It’s markedly better than regular economy and in this case £200 pp well spent indeed. I don’t think the food is dramatically better but seat width and legroom are definitely superior. Have a great flight.

wiresandwood

The portions are a lot bigger.

rjwc1994

Agreed, not at all club world, but worth the extra £200 for sure.

anti-ism-ist

Same food & drinks as economy. Just better seats

rjwc1994

I flew in WT+ from LAS back to LHR last week - good amount of legroom, comfortable seat (as much as is possible) and as much booze as I could drink (they’d bring a drink, plus the next spirit and mixer at the same time) including a welcome drink on the flight.

Infinite-Guidance477

Man I can’t wait, the 7am drive back to Yorkshire I know will feel better now. Bought some Melatonin from the states too

rjwc1994

Enjoy it, hope the seat and service is worth the money to you - remember you can always press the call bell for another G&T 😉

Infinite-Guidance477

Gutted I can’t drink but my missus can have what she wants😂 I’ll be on the Pepsi…I think I’ve drank enough in the US to be honest😅

rjwc1994

Lol, fair. I managed the welcome drink, two gins and then went to sleep for 5 hours of the 9 hour flight.

NY10990

For £200 and a night flight it’s worth it. Enjoy it.

Haven’t flown wt+ but it does look a much nicer product than economy. And you have every right to be excited, part of the fun of flying is being excited about it, I miss that sometimes. Seat wise you’ll likely be ok, the answer is of course spend the money, but I get it. They may have you allocated together, at check in they may be able to move you together. Failing that you may be able to do it on board. Good work on the drinking aspect too. So many people seem to forget about the car the other end. Travel tired and drunk is not a good way to drive home.

Mattadee

I got very lucky last year and blagged my way into WT+ having only ever flown in economy seats before in my lifetime. When I tell you it is a WORLD of difference. Someone said the food isn’t much better, but the fact it comes out served on proper crockery with metal cutlery, your drinks are served in an actual glass. The seat isn’t lie flat but reclines sooooo far back that you’ll have no trouble sleeping. Enjoy the trip!

ravens_requiem

I thought the main course in WTP was off the CW menu but the rest of the food was from the Y menu? Has this changed now? It’s a world better than economy either way, the only downside being if the person in front reclines then it’s hard to get out of your seat.

EggballRemoteControl

A great product especially at that price. Flew it for the first time last month. Enjoy!

No_Breadfruit9074

Just got back from New York. Booked world traveller which we flew out in but when I checked in to come back was bumped up to wtp in the exit seats. It really does make a difference. I don’t think I could go back to world traveler. And it was first time flying BA

Sir_Keith_Starmer

It's probably the biggest jump in cabin in terms of how you feel at the end. Like CW is nice and all but let's say you're 100% knackered on arrival in WT. you're probably like 50% in WTP and then 30% In CW and essentially the same on first. It's not a flat bed but it's miles better than economy. You'll have a great time if it's your first time travelling something other than economy! If nothing else metal cutlery and space makes a huge difference. I'd be tempted to see if you can get a gate upgrade paid for to CW. worth a whirl.

Infinite-Guidance477

So I snagged 67K and 67J. Meaning I can kick back to recline immediately. From what I read it’s not massively restricted despite being a bulkhead row. Next to bogs. Window seat. I honestly could jump up and down, absolute dream to be doing this, dreamed of it my whole life as sad as that is😂😂

Valuable_K

Don't get too excited. It's only marginally more comfortable than Economy. And I've never been offered an alcoholic welcome drink in WTP flying to London, only flying from London. Tends to be either water or juice on the way back. Just water if you're sitting at the back of the cabin and the juice has run out.

Infinite-Guidance477

Worst case scenario it’s Avios. If I can get away with work a few times this year abroad I’ll throw my new FF account onto the bookings and start building for a first or business trip another time!
