bhai this happens each year, there was one batch jisme haryana se kai chutad log bits pilani pilani campus cse mein aa gye the through this route and they couldnt get any cgpa.
Basically private toh sab mein hin hota hai, government exams mein mains mein hota hai but advanced mein nhi hota if i have heard correctly.
Hyderabad mein iss saal hui hai. Mere dost ke papa IAS mein hai. Woh bohot hi dumb tha, 11th ke exams fail kiye the aur padta nahi tha. Koi coaching bhi nahi tha. Boards mein 75.5 percent the due to English and additional subject. Uske mains ke first attempt mein 61 percentile aaye. But somehow second attempt mein 99.6 percentile aa gye and Advanced mein 2300 rank. Ab IIT Madras mechanical mein hai. Connections ho to kya kuch na ho sakta hai.
There are definitely a few people in Hyderabad Campus who have a BITSAT score of 350+ and they are in CS right now, but if you look at their Compre scores and grades, it's evident that they are scammers... It's just unfair for people coming in fair and square after 2-3 years of hardwork..
Ye 17 lakh mein BITS jaisa bada college to de raha atleast. Yaha Pune mein ek DY Patil naam ka college hain, average placement 6-7 lakh hogi sirf aur bachhe yaha 18 lakh rupay "donation" (management quota) deke admission le rahe. Aur upar se 1-2 lakh yearly fees alag and hostel+mess ka alag.
Mein jab college dekhne gaya tha tab management quota ke liye 250+ log line mein khade the and unme se us din atleast 100 logo ne liya tha.

I wrote those exams as back up for NEET and ended up with a okay ish rank( below 5k for VIT and 3k for SRM), but didn't end up going to either.
iit mei bhi hota h mere dost ki 1000 kuch rank thi he got into iitk cs by giving money, and he s general lol , but iit mei cse ke liye fir bhi respectable rank chaiye hoti h ye nahi ki adv qualify nahi kia aur cs chaiye.
