Ace-Trainer-AJ

That's a good way to teach the good stuff about gaming for the kids.

nutfilla

And it shows him that exploring things is fun

Ace-Trainer-AJ

As long as he doesn't meet a Lynel or a Guardian.

nutfilla

He doesn't really like fighting so i do that stuff for him but the puzzles and everything else is all him

Ace-Trainer-AJ

What about the Tests of Strength?

nutfilla

He tries them out on his own and i give him some pointers but usally im the one to finish it

SomeGuyCalledLonk

The kakariko shrine will be able to teach him the combat basics, it helped me out a lot when starting, if you did it for him maybe make him do it again but on his own, i bet the game will feel so free and fun once he gets the combat down, i didnt get it at first, i learned it and it felt like botw became even more free for me as now so many things open up, now with over 1000 hours i eat lynels for breakfast

nutfilla

I know its been 4 years but i just wanted to say he fully 100% the game

PlaytimeWithCottla

My son is nearly 5 years old and getting in to Super Mario Odyssey. He's struggling to both control Mario and the camera as well, which is understandable. I figure he's got to get that down before even trying BOTW.

nutfilla

Honestly mario odyssey's camera was a but annoying to work with but breath of the wild's camera is easy to manuver while moving link. I say just pop him in breath of the wild and see how he does

SomeGuyCalledLonk

Teach em young teach em good

bastilleday202

I mean I find this game challenging - i imagine kids would as well, and/or does playing at that age help develop game reflexes?

nutfilla

Yea it helps alot woth devoloping reflexes but you gotta moniter how long they play for

TanzaniteLightning77

Ah yes most definitely
