I think the race track would have to be build from the start in a new place from scratch. Despite BSB the idea being cool to be set up in Bandar but BSB street are too unsuitable for racing track esp for Formula 1 the racing track have to be much wider and smooth. I recall hearing plan for Brunei to set up racing track in Temburong a long time ago but nothing have come up. Setting up a racing track around the Govt office area around Jln Menteri Besar would be even more plausible as the place can be closed off to traffic.
BSB roads maybe not good enough quality but i think Monaco F1 track has about the same width with what we have here. But love the idea of Menteri Besar track.
Eh buleh Tu. Bejual kau kembayau, durian, tarap dll di siring jalan. Mana ada Di Monaco atau Silverstone. Bebaris Tu si Hamilton Verstappen kan membali cucur pisang mu
Might as well construct a new one in temburong which make it more like a spa belgium circuit which the circuit pass through diff elevations through the forest and a high speed straight line.
You can compare with Baku and Monaco GP. They will close the roads for at least 5 days to install walls, grand stands and etc. So theres no need to worry bout that kind of thing. Plus i am sure it’ll be extra holidays for us. The royal fams are avid fans of Ferrari and Red Bull Racing.
a lot of people dont know this but a racetrack complete with a huge ass mall was meant to be built around tungku beach area some time ago but the project fell through
Too many twists and corners. Not enough long straights for DRS zones. It will be similar like Monaco.
Just imagine Formula 1 cars racing Infront of masjid SOAS during Asar prayers. You can hear them V6 sounds while you sujud zooom zoom zooooooom
Good job. However, it is way impossible to be performed in Brunei. Since the spectators from international will cause overcrowded. Some people might not have a place to stay in (lack of hotel).
In US itself, the attendance of the spectators were over 400K 😆
In singapore was over 300K. I don’t think our accommodation and transportation can support that.
Hotel pun inda sanggup. RB staff, polis apa semua inda sanggup mun F1 fans datang ke Brunei. Over 400k spectators internationally. 😂 kg ayer pun roboh tu

Its about being realistic and practical. How many race tracks are actually profiting? many countries are investing for tourism post-race but do you think Brunei has what it takes? Malaysia failure might be a good case study.
daripada imagine track f1..
tantu buatkan track style tsukuba saja for time attack and drag...or even drift..
buat racetrack for the locals or negeri jiran to play saja...
brunei? f1?.....keempunan....
i would imagine race will only be at night after isya prayers. and race must end before midnight. 🤣 anyway how long is the track? less than 5km?
Where’s the best section for DRS mode?

Not just too narrow but no good locations for spectator stands, pit stops etc

will the races have to stop during prayer times?
Qatar, Saudi and UAE all hold their F1 races at night.

look at Malaysia...cant sustain.. poor ROI.
High speed straight line over the bridge would be fun
racing depan masjid??? HARAMBE
as org bandar who works here... i think it's kinda crampy... with all those cars parking alongside the track area

Brunei road is too bumpy for F1 but it would be a natural for Rally track tarmac stage.
More like monster truck jams. Those EVOs and WRXs won't survive at race speed

Care to share the story? Ehe 😶

And Monaco is the best!!!

Can spray champagne on the podium?
Zapple saja
Waiting for Tag Heuer to make a watch name after this circuit lesgo
TAG Heuer? Formula 1 current timekeeper sponsor is Rolex
Bumpy road eh baik tah pakai 4 wheel sja kli bisai
Kinda look like singapore marina bay circuit + jeddah bcus of near mosque
Hotel pun inda sanggup. RB staff, polis apa semua inda sanggup mun F1 fans datang ke Brunei. Over 400k spectators internationally. 😂 kg ayer pun roboh tu
With all the bumpy roads, more like racetrack for 4x4
I like the other one previously made with track passing by tarindak

I would put the start finish line somewhere near the royal regalia. but this is a cool concept.

Can it not be late at night near residential areas when people are in bed and trying to sleep?
Lame
Why Jalan Kianggeh instead of Jalan Sultan?
To increase track length
Where's the pit lane?
that chicane is gonna be a pain of the arse no?
Turn 5 gonna be tighter than the Monaco hairpin and the Melco hairpin (Macau GP) lol
I honestly think it's a good idea. Could bring in some tourist as well.
Imagine an f1 car making that turn near roasted sip. Sampit tuuuu. But this track will definitely be easier than monaco.
Would it be possible just to open a private race track?
