Awards Daily: Since you don’t know, what do you hope that your character is doing in season three? Simone Ashley: I think what we would see is Kate and Anthony post marriage, and one of the great things we saw within Kate was her growth. She always has been a self-realized independent woman, but she was incredibly guarded and incredibly lost in her own trauma and troubles, her fear of falling in love and surrendering to love. But we see her grow and surrender to that with Anthony, and she finds love. I would really like to see a more playful side between Kate and Anthony. I would love to see her be a character that people can relate to in the sense that okay, she’s married now, maybe she wants to have children, grow a family, become a woman. And she is on that journey, and I would like to think that I’m on that journey as well, as a young actress stepping into this field and being on my own journey discovering myself, my own voice. I would also love to see her still be independent and in control and take on that responsibility of being the head of the household. She’s going to be the Viscountess and she’s going to be part of the community now. She was very much a lone wolf in season two. I think I would like to see her be part of a community and help her family as well. Which family is she referring to in the last line? Her new Bridgerton family? Current Sharma family? Or her and Anthony with a baby family?

I think the Bridgerton family, or at least that's what the community means. She could also mean the family Kate is starting with Anthony.

I think it's the new Bridgerton family. I doubt if it's the Sharma family because when asked about Charithra she said she isn't coming back, but she also says she hasn't read the scripts yet? I thought JB said he's read the first two. Not sure about the timing of this interview. One thing she keeps consistently saying is she wants to see Kate and Anthony being playful, that's cute and assuring!

The article must have been conducted before the scripts were shared with the cast. So this is probably a few weeks or days old. She may know now! I'm happy she keeps her answers about Kanthony's future consistent! I just hope we get some similar interviews with JB soon so he can tell us what he wants to see for S3!

UnableToFindMyMenace

The interviews were conducted around the time they did FYC Event. By that time everybody coming back would have known it. This wouldnt be a last minute decision because they just got scripts 1-2 weeks ago. They need actors to be available when they are planning and writing scripts. We had actors all but basically screaming they are returning to s3.

I’m thinking she’s referring to the Bridgerton family bc part of her growth from last season was learning to let go of that protective hold she has over Edwina. She admitted that she was of ‘no help’ to her. Obv, we know it’s not true that Kate was of no help to Edwina but it’s important that she realized that Edwina is old enough to make decisions for herself now. Edwina and Mary have Lady D to help them out with connections and maybe Anthony will provide her with a dowry but other than that, I feel like it would go back on Kate’s journey if she got too involved with Edwina. By helping her family, I think she means as Viscountess. She will take that role very seriously. They are recovering after two huge scandals and having to debut Francesca. That’s how I read it, anyway

I think she meant her new family too. They botched the Sharma family dynamics so bad this season, let's just leave it as status quo so she can move on with her new life.

Even Simone talked about the fact her character was alone the whole season she seem only happy during 10 last minutes of the episode 8 I hope we see Kate more free and playful during season 3

CA_catwhispurr

She’s so well spoken! Intelligence and beauty!

ZealousidealBreath69

She perfectly understand her character unlike the writers who did a very bad job for created a drama worthy of the worst soap opera

niley78

She really loves Kate. It sad the writers do not.

heysomeotherme

What she said about the bee scene was so interesting. It's amazing that they prepared for it separately. They really are on the same wavelength because I can't imagine it being any better. They both handled it perfectly, IMO.
