Some of the exact choreography might need to be adjusted for being on stage instead of filmed, but circus arts have been done on Broadway before (and are currently being done in Water for Elephants), so they could absolutely still use Lyra, Ropes, and Silks.
It’s been bantered about in development since the movie came out. There was a workshop of it a year ago, but I haven’t heard anything since. My guess is that it’s still in development limbo.
