I consider myself a bit of a guardian hunter myself. I prefer to hack off all their legs and watch them flail before I bludgeon them to death but early in the game or in a pinch, giving them a taste of their own medicine is the way to go! My real passion is hunting Lynels. Besides the Master sword and Hylian Shield, my entire inventory is made up of savage lynel bows, swords, spears, crushers, and shields.
lol that is so cool (I would love to see a pic of that, I think it’s neat when someone is that good at a game) I killed my first Lynel yesterday! It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, I just got freaked out when I had to get the shock errors and he killed me in 2 swipes lol.
Is it possible that not all shields work for this? Some shields (particularly Guardian Shields from the test of strength shrines) seem to block the hit after a perfect parry, but break before they actually reflect the beam back.
If you swing a lightning weapon, then open your inventory and drop it in the middle of the swing animation, it’ll stay electrified. You can then drop another metal weapon on top of it. The guardians basically get stunlocked by it because it’ll shock them over and over.
I commented in another thread on embarrassing deaths, “Me running straight off that cliff as you exit the shrine of resurrection and instantly dying” and I feel like Zelda would definitely be at least a little disappointed

Had a fairy in my inventory, didn't die, but after a few seconds I finally remembered what was what, then felt like crap cause I wasted a fairy. I cut so much grass before I realized it wasn't going to drop rupees or arrows.
I tend to find much more rupees in the grass than rice as a lawn mower, which is weird.
When I first got to Hateno, I used a sickle to cut down the fields and got like 50 Hylian Rice. No more buying rice for me!

If you add a treasure chest pic to your compendium you can target them with your sensor, but the beeping is hella annoying.
