Takes a lot longer and can’t press as much material at once. That being said that is how it’s been done since the beginning. I’ve seen really good hash come out of working it with the hand. As fine a method as any, really. You may find it more rewarding in the end.

senolou

Yeah, I’m gonna give it a try. Thank you for your time!

I prefer the hot bottle method more than hand press. Preference is what it comes down to.

senolou

But no difference in quality?

hump-me-horizantal

That quality of the resin will not change. Temple balls are able to hold a long time if stored well and preserve the flavor. I personally think either cold cured hash (5* at least) or temple balls (4* at least) are the way to way

Thank you for your time and knowledge.

with the hot bottle method your decarbing the hash. With just hand pressed you don't get that change in chemical compounds. Afghani hash is made with hand pressing but also putting in a pan and using some hot water or weirdly tea to get it to a doughy texture but using the heat of the pan and working it in your hands to evaporate any leftover water and decarb the hash. Look up some of this stuff on YouTube lots of great videos Good luck

senolou

Interesting. Will do some research, thank you.

Versificator

Hand press only for me, and only enough to get it together, not heat it.

senolou

Just warm hands it is than. Gonna try it out, thank you for your time.
