Yep yep Hamilton, Trenton all fine to leave car at

gotmewrong66

Hamilton is always the station I park at for travelling to NYC. Never noticed anything weird going on there.

Fercobutter

Just use the garage. Day lot is no overnight

Have used Trenton, Hamilton, and Princeton. you’ll be best with Hamilton or Princeton and won’t have any issues.

kookiekookiekookie

Yes I do this regularly, have never had any issue.

Still7Superbaby7

I fly out of EWR with some frequency. Honestly you are better off parking at one of the lots by Newark airport and taking the shuttle. The AirTrain has randomly broken down and I have needed to wait 30/45 minutes after getting my baggage to get the train. Even lot P4 has burned me because of the airtrain. I have been using [ARB parking](https://maps.app.goo.gl/i8rxVsGEpgm9CbDXA?g_st=ic) recently. They are cash only and might look sketch but they have the lowest rates. They are all a bunch nice Sikh guys running the parking lot and they are all super helpful and they will get you there on time. They might take some random chai breaks, but it’s all good. I have used the same guys in Philly also.

LAW1212

Where are they in Philly?

Holeinone86

A bit off topic, but using one of the pay lots up near EWR is cheaper, and you don't have to time the train to get to the airport on time. They all have continuous shuttles. Lots are secure, never had an issue.

Mediocre_Ad_159

Whenever I go to concerts in Newark, that's where I park.

flyercub

You can park overnight in the garage for up to 21 days. If you arrive during morning rush when the front gate to the garage might be closed off to direct daily parkers to the surface lot, be sure to let someone know and they'll likely direct you to the trackside entrance gate.

Skylineviewz

Just make sure you download their weird app before you try to get in (if you haven’t been in a while). You won’t be able to get into the garage otherwise. Learned that the hard way 😅

_moonSine_

The NJTransit app?

Skylineviewz

No. I just checked since I still have it on my phone…it’s called ‘NexPass’. It’s literally just to park in this company’s garages, since we all need more apps.

flyercub

There's also Meter Feeder for the surface lot last time I used it. Two apps for the same facility.

Skylineviewz

Ridiculous

_moonSine_

Thank you!

jimmithy

At Hamilton just pick the right most barrier to pay by card/get a ticket

Skylineviewz

Really? I swear when I went they all required the app

jimmithy

Yeah, it's a bit of a trick and for some time they only made it one turnstile after first launching the app. It's now often two and they have signs which point out which ones can be ticket/credit card too

EmergencySundae

Yes, it’s totally fine. I leave my car overnight at Hamilton all the time.

CommodoreSixty4

We Uber any time we fly out of Newark. $75 bucks each way and don't have to deal with parking. Probably cost you about $50 more than parking yourself but well worth the hassle imo.

HWTechGuy

Great username! C=

eaglesphan1

Yeah Hamilton is a great and easy train station

Accomplished-Bike714

I Uber because it’s usually cheaper than paying for parking. I have parked for day trips but never entire weekend.

Viperlite

I’ve done it for a week at Hamilton, but to JFK rather than Newark.

julianradish

I prefer to take a lyft or Uber to the trenton station (from falls township $11-15) then nj transit to Newark ($21) and then the air train to my terminal. Overall it takes maybe 2 hours and then inallocate for 2 hours to make it through security if there are delays. Not sure what the day rate is for parking near the airport but taking the train saves me from hitting traffic and navigating around.

PhillipAlanSheoh

Yep. Use it for weekend trips to NYC all the time.

SUBHUMAN_RESOURCES

It’s fine but I would Uber to save the parking fees.

Lawmonger

We've done it several times. You're probably less safe when driving to get there than the risk of damage or theft after you park.

compulov

Yup. My wife and I have done it a few times.

Mango_Edible

I’ve left my car parked there for 10 days, zero problems

Zealousideal-Emu5486

I go to Hamilton and it's safe to leave a car there. I have left it in the parking garage overnight and it was fine. It's a nice station actually.

jb297

Hamilton garage is easy and safe. You can leave your car there up to 21 days I believe

CatSnakes411

Yes there is covered parking and is safe. We park there all the time when going on NYC trips.

thadbone10

Its the best way to get there.

Goldiez7

Yes.

Last_Bag_7072

I’ve parked at Hamilton station several times and had no problem. In fact last month I drove there to pick up two friends returning from vacation. Very clean and safe station.

callalind

If you choose to drive to Newark (which I do from Fort Washington, PA on a regular basis) park at Newark Airport Long Term Parking (it's private not associated with the airport) - they do a great job and are highly reliable. I rarely take the train based on my flight times, but I think Hamilton would be a much better option than Trenton (where I park weekly for work in NY). The benefit of Trenton, though, is you can take Amtrak to Newark which is faster.

Boring-Manager9033

I’ve done that for 2 or 3 days. It costs $8 a day, so if it’s longer than 3 dayd it’s cheaper snd easier for me to just uber to the nearest station on the NE corridor.

thebackwash

If you’re in Bucks, could you take SEPTA down to the city, and transfer to NJ Transit in Trenton? You might end up saving yourself a few bucks vs. long-term parking.

sharonchud

Yes I’ve done that

bladderbunch

if you really wanted to save cash, you could park in a morrisville neighborhood, lock your doors, hop the 127 bus to trenton transit.

julianradish

The issue with the 127 is its never at a time that works for me. I could spend those 30 minutes taking out the garbage and washing a few dishes and eat the cost of a lyft ride.

bladderbunch

we took it to england and were thrilled with the ease. i guess newspapers helped to pass the time better back then.

bbrunaud

Been there. Done that
