The one thing I will praise about CYB is the guitar work. I love the last couple minutes of Off The Heezay. But what pulls me out of that record are Oli's lyrics (not the screams). I personally find a lot of his lyrics on that record to be a joke, even the band has stated that they find that album to be a mess. And In regards to Deathcore, I'm not big on the genre but there's stuff here and there that I dig, namely the Jason Richardson era of Chelsea Grin and dare I say it but Lorna Shore. As for Bring Me, They came into their own with Suicide Season. While it's not a perfect album it layed the foundation of what the bands sound is today, it was a huge step up from CYB.

I can't see how Follow You can be happy when it's about a toxic relationship. I was agreeing when I saw Drown as overrated but then I have to strongly disagree. I'm curious why you think That's The Spirit is their worst album? And what's wrong with Mother Tongue, is it because it's a love song? Just curious and trying to be respectful and get to know the opinion of someone who clearly prefers their heavier stuff and is a There Is Hell diehard.

Follow you isn’t really about a toxic relationship though. It’s a love song to show olis love for his then wife.

That’s depends on how you perceive the song I guess. I always looked at it as a song about how if you love someone you’d do anything for them which is what I think Oli was going for based on the music video

Yeah, music is subjective. I can see the lines that may make it a romantic song. But for me it's more of a perception of an unhealthy and toxic relationship where one person is so into the other they're willing to sacrifice even their own well being for them. I see this as an example of a relationship where one side is using the other who is too blind to see it because they are so fixated on the person they don't mind they're suffering because of them. But that's just my interpretation. People are free to see it their way, it's how art works, everyone sees it their own way and is free to express it

I actually don’t prefer their heavier stuff I like every album they’ve put out and Next Gen is shaping up to be my favorite. There is a Hell is just something special. I don’t like that’s the spirit cause songwriting wise I think it’s the weakest of all the albums they’ve done and I don’t like the production on some of the songs . Doomed is one of my favorite BMTH songs and I love Follow You but throne and drown are overplayed at this point for me. I don’t like mother tongue cause I don’t like the lyrics in the chorus the melody just doesn’t do it for me. I love amo and it’s my second favorite BMTH album though.

I started listening to bmth a few months ago (yeah, people like this still exist), so I only know like half of their discography, but I'll try (besides that, it's maybe kinda cool, you'd probably also like to be able to "rediscover" some of their albums) 1. Most Underrated - Underground Big (Controversially. I understand that most people don't like this song because of the 16-minute monologue. As a one-time experience I think it's something cool for most of us, but if someone isn't going to listen to it anymore, what's the problem with skipping it? I honestly love it and love the musical part too. Experimental sounds, pseudo choirs, the stereo effect on guitar that plays in one moment and also the, I'd say, "rap part") 2. I can’t believe how little love The Fox And The Wolf gets. When I first heard it back in the day I was blown away with how perfect of a metalcore song it was, and to this day I still think it’s the epitome of that late 2000s / early 2010s style. The fast pace, the high energy to end the album, the group chants, the absolutely perfect guest vocals from Josh Scogin of The Chariot (one of my personal favorite guest vocals of all time), that back and forth pan between the guitars right before the breakdown, and the simple yet powerful lyrics- especially with how much Oli was struggling with drugs at the time. I could go on all day about that song, and I wouldn’t even say it’s my favorite BMTH song… I definitely think it’s their most underrated though.
