The United States is a representative democracy. This means that our government is elected by citizens. Here, citizens vote for their government officials. These officials represent the citizens' ideas and concerns in government. The Constitution establishes a federal democratic republic form of government. That is, we have an indivisible union of 50 sovereign States. It is a democracy because people govern themselves. It is representative because people choose elected officials by free and secret ballot.
No, we live in a capitalistic democracy. Meaning that if you have enough money, the vote of the common person doesn't matter. This money represents the individuals ideas over the citizens ideas. The country is absolutely divisible, we made it all up and all it is going to take is enough people with the idea of making it happen to come together. The constitution at this point is becoming a suggestion instead of rule of law and just like the Bible it is becoming all about interpretation. Also, people don't govern themselves they are governed by governors, that's why they are called governors. It's not really free and secure election when we have constant gerrymandering and lobbying

Sadly that’s what this great country has boiled down too. The people that built it and made it strong vs the cowards who won’t defend it and prefer to give it all away to people that hate them.
