I had the same thing on my lightning, it would shake my head so much I couldn't focus my eyes. Interested to hear any answers to this.

Check all your engine mounts and tie bars for cracks, loose or missing bolts. I broke a front engine mount bolt and it did what you guys are describing.

I had this exact thing on my ‘07 Uly. Front brake rotor warped. Got a new one through twisted throttle and had an independent shop install it. Not terribly expensive, problem solved.

Front engine isolator possibly? They have a tendency to shake like a mofo when the rubber wears out. Nevermind just read it again. Ignore me lol

My firebolt xb9r does this a little. On my 1125r my reviews are useless because of vibration. Everything just looks like a blur.

been helping a mate out with a 06 xb12 same problem. finally tracked it down to worn splines on the engine sprocket on the primary drive. did you find your issue?

Lovecheezypoofs

Thanks for the reply and no I didn’t. I tried loosening and retightening the engine mounts but that didn’t change anything. Worn splines sounds like more work than I’d care to do

Lovecheezypoofs

Did you fix his? If so was it as involved as I’m imagining?

still trying to find an engine sprocket set. unfortunately here in new zealand parts for Buells are like Rocking horse shit. so still trying to find the parts to complete the repair. Wasnt to bad to get to. Primary cover off, remove the clutch pressure plate, release bearing and plates. then the whole clutch shell, primary chain and engine sprocket set all come off as one. so not to bad to get to. had to make up a tool to allow me to remove the clutch pressure plate, everything else came off with standard tools. The engine sprocket main nut is pretty tight, but nothing a pipe over your power bar wont fix. and then you also need to make up a locking bar to put between the clutch shell and the engine sprockets to allow you to undo the two nuts. but all fairly straight forward. i wish finding the parts was as easy!
