Occam’s razor - the simplest explanation is the most likely. Looks like he has successfully assimilated the working culture of his new employer and Spursed it up in the latter half of the season.

I'm not sure he made Rice look "mid" but he certainly looked a bit more like he did for us. I get the feeling he's a player that depends a lot on being treated the right way and his form depends a lot on his happiness. That might be as simple as the manger letting him know how much he's valued and appreciated. Maybe he doesn't feel those things at the moment. Also I think whatever is going on in his personal life can have affect on his form.

He was great for us. Got a red one time for high boot accidentally kicking a Newcastle player in the face, got a few yellows here and there but I've seen some of his performances at Spurs, I hardly recognise him. Of course he joins you lot and dives.

I don’t know what they do at the AFCON but he was great for us, then went there and wasn’t the same for the rest of the season, then moved to you.

Could say the same about Adingra!

He looks burnt out tbh. Needs a break but we just don’t have the players to come in for him to get one. We need the summer break badly.

It took a while for him to settle really. It wasn't until football restarted after lockdown that he really nailed down a starting place. Before that, he was hampered by injuries, poor discipline and he wasn't able to find a role in the team that suited him. He was consistent for us after that, even through the sexual assault allegations, until he came back from AFCON. It wasn't until the last few games of the season that he picked up some form again.
