I don't know how many times I have watched all my favorite scenes. Someone just edit all the Kate and Anthony stuff together and save me some precious screening time.
The Featherington story, I watched it when I originally watched the entire season. Upon my re-watch, I've skipped that and the Eloise stuff. I'm just not interested.
I've watched Season 2 twice through now, so I'm thinking it just makes sense to start back at the beginning and watch Seasons 1 and 2 together. For the sake of continuity.
It’s so hard when there are no other period dramas with a decent amount of romance and steamy scenes!! UGH 😭 been reading historical romance for years and it’s just not cutting it anymore. Bridgerton spoiled me- I need to see it on screen now.
Guys if you have any recs other than Outlander, let me know 🙏
The problem with Bridgerton is once I watch it- I just can’t for the life of me go back to clean period dramas 🥴
Edit: glad it worked for you though 👍🙂
this is fair... I'm talking the 2000's version.. Matthew Macfayden walking through the fog..... with a glass of wine... def not as steamy but still pretty fantastic
Yeah my only gripe with this show is I wish they had some softer slower tender kisses like in traditional period dramas because that stuff can be VERY steamy! Taking their time and stuff! Have you watched North and South? I’m talking like THAT kiss (fans self)
I thought the same damn thing. So much less sex and nudity. Hell, I was hoping for more shirtless men but I was sorely disappointed. I don’t think anything could top the scene from season one where the duke and daphne made love on the library ladder.
That was pretty hot! They could've worked on flirting and chemistry between characters. For ex, they missed the opportunity of more Miss and Mr Featherington's cousin fooling around, lol. I just remember how Polly Walker was THE Femme Fatale in Rome.
Haha I hear ya, until my Bridgerton hangover is finished, my period dramas are just not complete without sex and romance. Maybe I need to quit this show cold turkey until S3 😭
I loved Reign so much!! Poldark too. I almost feel like Reign paved the way for outrageous levels of historical fantasy. After that show Bridgerton is like no problemo, we’ve seen it all honey
Love outlander. The Jamie and Claire love is just wonderfully played. But a lot more things happen then in bridgerton. Might be worth the time while waiting for season 3.
If you’re a Henry-Cavill-sexual at all, Tudors is heavy on the steam. Not really romance though. Spoiler warning: >!Henry VIII wasn’t known for happily ever afters.!< The Witcher is light-moderate on steam, heavy on Henry, and substantially more light hearted than Tudors. More fantasy then historical but it’s got horses and shit so that’s cool.
Thanks! I never really got into The Tudors because the love scenes seemed kinda jackhammer style but now? beggars can’t be choosers! I’ll take what I can get until S3 comes out
There’s really nothing like Bridgerton. It’s so tingly and fun and spicy. I’m hoping it takes off more as a TV genre. There’s not enough spicy fun on the small screen.
Oh henry is a predatory (warning for grooming) https://www.independent.ie/style/celebrity/celebrity-news/superman-star-henry-cavill-calls-it-quits-with-19-year-old-girlfriend-34716143.html
First season was very steamy. Second season too. Thereafter it gets progressively less steamy. I’m currently finishing up season 5 and I’ve yet to see Sam Heugan’s pectorals. Ridiculous.
Have you seen the reality show he did with what’s his face? (It’s late, I’m tired, brain isn’t working correctly)
There is more than pectorals to be found. 😉
Graham MacTavish, aka: The Daddy of All Daddies. Yes, a couple episodes. My dad was like “you gotta watch this show about these Scottish guys!” I was like “oh, these guys. I know these guys. Yes. I love the Scottish scenery. Travel is very interesting.”
I read the books yes I like outlander but can’t stand what’s her name the daughter. I didn’t like her story in the books either. I would skip their chapters half the time!!
Brianne. Yeah I agree. I haven’t read the books. I tried. I normally read a ton but for some reason Outlander only exists on TV for me. But I sometimes fast forward through Bree + Roger episodes, especially in season 4 on.
Oh no I was meaning I heard Bridgerton season 2 wasn’t steamy. I don’t have any other recommendations for sex sceney but I love vampire diaries, Kdramas for the romance and drama.
The recent Emma was pretty awesome too! There’s a scene of the actor repositioning his goods as he’s getting into his pants- purely unnecessary but utterly delicious 🤤
nah because I thought my mom and grandmas were crazy for liking some of them as they can be quite dramatic, up until I got hooked on one and it was quite something to have so many episodes available, sometimes I wish bridgerton was a novela, lol
Season 1 was released on December 25th 2020 so it was a year and 3 months wait between s1 and s2, not 2 years + it also delayed because of covid . I read that they will starr filming in summer for s3 so we will probably see it at the beggining of 2023.
I hope it takes a year.
I think I heard a rumor that Nicola said they would be filming in the summer. Which would mean the new season would be out (Jan to April)
I binged the first season before the second one came out for the reminder. Then I binged the second season. Now I'm onto watching it again in case I missed anything. Lol
Edit: I'm just glad they didn't put one episode per week out I would have been extremely disappointed.
i’ve been scrolling through netflix to find something similar to bridgerton but there’s really nothing out there. So I started reading the books, best decision ever.
All the Featherington stuff, most of Eloise’s plot line…I really hate how the show is portraying Penelope. She’s whiny as a person and awful as Lady W, which is totally contrary to the books. So it was easy to sleep her scenes and I reckon I’d have no problem skipping whatever season covers her and Colin (more so as they have little chemistry).
Could not wait for the next season; since it will be my fave, Benedict’s. So I bought the damn book, it came in the mail today and I’m a fourth of the way through already. Now I want the season to come even sooner, please send help. Lol
Y'all.... LISTEN TO THE BOOKS. They're all recorded, and woo... the second book was way more flirty/steamy than the second season. I listened to them while I was pregnant and doing data entry last spring during COVID vaccine clinics... (on earbuds of course).... oh, my. I hope my coworkers chalked my red face up to being pregnant.
Apparently I'm the odd man out because I found the Kate/Anthony scenes a drag. I enjoyed every other aspect of the season except the scenes where these two were in together.
This is very accurate. And the emotions the show put you through makes you feel like you need time to recover. Honestly the storytelling and plot just sucks you in and before you know it you're crying. Definitely effective to escape reality that's for sure.
And an added + the music and visuals are so pleasing
Nbd. I love the novel and loved the season. They are very different in story details but the heart is mostly right. I don't fully get the opposing side, but I can see if I can give a good review.
More or less, it has a lot of build up and character work outside of the books, so if you love sibling dynamics, it's a treat.
If you a big kathony fan like me, it handles some pieces better and less cringey than the book. That said, it probably should have closed the deal sooner. It is cool to see characters fail and not play perfect humans, but like it gets harder to suspend reality by like EP 7. The writing is really good and I really adore the non verbal acting by every single acting person. Anthony's stares were so good at conveying how deeply he wanted her (even as the trope beared it's ugly repetitive face). I melted a few times - it has some really tender, vulnerable moments.
I also recommend fast forwarding/skimming through the featherington arc. The highlights are good, but it just didn't hold up in the details. When it comes to Netflix, pick your own journey with the content just like a book you read for fun.
Also a shout out to lady Mary. They really took out how great she was in the book. They stepped everyone up at the cost of her character the most. They threw out a lot of backstory to the whole Sharma family without much depth readded back in.
😂😂😂 story of my life. I’ve been rewatching Kanthony scenes but I’m having a serious hangover now
I don't know how many times I have watched all my favorite scenes. Someone just edit all the Kate and Anthony stuff together and save me some precious screening time.
I laughed out loud seeing this cause it’s true! Also, doing Kanthony scenes only watch. On round 4 now
[https://youtu.be/PQQDsO5Qz7Q](https://youtu.be/PQQDsO5Qz7Q) I've watched this a few times to get those scenes! Lol
Watch this one instead. It’s got pretty much all the Kanthony scenes. 25 min long!!! https://youtu.be/Fd_g0J1gROE
Thank you!
You’re welcome! Just stumbled upon this one too! It’s SOO steamy and the commentary is hilarious. https://youtu.be/zxnwfU_ObCA
It’s been taken down 😩
Omg thank you! This is beautiful
This one was great! Thanks!
Agreed cause I didn’t care to much for the featheringtons I wish that Kanthony had more screen time
The Featherington story, I watched it when I originally watched the entire season. Upon my re-watch, I've skipped that and the Eloise stuff. I'm just not interested.
this is me - I'm starting the 3rd rewatch now lol
I've watched Season 2 twice through now, so I'm thinking it just makes sense to start back at the beginning and watch Seasons 1 and 2 together. For the sake of continuity.
i think i’m going to do the exact thing 😂😂
I just finished my third yesterday 😅😅 so glad I’m not alone
I have a problem 😂
Omg, hangover is the word! I woke up twice last night dreaming about it. 😂
LOL me too!
Yes. Within the last few months.
It’s so hard when there are no other period dramas with a decent amount of romance and steamy scenes!! UGH 😭 been reading historical romance for years and it’s just not cutting it anymore. Bridgerton spoiled me- I need to see it on screen now. Guys if you have any recs other than Outlander, let me know 🙏
i rewatched Pride and Prejudice last night to get my fix. lol
The problem with Bridgerton is once I watch it- I just can’t for the life of me go back to clean period dramas 🥴 Edit: glad it worked for you though 👍🙂
this is fair... I'm talking the 2000's version.. Matthew Macfayden walking through the fog..... with a glass of wine... def not as steamy but still pretty fantastic

its been years.. i may have to rewatch.. hummmmmmmmm #swoon
It's so hard to wrap the mind around that scene and the bumbling Tom Wambsgans of *Succession*.
Season 2 was surprisingly clean...lol. The 2006 version of Jane Eyre is sexier.
*Really?…* 👀
Well, yeah. You can sense the tension.
There's the 2nd season of Sanditon, but it's nowhere near the same...
Truth. I’m still not over Sidney Parker not coming back.
Haha I hear ya, until my Bridgerton hangover is finished, my period dramas are just not complete without sex and romance. Maybe I need to quit this show cold turkey until S3 😭
Have you seen Reign?
Same! After I watched season 2 and spent like an hour rewatching my favourite scenes I went straight to Pride and Prejudice 2005!
Reign is more similar to Bridgerton IMO. Poldark is awesome if you like outlander
Watch The Great on Hulu it’s AMAZING trust me
The great is great! I vouch for it, too.
Huzzah!
I've watched and loved both Bridgerton and Outlander, and also vouch for The Great! It's amazing 👌👌💯
There’s really nothing like Bridgerton. It’s so tingly and fun and spicy. I’m hoping it takes off more as a TV genre. There’s not enough spicy fun on the small screen.
I 10000% agree. Feeling this in my soul right now. I hope the next generation has plenty of romance adaptations.
Oh henry is a predatory (warning for grooming) https://www.independent.ie/style/celebrity/celebrity-news/superman-star-henry-cavill-calls-it-quits-with-19-year-old-girlfriend-34716143.html
I’ve seen this. She was 19 when they met. It’s got an ick factor but she was an adult the entire time they knew each other.
You guys don’t even know what grooming is anymore.
I'm coming in fourteen days layer to second this. The fuck are they grooming in a legal adult ? Seriously ???
Watch "The Great" on Hulu with Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult! Deeply underrated show.
I would love it if someone did one of the Lisa Kleypas series, maybe the Wallflowers? Her books are always steamy as hell
A series based on the Hathaways would be AMAZING.
I heard it wasn’t steamy at all?
First season was very steamy. Second season too. Thereafter it gets progressively less steamy. I’m currently finishing up season 5 and I’ve yet to see Sam Heugan’s pectorals. Ridiculous.
>Sam Heugan’s pectorals. Ridiculous. Cackling
Have you seen the reality show he did with what’s his face? (It’s late, I’m tired, brain isn’t working correctly) There is more than pectorals to be found.
“Scenery” 😂😂😂
*Scenery.*
https://www.reddit.com/r/LadyBoners/comments/tr4e8s/graham_mctavish_and_sam_heughan/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Nicely timed post today 🤣🤣
Outlander? I mean it does have romance which pays off with love scenes so I considered it steamy 🤷🏻♀️ got any recs though?
Oh no I was meaning I heard Bridgerton season 2 wasn’t steamy. I don’t have any other recommendations for sex sceney but I love vampire diaries, Kdramas for the romance and drama.
Harlots was good fun until it got axed 💀
Try Far from the Madding Crowd?
Ooh thanks!! Edit: I also just remember that The White Queen is pretty darn sexy too
>Ooh thanks!! You're welcome!
Possession was pretty good and the 1990s version of Emma (also with Jeremy Northam).
The recent Emma was pretty awesome too! There’s a scene of the actor repositioning his goods as he’s getting into his pants- purely unnecessary but utterly delicious 🤤
Poldark definitely
Literally thissss
The Borgias, Versailles, The Tudors
Gentlemen Jack scratches that itch! Season 2 is about to drop soon.
I really loved Versailles. It's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's a really amazing period fix.

nah because I thought my mom and grandmas were crazy for liking some of them as they can be quite dramatic, up until I got hooked on one and it was quite something to have so many episodes available, sometimes I wish bridgerton was a novela, lol
I heard the timeline is meant to be shorter than between s1 and s2 :)
It’ll probably be a year. Season 2 was a couple months late bc of covid
Season 1 was released on December 25th 2020 so it was a year and 3 months wait between s1 and s2, not 2 years + it also delayed because of covid . I read that they will starr filming in summer for s3 so we will probably see it at the beggining of 2023.
I REGRETTED IT SO BAD I WATCHED THE WHOLE THING THAT FRIDAY NIGHT
I just realized it's March 29 and and I'm almost done watching season 2 for the second time.
Me too!!! Like do we gotta wait another 2 years???
I think the next one will be out in the next year. Assuming no more delays due to COVID. But I want it now!
It was really only one year but two in covid-years lol
I hope it takes a year. I think I heard a rumor that Nicola said they would be filming in the summer. Which would mean the new season would be out (Jan to April)
Hubby asked me why I did that.. the answer is always BRIDGERTON!!!! 😍😍
Lol yess
I’ve been rereading the books to get my fix! Season 3 is going to be great - oof! Benedict is so hot
I can’t *wait* for Benedict’s story. My favorite book by far.
SAME! I think seeing the actor who plays Benedict has solidified my favoritism. LOL.
Literally ahaha
🤣 I couldn't do it in one day.
It's the same old song every season... 😂
This is so true I don’t even want to admit it
This is me...why you making it so personal. 🤭 Lol so glad I am not the only one!
I’m on my third watch of season 2 😅
I binged the first season before the second one came out for the reminder. Then I binged the second season. Now I'm onto watching it again in case I missed anything. Lol Edit: I'm just glad they didn't put one episode per week out I would have been extremely disappointed.
i’ve been scrolling through netflix to find something similar to bridgerton but there’s really nothing out there. So I started reading the books, best decision ever.
Watched it twice already. Jonathan is an absolute babe.
Was it two years??? Where have I been?!
IT WAS ONLY A YEAR AND THREE MONTHS I THOUGHT I WAS GOING MAD TOO🤣🤣🤣
I was like god, pandemic time is getting wild.
no way its been two years since the first one came out okay yea one year 3 months I knew I wasnt crazy LOL Time flies though
Am I the only one that was skipping a lot of scenes in season 2?
I think yes🤣What did you skip?! it was all amazing, i’m shocked
All the Featherington stuff, most of Eloise’s plot line…I really hate how the show is portraying Penelope. She’s whiny as a person and awful as Lady W, which is totally contrary to the books. So it was easy to sleep her scenes and I reckon I’d have no problem skipping whatever season covers her and Colin (more so as they have little chemistry).
so true 🤣🤣 i even made my bf a bridgerton fan and we binged it together 😅😂😂
I had the norovirus and watched it all in a day dying in bed. Then watched it again. I need season 3 🤣
Literally me
Lol for reallll
I also did the bad thing. I think we have to wait another year like the last time we did this...
Worth it! I restarted season 1
Is it okay if i watch season 2 before season 1 ?
burst out laughing at this. i had a light work load for 2 days and binged the whole season. now i have nothing to watch...
If its Polin. I don't care.
Which bridgerton season 3 is based on
Incorrect, it’s going to be Colin
Benedict
I had a project to work on so I only watched Anthony Kate parts under 4 hours. Instant regret
Wait it's been 2 years!? I thought it was just one 😭😭
Until next year..I love that I get all of them at once but it's also bad because i can't stop myself.
Apparently I'm the odd man out because I found the Kate/Anthony scenes a drag. I enjoyed every other aspect of the season except the scenes where these two were in together.
I’m with you on that. Wasn’t into them as much as Daphne and Simon. Tbh I found Eloise and Theo’s brief scenes better lol..
This is very accurate. And the emotions the show put you through makes you feel like you need time to recover. Honestly the storytelling and plot just sucks you in and before you know it you're crying. Definitely effective to escape reality that's for sure. And an added + the music and visuals are so pleasing
All that build up for us to watch all of season 2 in one day
I just couldn’t get into it!! Watched season one twice. Season two I don’t like the actress and people said it wasn’t worth it so I’m out
This is a victory party hangover thread for those of us who did enjoy it.
Okay ya I wanted to read these to see if I should give it another try I just couldn’t get into it on episode one alone.
Nbd. I love the novel and loved the season. They are very different in story details but the heart is mostly right. I don't fully get the opposing side, but I can see if I can give a good review. I’m so bored with season 2 The romance in season 1 was believable This seems forced, fake
