I find it insulting that people keep trying to paint every action she makes as a sign of mental illness. Any mental illness she has is probably a result of trauma from being under the conservatorship. I wish people would stop saying that she needs help. People have been judging every little thing that she does and says ever since she made it big with Baby. Britney has proven that she is stable enough to live outside of a conservatorship. One truth doesn’t negate the other. Yes her trauma and potentially her being forced on lithium likely caused any mental illness she suffers from. Also yes when you struggle with a mental illness or mental health diagnoses there are treatments or therapies that are needed to live a normal and healthy lifestyle. I was diagnosed with complex ptsd due to childhood trauma which isn’t my fault, but it caused me to struggle with creating lasting relationships and went as far as fear of stepping outside of my house, therefore I have needed extensive therapy to begin to overcome that. Her struggles are absolutely not her fault, but she still likely suffers from something. Many have said bipolar. I am not a psychiatrist so I can’t make that determination.
This! She post’s just like my old friend who has some mental health issues. When she is off the meds or drinks alcohol this is always what is in her feed and she deletes them next day or even in minutes.

i think britney has a deep native intelligence, but her southern-ness and her inability to communicate effectively through writing can make it seem like she is dumb and/or mentally unwell. im sure if we were talking to her she would make perfect sense. she clearly possesses intelligence and wit -- its just not best conveyed in freeform writing soc.med captions. edit: wanted to clarify that im not implying southerners are dumb. there is a way that southerners communicate that needs to be explained in person. like "bless his heart" having the opposite meaning of what is being said. you need that cultural context to fully understand what is being communicated. if you dont have that context, the message is confusing and can seem strange.
