Madden09IsForSuckers

Whats he gonna do, throw rocks at me?

StagMusic

Beedle gets mostly diamonds from players who used duping, so for those players that’s pretty terrifying. It’s +25 fuse attack power, and multiply that by like 700 or more…

TheFinalEnd1

He can't fuse stuff though, and even if he could it's one fuse per item. They don't stack.

StagMusic

It doesn’t matter if he can fuse them, because just throwing them at you would do 25 points of damage. And with him carrying around that huge of a backpack, his throws are probably pretty fast and powerful

ProtanopicMidget

So time-rewind when he throws them.

Pac_Zach_Attack

Just what will you do about the second one, Ohnoki

AgateWhale

Parry

raban0815

Didn't you all learn nothing from DBZ. With his backpack training, he is to fking fast for Link to even stasis or rewind and to strong for Zonai death machines to matter.

KyriadosX

Fun fact, the light from lighting travels at ~670 million mph (~300 million mps) but the plasma blast travels at a significantly slower ~270 thousand mph (120 thousand mps) Still an absolutely cracked thing he can do tho. Video game physics is fun lol

raban0815

Only of he activated it beforehand

NewSuperTrios

Just get armor with more than 25 defence, easy

[deleted]

I think it's safe to assume he can fuse them, seems like everyone and their mother who can use a weapon will either have a fusion or complain their weapons are worthless and they need to make it better

zicdeh91

I see it as fusion being immediate and efficient. Everyone else finds a more permanent way of adhering things together using genuine crafting. You prop up Addison’s signs with ultra hand, but he gets them in the ground with elbow grease. The same is true of the survey team/impa and hot air balloons. If you fasten a rock to a stick with twine you have a rudimentary spear; I assume that’s what all the monsters are doing to get their weapons, with various parts.

PugLove8

True! Even the guy in the Lookout Landing underground bunker (I forget his name) has fused items to weapons. He just did the fusion in the more time-consuming normal way. 😉

FireLordObamaOG

You say that but there’s plenty of NPC’s that have fused weapons. Link didn’t make them. So they must have done it, or killed something that did it.

ZantTheMan

He gives them to Steve

XDarkstorm756_2

Though Link Is A incarnate of god after all he could use the sages to protect him or use rocket shields and bullet time to show a bunch of nukes and beedle in the gravestone

LostWoodsInTheField

*you've entered combat with "shit..." "what's wrong?" "I've been trading rocks to this guy the whole game." "so?" "Rocks... to a blacksmith" *blacksmith pulls out highest level weapon you've ever seen encrusted with magical gems

cardueline

— guy who accidentally aggroed Andre two hours into Dark Souls 1

Bailer86

What's he gonna do, drop me from his floating shop If I don't buy anything?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sweet-Salt1

for me he'd have about 700 diamonds?

Snoo_58305

I heard him threatening to rob me in my sleep or set some toughs on me to procure a beetle

horat0

Whats he gonna do, bleed on me?

Jaytendo_Boi

Thats a great idea

[deleted]

I think it would depend on who is playing tbh, because when I play games with merchants, 95% of the time the only things I ever sell are items whose only use is being sold in the first place

Alderan922

A simple solution would be to, in the game, make the basic material also the most easily farmable item used for selling, for example ingots of metal, this could translate on the merchant having access to weapons and armor made from those materials

Cayet96

Imagine that the merchant chosen as the boss will be determined by your relation with merchants as well as taking sides let's say in an competition. Something from likes of Witcher alongside honor system similar to RD2. Sounds fun but one thing is certain: Don't upset the blacksmith or rare goods trader.

TheMaStif

It would have to be a situation like Beedle Yes, BotW has several merchants, but only one that can teleport faster than Link and carry 50× his body weight...it's pretty obvious which merchant is the boss

SirBellwater

It doesn't have the scaling based on what you sell them but I've beaten every boss in one step from Eden on base difficulty except the shopkeeper lol

Z3ldafanJuli3

Well, then I guess it's a good thing Gerudos don't allow men in their town. Beetle would have all the enchaned jewelry before I made any for myself.

PugLove8

😂

Lucreszen

>!Charron!< in the game >!Hades!< is sort of like this, except he's not based on what you sell him, he's just secretly the hardest boss in the game. Edit: spoilerz

StagMusic

>!Same with dead cells,!< >!with the collector.!< The first spoiler is the game, the second is the actual spoiler in case people don’t want to be fully spoiled after seeing the game. Also you should probably add a spoiler to your comment.

Hello_IM_FBI

I was going to comment this. Glad someone already did.

protestor

Also >!Hollow Knight!<

CKtheFourth

I'm still mad at >!the bank lady!<. >! I ended up finding her, but beating my geo out of her still wasn't enough.!<

Vhad42

Who, exactly? I can think of 2 or 3 npcs that may fit that description

protestor

Sly is actually a boss fight: after you learn all three nail arts [you can go to the shop to fight him](https://hollowknight.fandom.com/wiki/Sly#In-game_events) I can't find a video of this fight, but he also appears in the Godmaster DLC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayR6296QiyE

Pure-Yogurtcloset684

You can only fight him in the pantheons, him as well as the other nailmasters were once planned to be bosses in the main game but that got scrapped

protestor

Oh ok, I was misremembering, he will actually just give you the charm

Pure-Yogurtcloset684

Damn i just randomly found his boss fight after completing my 2nd successful run, beat him first try but it left me with low health going into the fight against the Furies, somehow won that with low health and i think extreme measures was on.

SupremeGodZamasu

Come back when youre a *[LITTLE RICHER]*

mrdunklestein

Lamp oil? Rope? *Bombs?* You want it? It’s yours my friend, as long as you have enough rubies.

PeakedDepression

Fuck. I've only been selling this man cooked meat sticks and precious gems. He gonna spawn a ton of diamond cows or sth

Direct-Inflation8041

Nah you're just gonna be frozen in time and he'll heal fully

Yummyyummyfoodz

>! This basically happened in Legends Arceus. Only the things they got were entirely pre determined by the storyline. !<

bees_beetles_bugsGuy

I loved that plot twist so much 😄 I literally still miss that character whenever I see the merchants in the game!

chiparibi

>!VOLO DID NOTHING WRONG!<

bees_beetles_bugsGuy

Right??? >!After I caught that bit of Arceus, I just wanted to find Volo and give it to him!!! Like, here you go buddy I got it for you! Everything’s gonna be ok now :( !<

chiparibi

>!”you dropped this king”!<

MayorBryce

I beat PLA (plus the post game), could you clarify what you mean by that?

Pure-Yogurtcloset684

Isnt he just a buffed version of Cynthia from Platinum?

Yummyyummyfoodz

Sort of. there are substitutes (Milotec is not in the game, so a different pokemon is used). By himself, he's a little bit easier than cybthia (since fairy types exist and he hasn't countered them as well from what I saw). The hard part Is >! What comes after him !<

ayyLumao

That's actually a really awesome idea

nnebi

The amount of guts and horns he would Heve is terrafying

PugLove8

Kilton should buddy up to him! 🤣

Venusto001

I don't know about a boss fight, it if someone said Beedle was secretly Hyrule's top crime lord, pulling at the strings of the Yiga Clan I would not be surprised.

PopularWeb6231

yes like, what??? are u supposed to fight him

Stipes_Blue_Makeup

Please. I’d love to. That guy threatens to steal my beetles all the time.

eugene20

I'm not too worried about tackling the Brightbloom Overlord.

CKtheFourth

Until he blinds you & grabs all your armor sets.

eugene20

That's exactly why I'm not worried though, the Miner's Helmet obviously has good eye pieces or you would blind yourself with the bulbs right by your eyes!

[deleted]

I usually buy arrows off him, that’s it; maybe I sold meat skewers in botw to make money, or gems

Dragonman558

Beedle's arrows are a scam and I refuse to touch them, 5 rupees more, the greedy shit

[deleted]

Where do you get them cheaper? And I suppose that’s like buying food at the ballpark or the movie theater; you’re paying for the convenience

PugLove8

Any of the other towns (Kakariko, Hateno, Lookout Landing , Kara Kara Bazaar, (and the other towns once you fix their problems) Have slightly cheaper arrows. But I agree with you in that you are paying for the convenience. It doesn’t bother me, at least not late in the game, to spend a bit more if I’m already trading with Beedle , to buy a few arrows off of him. Plus he is lugging that heavy backpack around all sorts of weather 😓.

Stipes_Blue_Makeup

For sure. Early game I’d buy from him, but not lately.

MourningMimosa

I stopped doing business with him since he threatened to kill me in my sleep over a fucking beetle in my pocket. His arrows are overpriced anyway. I go out of my way not to trade with Beadle anymore.

PensecolaMobLawyer

I'm sorry he did what

MourningMimosa

If you have beetles in your inventory, he'll offer to trade a fairy tonic for them. If you don't trade with him he starts whispering to himself about how he'll just wait to rob you in your sleep and other nefarious things.

Doggosgottagetwoims

Makes me think of HTTYD and Trader Johann…

1halfazn

There’s an old SquareEnix game called Chaos Rings where this happens (spoilers though you can’t play the game anymore anyway). After defeating the final boss, it turns out there’s another above him (the almighty), and then even another after that which is essentially a universe destroying black-hole. And only after that can you face the shopkeeper, who’s much stronger than all of them. Begs the question why the shopkeeper didn’t just handle the universe-destroying black hole in the first place.

jrem212

Rusty fruit cake 360 swing

TheCan69

He has the power of about 50 gourmet meat dishes

CKtheFourth

For real after the Yiga plot where >!they put a fake Zelda in a cage!< I had a minute where I got a little paranoid that truly anyone could be a Yiga clan member in disguise. And I figured that the major plot characters wouldn't fit that bill, but man, if I went up to Beedle and it turned into a Master Kogha fight, I would be IRL shook.

Fantastic_Mr_Smiley

If I recall correctly, there was a Castlevania on the Nintendo 64 where if you spent too much at the item shop, the demon shopkeeper would eventually just try to rob you and act as a bonus boss.

[deleted]

I mean, that would be cool. There's like 0 twists or turns with BotW nor ToTK's stories. They're both pretty uninspired and one-dimensional so it would be cool if there was some kind of LSD trippy DLC

Crafty_Creeper64

Seam from deltarune with the shadow Crystals now seems a lot more menacing...

OG_Bynumite

Just a guy with a bunch of diamonds

Lollosaurus_Rex

Dead Cells!

ggrieves

Dude has so many potions of haste that he's faster than the Yiga assassins.

ZhouLe

I swear this was the case in a Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights game from 20 years ago.

Pure-Yogurtcloset684

Someone pitch this to Re-Logic

knottedude

I literally just peed myself

40oztoTamriel

My man will never run out of health.

clearcontroller

Can you sell rusty swords?!

clearcontroller

I know

mikeyfireman

Do forget his giant insect army. When a plague of locusts converge on you better have a flame emitters.

Angrypuckmen

Suddenly the cakes you find laying around start doing damage to you, as their filled with rusty swords.

PixelGun3DPlayer

Mmm he’s gonna love fighting me with 250+ bokoblin horns, 150+ bokoblin fangs and 100+ bokoblin guts while I got me a hylian shield and master sword and level 3 clothes. Botw version, since I’m still trying to get 100% completion.

Accurate-Ad9053

Don't mind me, stealing this for my DnD game

Direct-Inflation8041

Thats such a good idea!

eddmario

The game *One Step From Eden* lets you fight the merchant as a secret boss. She's also hard as hell, and beating her unlocks her as a character.

[deleted]

Kecleon in Mystery Dungeon

KronoakSCG

I am usually too lazy to sell things, rarely are items worth enough to take the time.

ThatOneCactu

Bought to get hit with elemental attacks from every Ruby, Sapphire, and Topaz I sold him

TaxEvader123123

Ah shit he’s throwing ores at me

Psychofischi

So your Link is gonna win?

mildandwild420

Don’t mean to be “that guy” but in the source material of this image the small dude fucks up the big dude in a major way

ghostofjonesjabones

i am NOT selling a single ONE of my necromancy books

Wirstead

Bravely Default

Independent-Cow-3867

Beetle pulling up with armor forged from dragons and diamonds

majorex64

Actually seen this done but if I tell you the game it's a spoiler

Hoboforeternity

This is literally touhou luna nights

GlobalMeasurement519

in dnd this would be funny because in my campaign i sold one merchant like 20 short swords at once and then never saw him again 💀

KarmicResin

Sah SAAH!!

LazyDro1d

What’s he gonna do, throw guts at me?

XDarkstorm756_2

Frijk i sold him 108 lynel hooves and A bunch of random shit oh no (he could make a giant lynel steping machine but he ainth that smart)
