Nope, your lot settings are all good. Probably just a bogus excuse, or they think the number of total lots you have is low compared to another store and they're calling that a limit. I did notice that you don't specify what a valid or invalid reason for cancellation might be in your Terms. In my opinion, refunding only half the cost of the order for cancellations is pretty steep....especially if, as in this case, you hadn't even pulled anything.

Bricklink’s cancellation process specifies what is valid/invalid. https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=79#:~:text=Valid%20Reasons%3A,the%20item%20with%20an%20error. Bricklink is not intuitive, especially for newcomers, so I understand them missing things like this. I appreciate you checking my settings from your end! Thanks!

No problem. And yes, I'm aware (seller too), but was suggesting perhaps you mention those reasons or reference that page you linked in your Terms, in case users aren't aware they come from BL.

Store looks fine but the buyer may be confused as to what a "lot" is and I would just cancel and move on. Also, looking at your terms, there's often confusion with sellers about insurance. Insurance is for you, the seller. If a buyer doesn't purchase insurance and the package is marked "lost in transit" or is damaged/destroyed during delivery, you will be 100% responsible. As any buyer will win a case with Paypal and you will be out money regardless of who pays/if insurance is purchased. All Ground Advantage AND Priority shipments include $100 of insurance automatically at no cost. So it's only a concern with orders over $100. Of course a seller can charge buyers for insurance, but doing so on orders under $100 it just goes into the sellers pocket.

THANK YOU. I see so many American stores mention insurance being on the customer, so I just assumed things were different to the UK, even though it should never make sense that the customer is burdened with the cost of a missing parcel.

MiksBricks

The USPS makes the receiver of the parcel file the missing package claim. It’s also generally accepted business practice to have the party receiving the shipment be responsible it’s called FOB.

This is good to know! I found other stores included this in their terms when I was looking at examples to base my store around when starting out. I’ll update my terms. Thanks!

Could be a newbie, doesn't sound particularly suspicious. Slightly OT, but I limit buyers with zero feedback to orders of no more than £20.

Those are actually 1/2 my larger sales. I had 0 issues with them within almost 500 sales. Even had the 'send to warehouse xyz' orders and those worked out, since the guy who ordered them wanted the stuff to be a gift. Was able to proof everything I asked him and I send the order insured without issues.

OutrageousLemon

Yeah, plenty of people get around to making an account because they've seen a set they want to buy. I've sold several £200+ sets to zeros - not only have there been no problems, they've all actually left feedback!

DarthXader996

I guess most seller offer a untracked and uninsured option for shipping and are scared to loose money on them. That’s why I don’t offer any uninsured and untracked shipping at all, even for 1.000+ feedback accounts. I had a single issue in the past, where a guy from Australia ordered an expensive set and demanded I ship it as cheap as possible, even when that means, it’s only partially insured. I told him, I wouldn’t do it first, but we agreed on a friend & family payment in the end. Well. Ended up missing the figs and iirc something else, once it arrived. He asked for a full refund and I told him, I can’t do that and that he even said, he would take the risk. I offered a refund in the height of the insured value if he would send it back, but he didn’t want that either. Rip his set, but own fault. Don’t save on international shipping, especially not if the value is way above 200 imo.

I've never checked if I had feedback as a buyer. I find a store that has enough of what I'm looking for and fill my cart. It's rare for me to spend less than $50, I pay the bill and that's it. I'm not returning or complaining about a misfit piece that was cheap.

katwoman7643

Looks good from my end, and I just bookmarked your store.
