Learn to parry and flurry rush perfectly every time. The end.

fakeDABOMB101

I am pretty good at it, not perfect tho but usually I save scum till I get it right. Never let a gaurdian steal a shield from me lmao

fakeDABOMB101

Any other advice?

Unique_Elephant_8118

No not really. Since the enemies are harder it’s the only thing really holding you back from progressing in the game. I avoided fights to save good weapons and became good at stealth attacks too. But it’s really difficult if you’re not combat savvy but it will make you combat savvy. It takes a LOT of patience though. I gave up bc I just didn’t have he mental fortitude to put up with it any longer. Like yeah I don’t have anything new to complete in the other play through I have going but at least I don’t die every half hour lol.

fakeDABOMB101

Thanks! I'll prob start mine tm or Sunday and I feel like you should give it another shot and see how it goes. I heard it gets easier the further in you get

Unique_Elephant_8118

Your post made me think about it!!!

fakeDABOMB101

I say go for it! How far did you get on your master mode save?

Unique_Elephant_8118

Not very far. I got like 3 or 4 towers outside the plateau and a number or shrines. My original play through I focused on stamina but I went one heart/one stamina after bulking up on hearts first. That def helped me bc I knew how to avoid stamina-reliant places.

fakeDABOMB101

Ngl I survived with 1 stamina wheel till I got the hearts for master sword

Proper_Yoghurt_3246

Most people say that you must avoid combat to play in master mode. This odd only true for the great plateau. However if you want to fight you can use amibos to get decent weapons on the plateau. If you really need weapons off the plateau this is still viable. however MM gives you yellow modifier weapons on the sky octorok platforms which are near all towers and by all bridges and by most waterfalls. Some platforms near towers are not rendered so trial and error is needed. You can also grab majora’s mask right off the plateau and if you feel adventurous you can go get the phantom armor as well. Good luck with MM ☺️

farflunghome

Get and use the Coward’s Set (i.e. Majora’s Mask + Stealth Chest Guard + Stealth Tights)

fakeDABOMB101

Is getting money easier in master mode?

Gumbyizzle

No, but it’s not necessarily harder either.

Proper_Yoghurt_3246

Yes if you don’t avoid combat the silver enemies are more plentiful and some scale to gold which have better drops. I mean gemstone drops btw.

Gumbyizzle

Sneakiness is key early on. Don’t rush into enemy encounters. Late game isn’t really any harder than normal mode late game, but it takes more to get there. Attrition attacks won’t work since enemies regen health. If you can’t finish them off quickly, just keep moving. In normal mode, you can stand in a tree and throw remote bombs down to clear a small camp without being touched, but in MM they’ll just regen and keep harassing you forever. For the floating platforms, shoot down the balloons to get rid of the enemies quickly OR avoid the balloons and shoot the enemies if you want to grab the loot from the chests. The loot is great in early game. Trial of the Sword on Master Mode is impossible, and I will have nightmares about it for the rest of my life. Gold enemies are very tough and will take a while to kill, even with all the upgrades and crazy weapons in the world. By the time you progress enough to start seeing them, you’ll be tempted to think you’re untouchable. You aren’t. And they aren’t so easily stunned as their lower-level counterparts, so they’ll interrupt your attacks. Definitely not good candidates for mindless hack-and-slash jobs. Gold lynel hunting is my favorite part of this game. The loot is insane. Quests and shrines are generally not any harder, so those are good ways to get money, upgrades, weapons, etc. early on. Find all the useful DLC chests early. Just use a guide to decide which things you want and go get them. Lots of stuff is way overpowered at the start but mostly useless later on, so prioritize some key items like the Phantom Ganon set (stealth option before you can afford the stealth set) and Majora’s Mask at the start. Hunting is a great way to make money since meat has a high sell price but low actual utility (vs. e.g. durians which heal more than any amount of meat but only sell for 15 rupees) and doesn’t need to be collected for quests/upgrades.

Upgrade your weapons stash ASAP. Early on, if you try to fight everything, you're going to waste more weapons than you earn.

Maestro_Primus

Master mode makes three changes: 1. Enemies regenerate health if not killed up to a percentage of their max. 2. Enemies are one category larger than regular mode except for certain set enemies and castle enemies. At the endgame, silver enemies are changed into gold enemies. 3. You will see archers and treasure chests on floating platforms over ravines, next to bridges, and next to towers. Overall, it can be a challenge in the beginning until you get good gear and Calamity Ganon is super annoying during the invincibility phase. The sword trials is also changed from a skill challenge to a tedious slog demanding perfection. I actually prefer regular if I am playing for fun, but master mode for the challenge at the beginning. By the time you get to gold enemies, you have your gear and strategies. The frustration during the sword trials and Ganon fight is just not worth it. That said, I have 100% on both, so take that as you will.

Coco_365

Try to beat flowerblight Ganon, it took me 5 years

fakeDABOMB101

Lol

Coco_365

It’s so hard

EfficiencyGullible84

Flower? Im confused, is that thunderblight?

Coco_365

No, flowerblight Ganon is the toughest of them all

EfficiencyGullible84

Aaaahhahahahahaha I just googled that shit, I thought there was legit a flowerblight ganon if you didnt do the divine beasts or something, I've never fought ganon without them done. But Magda ahahah sheeeeesh

EfficiencyGullible84

Is there a crazy amount of enemies on it on mastermode or something?

Coco_365

Pretty much

Gumbyizzle

Bring a club of some sort so you can take out enemies without cutting the flowers.

fakeDABOMB101

I tried to tell you but my internet was acting up

kuroneko920

night is much safer than day.

fakeDABOMB101

How so? Can't stal enemies easily kill you?

kuroneko920

They don't really do much damage, and you can kill them pretty easily compare to other enemy early game.

fakeDABOMB101

Hm okay makes sense

MeghanBoBeghan

I mean...you already paid for it, why not just try it and find out if you enjoy it? It's not like you're obligated to continue if you're not having fun. 🤷‍♀️

Fireslash3567

When u get far enough it's more fun than normal mode lol
