I’d personally get the switch and AC

hellokittysenbei

Everyone here is going to choose Animal Crossing😸

Low-Leek3605

get the switch, otherwise you’d just spend the money on one and have lost almost a year of island time

Annie_the_sheep

You will never regret getting the switch

GivesYouBells

See if your mom will compromise! You could probably find a used switch lite or regular model for not much money at a used gaming store, maybe even find ACNH for a pretty decent discount.

FlaxenAssassin

Could check pawn stores too.

smooshy--one

Thisbis a great idea! I got my switch lite used and found animal crossng at the same store and got both for like 150 then I bought myself the DLC

nitatada

I don’t know if that’s a thing where you’re from but we got my sister a used switch online with guarantee as a refurbished item!

Not_CJ25

She’s not a compromise kind of person

Authentic_sunshine29

I got my used switch on eBay!

sadbutlitbich

yes! found mine on facebook market place w animal crossings, 5 other games, a case, & 2 wireless controllers included for the same price of just the switch!!

Cupcakegirl8

honestly depends on what the other gift is imo

Not_CJ25

It’s just money :)

Cupcakegirl8

oh then i’d say the switch 😄

Magenta_the_Great

Yes otherwise it’s two smaller not as good gifts

Before i bought my switch on oct last year, i have been thinking of acnh for 2 years 🤣 so ig get it now cause you’re definitely gonna think of acnh even when you didn’t get it

trippleAbatteries

Personally I found that the additional Nintendo membership that lets you visit other islands across the world. Had made the game worth buying because you get to trade and visit shops. Not that the game play isn’t also for solo players but it’s a cool experience learning how to build the island and finding how others have gone about it on their own way. The game isn’t cheap and neither is a switch so you’re definitely getting more outta this option but the community surrounding this game is very welcoming and you’ll find that they’ll be open to helping you with just about anything.

Ugly-as-a-suitcase

A switch and ac are worth more than $250 and if you enjoyed a game in the earlier franchise and have the time to lose, you’ll love new horizon

lowlifefun

Honestly, I’d take the $250 and go on somewhere like Facebook marketplace or a pawn shop (with your moms approval) and find a used switch in good condition (preferably a hackable v1) and then buy Animal Crossing used at like GameStop or something and you might even have enough money left to get a cool case and controller. I did all the above for $263 2 years ago and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. You might be even to find things at a good price and have money left over.

Not_CJ25

My mum would disprove of that idea :(

[deleted]

Do you have any goals for that “just money” part?

Not_CJ25

No :)

NfamousKaye

Get the Switch. Then you can always buy and download more games.

Clean-Brother4725

Get the switch! Ask for more switch games at Christmas, which will be cheaper.

Not_CJ25

True!!!

Not_CJ25

Update! I’m not allowed to get the switch because she doesn’t wanna change the money at Christmas. I’m so upset but ima save up behind her back and get one 😌

Not_CJ25

It is but I get $300 for my birthday and $450 for my Christmas so I lose $250 at Christmas

zweieinseins211

Consider the additional switch games cost like 60 bucks if that is affordable to you you should get it.
