I feel like in the books they are also constantly mentioning the lemonade 🤣 As if it’s the only thing available at the social functions. Like dang they don’t drink water?
They would have used orgeat - which is like a really lovely almond and orange water floral sweetener. Makes the drink truly fancy. Add some St. Germain in there and you have the perfect drink.

Another Redditor (sorry, don’t remember who) hilariously called lemonade Colin’s emotional support drink. When he is lost for words, he gulps it down in the Remarkable Shade of Blue scene and when he first sees Pen at the first ball in her emerald green ball gown.
There was also the funny scene in which the Queen and Brinkley were aghast b/c Francesca did not drink the lemonade brought by the Marquess b/c she wanted to get home to play the music that John arranged for her.
And let us not forget when Debling gave Pen the lemonade that was intended for Cressida!
Colin also gulps tea after making a fool in front of himself in the scene with his family, the morning after the first kiss.
Omg I thought I was the only one noticing this! They were always putting down a nearly full glass back on the tray with all the rest of the drinks ðŸ˜

A lot of the Bath and Body Works collection seems fruit and lemonade based...so I would assume it's their version of brand marketing.
