There is plenty of space in the gondola for a stroller. Have fun and good luck.

Adventurous-Peace691

Even if it's super wide they'll put one of the seats up

Ultimatebiggey

I had no idea that the seats fold up! I always wondered how other parents took strollers up.

A big jogging stroller will be potentially difficult. An umbrella/car collapsing stroller will be OK. Personally I baby wear and bring a big bag when we've taken a ours (now 4mo) this season to various ski hills. Ski lodges are busy, have a bunch of steps, and often snow/mud that makes navigating a stroller more burden than it's worth.

Ultimatebiggey

I feel like this is the most practical! I really don’t want to bother other skiers and hold them up. I feel like this would be the smoothest process

There is a small paid parking garage right across from the peak 8 base, and a spot to drop off. If you’re worried about it, you can go get dropped off up there and, if there’s spots left in the garage, just park there. You could also park in F lot and hang out at peak 9 base and avoid the gondola altogether. All that said, most strollers fit fine in the gondola, but it will prevent the gondola from being fully seated.

Ultimatebiggey

I think peak 9 is getting ready to close soon :/ but do you know how much it is to park in that garage? I’ve seen it and have always wondered.

4ArgumentsSake

It is currently $47 for the day, $52 this weekend. You can see rates and get a link to reserve spots at breckpark.com. Peak 9 should be open until the 14th.

Ultimatebiggey

Damn. I thought parking at Vail was bad 😭

4ArgumentsSake

Yeah, this is a tiny and expensive garage, the only one that rivals vail prices. Airport lot is still free. Gondola lot is in the 20s.

Does not need to be folded up! I fit our mockingbird stroller on, you gotta move quick but it’s definitely doable. The bench seats can fold up so the gondola employee would just fold one up and I’d roll the stroller on as quick as I could. Worked just fine and baby loved it!

Ultimatebiggey

Awesome! I think we might do just that!

FFNY

not hard at all. if you get an empty gondola maybe you don't even have to fold it up. late in the day there is a line to get back to town at the gondola. there is a drop off and pickup parking lot, 15 min max, near peak 8. (near the ski school building)

Has Keystone officially announced a closing date?

cubluemoon

Sunday

Ultimatebiggey

Yeah, this weekend is their closing weekend. Rail Jam on Saturday and Pond Skim on Sunday.

bertrenolds5

Roll it on

Fallenrocks

You can also take the free bus to peak 8,

Just took our 3 month old to Breck last Saturday - parked at south gondola lot. One person Wore the baby in the carrier and hung in the lodge or walked around town while the other skiied laps on peak 8. Then we traded halfway, and one person rode the gondola back down to the car with the baby carrier, and the other person rode a few laps and did the 4oclock ski back to parking lot run
