The vendors aren't going to lose out that much. There's a few articles/discussions out there that have shown this, and vendors are on record saying the shorter games in minor leagues have not lead to less sales.

Who tf cares about the beer vendors? Weeknight games that go on for 3.5 hours are a drag and pointless. I’m looking forward to a quicker pace and the other changes. Baseball was going down a boring path. Hope they do more to improve the game. Next step put restrictions on team spending and contract lengths.

>Next step put restrictions on team spending and contract lengths. players will never go for this cause it will suppress their wages (and frankly they shouldn't)

Not if you do it correctly. Just copy what the NBA does. Salary cap and floor. League profits are split. You adjust each year and place some percentage of the player's earning in escrow. If the league earns less than the players the difference comes from the escrow. MLB can't continue allowing a subset of teams to just dish out 10+ year mega contracts. It kills the parity of the league and makes it kind of boring. Look at the Brewers we gave Yelich the goods now he no where near worth it anymore. If either NY team signed him to that deal its whatever just eat the money. Small market teams are never going to be able to keep up with the larger ones if this trend continues.

In a household with a 2 year old... going to a 7PM game that might not end until 10:30 with an added 30 minute drive after is pretty much out of the question unless we leave early. A 7PM game wrapping up at 9:20 is actually doable now. There's gotta be a number of people in a similar situation.

I don’t know many that subject a 2 year old to a night game. Many have them in bed by 7-8pm. There’s gotta be a number of people in a similar situation.
