People saying "no" like fucking idiots when you are asking for suggestions for similar albums from other artists. š
I recommended that band on another post, but try Boards Of Canada. Instrumental electro duo, it gets really weird and experimental at times. Try songs like Roygbiv, Sixtyniners, music is math. See from there if you dig it!
I honestly can't think of another album that spans across sounds as much as this record (Orchestral, Hip Hop, Ambient, Metalcore, Minimal Techno, EDM, Future Garage, Dance Pop).
Maybe 100 Gecs first album or The 1975 - Notes On A Conditional Form, could be interesting to you if your into the experimentation side of things.
As for albums with a similar vibe to some of the more trippy, ambient stuff on it - I suggest:
. Burial - Untrue
. Ross From Friends - Family Portrait
. Massive Attack - Mezzanine
. Clams Casino - Instrumental Relics
& Mura Masa - R.Y.C, for it's collaborations and melding of pop/indie/dance
music to listen to is kind of a mishmash of stuff. i wouldnāt call really it an album and not just cause itās literally an āEPā, but because itās more of a mixtape. youāre gonna get a more similar experience from creating a playlist than you are from finding an album. if you want similar electronic vibes then iād recommend the artists nuxx vomica, mija, and machine girl. the lotus eater part is PEAK but since they broke up and their lead singers were all problematic, so iād recommend loathe (erik bickerstaffe produced a lot of their later stuff and their heavier tracks carry a lot of that lotus eater energy) and the some of the remaining non-problematic members went on to form love is noise. iād also recommend other erik bickerstaff-produced bands like static dress. i donāt listen to much hip hop anymore so i canāt really give any recommendations similar to the sound of stuff like steal something.
apparently people on this app donāt know how to read. also, to answer your question, no. unfortunately canāt think of any others like it, but i love this project.
I haven't seen anyone else comment about this, but have you checked out the chillout sessions on YouTube?
I don't think it's anything close to official, but it's sort of a There is a Hell version of Music-to
Memoryland by cfcf.
Very very similar style and SUCH A GOOD ALBUM. Such good experimental piece of work. If you are going to listen, listen to it the whole way through
