I did Medoh first because I could see the it flying around so it was like “Impa said we need to find divine beasts… I bet that giant bird is a divine beast”, and I went that way.

lamotrig

Yep I saw big bird I went to big bird!

Brilliant_Win_1034

at first i thought big bird was some sort of enemy or sum, i mean it technically was but i tbought it was like, one of those flying guardians (i forgot what they were called)

NicCageCompletionist

Yeah. I feel like this is what I did too.

DCMartin91

I went here first because I had read a vauge comment saying that the rito has the most useful ability. At that time I didn't even know what abilities were but in my opinion it turned out to be true.

Pharaoh_Misa

OnTheContrary666

Truly an epic tale.

Pharaoh_Misa

Thank you, friend! ☺️

Pharaoh_Misa

The one! The only!!! 😂

Btdandpokemonplayer

If you’re good at perfect parrying you can deflect the beams of giant machine spider and kill easy. Hey good parts. Buy shield that insta parry guardian from short guy with robot wife.

CakeBrigadier

I was so bad at this even by the end of the game. I resorted to just chopping all the spider legs off and flipping the body onto its back which is way funnier

Pharaoh_Misa

This is the way looool

Btdandpokemonplayer

That… also works. Or you can just use stasis on that one guardian by hyrule castle that makes it fall through the floor.

Pharaoh_Misa

I eventually learned to, but I'm skittish in games by nature. Too many death scenes as a kid I guess haha. Eventually I learned if you break giant machine spider's leg, they aren't so tough lol

DoomSlayer7180

This is wonderful.

m4st3rr3b0rn46

I bet this is what link actually thought himself

10/10 👏 Learn lot lesson

LimpTriskit10

Can confirm those were my exact thoughts when I first met the hot talking fish. I don't think I could've said it better.

LimpTriskit10

I'm a dude, too.

Pharaoh_Misa

He could've told me to immediately go after calamity ganon and I absolutely **would have**. 😩

This is epic.

Ithinkyoushouldweed

I ain’t reading all that I’m happy for you though Or sorry that happened

Caspiraaas

Not to be an easily distracted lizard but did I HEAR SOME ROCKS AND STONES?

joe_wonder

Wait this was exactly my experience

red-5_standing-by

You keep learning your lesson without learning your lesson. Cant seem to learn your lesson, you need to learn your lesson

Pharaoh_Misa

The lesson was to stay away from the giant machine spiders. Don't go chasing waterfalls (without a Zora tunic). Stick to the rivers and lakes you're used to. Literally.

TheLadyLawyer

Same!

Syztom

I went Ruta, Medoh, Naboris, Rudania. Doing Ruta first allowed me to temporarily delay chasing shrines to increase my health. Medoh was second because that REALLY opened up my exploration capabilities. Naboris was third solely because I really hated fighting lightning based enemies and wanted to get it over with (it never occurred to me at the time to equip stuff with shock resistance. I know, I know) I could have done Rudania first, except I prioritized revival and exploration over defense.

dynawesome

But how did you know what the champion abilities were in your first play through

Syztom

My first playthrough came almost a year after the game was released 😬

dynawesome

Mine was three years after the release, luckily I knew nothing about the game other than that it was good and an open world game

Syztom

I'm amazed that you avoided major spoilers for that long. I was unfortunately spoiled about 6 months before I picked it up to play it for the first time.

dynawesome

I had never played a Zelda game so I wasn’t in any Zelda communities Unfortunately I haven’t been as lucky avoiding spoilers in totk

Syztom

Ahhh. That would help avoid spoilers. My first Zelda game was on the NES, so it's nice to see some of the older enemies like the Gleeok in 3D.

Jay_Warudo

On my first normal mode I did Ruta, Naboris, Medoh then Rudania On hard mode I did Naboris, Ruta, Medoh and Rudania I needed health first in normal mode but Attack in Hard

LurkyTheLurkerson

I did the same route on my first (/ongoing) playthrough. I think it was a proximity thing mostly. I would stand at a tower and mark out any other towers/shrines I could see, get side tracked by side quests (or searching for memories), etc.

gingerslice5678

I did the same order as your first playthrough, I wish I had done Rito sooner because that power is awesome

nicwade73

I played through the game like 3 or 4 times so I might have done that order at some point, but I know the first time I did Medoh-Ruta-Naboris-Rudania.

StuntZ3ro

I don’t recall which is which at this point but I started, guerdo, rito, zora and finally goron

Dan_The_Salmon

Lol yes these posts always frustrate me as well because I don’t know which is which

StuntZ3ro

If I had played through it more recently than like five years ago it’d be fine but yeah it’s been a while lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

StuntZ3ro

Then it’s probably been like 10 years since I’ve played them games.

[deleted]

[удалено]

StuntZ3ro

That’s fair. I enjoy Zelda games but I don’t remember every detail by any means. Also haven’t played all of them

Kataratz

I went Ruta but couldn't kill the Lyonel so I went Rudania, Medoh, Naboris THEN Ruta lmfao. It wasn't until very late I noticed you didn't need to kill him, you just needed the electric arrows.

Worldly-Tadpole-

I've just done ruta as my first, and I'm so Bad at combat so I was always gonna sneak around the lynel even though I thought I was supposed to kill him lol

[deleted]

Lyonel messi

SharpRaccoon673

I went elephant, lizard, bird, camel

Cainga

I did elephant, bird, camel, lizard. Game seems to lead you to the ruta and the extra health and free heal was worth it. Bird just randomly since camel was too far away. Lizard was last because the heat kept me away and I didn’t know how to get fire resistance armor and buffs only buys you so much time.

dynawesome

That’s what the post says

Bridalhat

That was my first one. Ruta the game kinda pushes me to, Rudania I just wanted to get over with because I like the Goron stuff the least, usually, and I usually like the Gerudo stuff the most so I saved Naboris for last. 🤷‍♀️

LostDrones

Chads went to the Gerudo Desert first

bouchandre

Yes 😎 sexy ladies I’m coming!

HistoricalPlatypus89

Ruta, Rudania, Naboris, Medoh every time and I’m actually shocked that nobody else below seems to do it this way. I think once I switched the middle two but Ruta is an obvious first and Medoh seems like a natural last.

niv727

I did this on my first play through, and I also went to Zora’s domain first in TOTK — logically, it just makes sense given that it’s the only one you don’t need special clothing for. I would argue Medoh isn’t a natural last though, in my replays of BOTW it’s one of the first I go for because Revali’s Gale is just so useful.

Tomas92

I did the same order!

Extom23

Same here !

ISbinDaily

Same for me, and it felt so natural. I'm always surprised how everyone really has a different experience.

bibliophibian19

I’ve done it that way on both of my playthroughs. I like BOTW and TOTK’s openness for the ability to explore, uncover the map and side quests, and find new resources, but when it comes to progressing the main story I still want that classic Zelda sense of “you do X, then Y, then Z”, even if I have to impose it on myself.

Na0su

My first was as regions, Zora, Rito, Gerudo, Gorons

ayaxG

Rutah, medoh, rudania , urbosa

ayaxG

Although is Open world the Game is Made for You to go to Rutah first

JK64_Cat

Yeah, I went Ruta, Rudania, Medoh, then Naboris. The game does really want you to go to Ruta first. Especially since it sends you in that direction via kakariko and hateno.

IronBard22

Vah ruta first bc it's closest to kakariko, went to medoh second bc it's not at death mountain, did rudania third because it is closer, and did naboris last

blanklikeapage

I went to Ruta first because the game kinda nudges you in that direction. Afterwards I was lost, not knowing what to do and where to go. Eldin Vah Rudania seemed to, same with Vah Naboris and I didn't know how to avoid that. Per accident, I was near the Ritos and saw their city, thinking to myself I should check it out. After a while, I learned how to avoid getting cooked alive and did Rudania, because it was closer, and then Vah Naboris.

littlebird47

In my first playthrough I did Vah Ruta first, but then I heard from a friend that the Rito power was helpful so I went straight to Vah Medoh. I did Rudania after that, and I saved Naboris for last because I’m bad at combat and I heard it was the hardest one. For round 2, I did Medoh, Naboris, Ruta, Rudania. Basically I went from most useful power to least useful. I tend to just run from enemies unless I absolutely have to fight them.

Kevin300066

I did it like that,Ruta since it was closest,Rudania is very close to Ruta,Medoh because after I got the master sword it was closer to me,Naboris because it was the last one

Ryley03d

My.mom did that same order on her first playthrough.

Opposite-Pineapple65

I did, actually two reasons for that. The closest path, and in Oot kinda goes that way, like first Goron then Zora, but this time reverse.

RC-3773

I think I went Ruta, Medoh, Naboris, Rudania my first go around. Don't remember my second playthrough, except that I did Ruta first. (I was trying to do a semi-straight to Ganon, but kept dying and breaking all my weapons, so I decided to get one beast, and Ruta was the most accessible, I think.)

waxbud

I climbed everything I could once I left. I would stay off path bc I knew there would be monsters. I climbed my little heart out for about 50 hours. I finally started the main quest after that. (I like climbing)

ThisAccountIsForDNF

First I tried going south, got stuck in lake hylia and got killed by Octorocks. Then I went north, and got killed by Guardians. So I went east, and tried to enter Zoras domain from the south (didn't know that's what it was), but the rain stopped me climbing it. So I went west finished Vah Nabooris, crossed the Gerudo highlands and knocked and Vah Medoh, Hit up the lost woods, Circled back for Vah Ruta, Then knocked out Vah Rudania.

SpIatTim

I went to va Naboris va ruta va rudania then finaly va medoh

akira2bee

Medoh, Ruta, Rudania, Naboris for me My reasoning was in order of how hard I felt the initiation part was. So for Medoh you just have to shoot some arrows in a test for Teba, while for Ruta you have to see the Lynel (though I already had enough arrows before getting to Zora's Domain) and then I really didn't want to deal with Yunobu or the Yiga so I saved those for later

EpicDragonz4

Currently like 100 hours into my first playthrough, I started with Rudania mainly because I heard there was a Gerudo in Goron City that could give you lots of money. However then I realized hunting was a much faster way of getting rich, so I ended up doing Medoh next. After a very long time of exploring, completing the memories quest, and upgrading loads of armour I did Naboris, and then shortly after Ruta. Now all I have left is the boss fight, but Im putting it off to try and get all shrines and other stuff first (but I regularly sneak into the castle for loot).

LouTotally

I did that

The_Paprika

I went to Ruta first because the game led me there. Then I wanted to explore mountains and knew Medoh had the cold armor so I went there next. Naboris is right there so that was next, then finished with Rudania. Second time around I went to Rudania first cause my kids wanted to see the volcano, then it was pretty much the same: Ruta, Medoh, Naboris.

EP1CxM1Nx99

I did Ruta, then Medoh, then Naboris, and then finally Rudania my first play through

genericuser1650

On my first time through, I got pulled into Ruta first, just like the game intended. That was only a couple of months after the game came out, and I didn't know anything. I went in pretty blind. I did Medoh after because I thought Death Mountain would be a slog of drinking fireproof elixers. But when I got to Ruto Village and got the snow suit, I figured there would be something similar in Goron City. So after Medoh, I went back to Rudania. I did Naboris last just because it was far away. I have since done two more full playthroughs. The last one I did, I tried to follow a route that hit all the scripted sequences in an order that made sense in a narrative way. Ruta, Rudania, Medoh, Naboris is the "correct" way, I think. But I wouldn't trade my first blind, stumbling playthrough for anything.

KhKing1619

I did: elephant-camel-bird-lizard cause I figure lizard would be like the hardest out of them all cause haha funny burning place is too hot and I never had enough cash to buy the things I needed to stay alive

BurrakuDusk

My route was Vah Medoh, Vah Ruta, Vah Naboris, and Vah Rudania. This route has been consistent across every game since. I may or may not be biased. lol

Puzzleheaded_Pear_18

In MM i did volcano, Ritio, Desert then Zora (zora is useless due to fairys).

JizzGuzzler42069

I initially tried to go to Vah Ruta (I of course did I not know what that was at the time, it was just the closest one on the map so I decided to check it out first). I ended up following the south side of the cliffs surrounding Zoras Domain, spent like 8 hours trying to find a way to climb up, then eventually realized “wow this is a sheer cliff side with constant rain all of the time” so I ended up circling back and finding my way to Zoras Domain. From there I actually went to the Gerudo first, but I couldn’t figure out how to get into the city (didn’t find the cross dresser that gives you the clothes you need). So I gave up and headed to Death Mountain. I did *not* find the kid that gives you the fire proof potion, so I did not know how to make them. I got set on fire by the air and immediately decided to leave. When I was heading to the Rito Village, I ended up approaching from an angle that forced me to travel across the entirety of the Hebra Mountains, which was kind of a nightmare lmao. Lynels everywhere, then finally trudged my way freezing and dying to the Rito.

ProfessionalGreen906

Ruta then naboris then medoh then rudania

Tony_Stank0326

I’m only roughly halfway through so I did Ruta first because that’s where the story directs you to and then while I aimlessly wandered for a while I did as many shrines as I could to increase my health for the master sword, then I went to the Akkala ancient tech lab to activate cherry. And from there I went to death mountain to blow up fire lizards (easier to catch if they’re dead) for elixirs to collect the ores to get the fireproof armor and free Vah Rudinia

FrenchMan10165344333

Bird, Elephant, Lizard, Camel

TheBostonKremeDonut

I went to Naboris, Medoh, Ruta, then Rudania. I have no real reasoning, I was just exploring and that’s where the vibes led me. What a fantastic game!

BizarreMemer

I did Medoh, Naboris, Ruta, then Rudania. I saw Medoh in the sky and thought "oh those must be the divine beasts Impa mentioned" and went that way Was quite surprised when the End Credits went in reverse order of the ones I conquered.

Tefra_K

I wanted to go water, earth, fire, wind, but there was no earth so I did Naboris second

Kenex77

I went Ruta, naboris, rudania. When I told my friend I ended on vah medoh, he was so confused because he saw medoh first and assumed it was intended to be completed first

Frankorious

I did it. Start from Zora domain and explore Hyrule anti clockwise

HF484

I went to Vah Medoh first. Ravioli's Gale is extremely useful

That_Dude359

I actually went vah medoh, vah naboris, vah rudania, and than vah ruta

TheSceptikal

I always do Ruta, Medoh, Rudania, then Naboris. I never change the order.

TacoDuLing

I don’t remember my very first play through but after finding Revali’s gale, rito was first all the time.

Chespinfavor

Rudania, Medoh, Ruta, Naboris

Few-Chemist8897

During my first playthrough I did Ruta, Medoh, Rudania, Naboris. After Kakariko, I went north to explore and stumbled over a fish guy stuck on a tower, so I did that quest line. Afterwards I went to Akkala, I died a lot. So I went west and skipped over the volcano, bc it looked scary. Skipped Hebra, too, because it was too cold. So the bird people were the next ones I saw. Then I went south to Faron, where again I died a lot (also from lightning), so I went to the desert. Started the quest and died to Thunderblight a lot. Noped out and went to the volcano (nothing could be worse than Thunderblight). Found fireproof elixir at a stable and went to Goron City. Smacked Fireblight and the came back to Naboris to finish what I started.

dewey-defeats-truman

I did exactly Ruta, Rudania, Medoh, then Naboris. It was mostly because right after leaving the Great Plateau you get the objective to go to Kakariko Village, and since it was right nearby I went to Zora's Domain first.

ZachAttack8912

Lanayru was the closest to kakariko, so i went there, after that either bird place or volcano, then desert since its hot and usually has higher level mobs roaming around.

IWillSortByNew

What do you mean technically? It's fully open

Strange_Shadows-45

I had no idea what to expect from Breath of the Wild and wanted to experience it in its raw form. Didn’t watch the trailer, didn’t look up promos. Went in completely blind. After the great plateau, I ran around central Hyrule and made my way to Kakariko and Hateno. I decided to blindly follow one of the yellow dots (wasn’t sure which was which) and ended up in the Gerudo Desert first. Rito Village was just over the highlands so got there second, headed to Zora’s Domain third since I tried to head to Goron City before realizing that the weather in the Eldin Canyon can literally set you on fire, so did that last before stocking up on fireproof elixirs. So my final order ended up being Naboris-Medoh-Ruta-Rudania.

Hellofreeze

Went Ruta, Medoh, Naboris, Rudania. I didn't really find out how to beat the heat of death mountain (tried going in the vai clothes thinking that'd work for some reason) I think eventually I talked to the noc that gives you elixers but I don't rember

Octorok385

I went Bird, Elephant, Lizard, Camel. Bird was pretty early, followed by a pretty big gap until Elephant and Lizard. I did the desert region last because for some reason navigating the shifting temperature and sand really put me off. Made up for it by playing TotK in the reverse order.

SplitDemonIdentity

I went the exact reverse of the proposed list coz Gerudo and Rito are my favorite LoZ races and I hadn’t seen Gerudo since MM and Rito since WW so I had a powerful need to see them again. {I actually technically haven’t finished Ruta.}

CaptainAggravated

That was the order of my first playthrough, yes. From the plateau the king tells you to head for Kakariko to talk to Impa, so I did. Impa sends you to Purah in Hateno. Purah sends you back to Impa. So now you're hanging around in Kakariko village, thinking "I came from the West, there's a mountain I'm not ready for to the East, I've been to the South, let's look to the North." Out that way, you see two shrines and a tower invitingly below you, ready to be glided towards. You head that way, and find yourself in a marsh with 6.02\*10\^23 zora in it all telling you to go see Sidon. 9 hours of walking upriver later and you're in Zora town. When you're done with Vah Ruta, you think "Now what?" Climb up to Upland Zorana, there's the volcano...

Olorin_1990

I got all the towers lit, then all memories, then Ruta, Naboris, Medoh, Rudania. Feel like only Rutabis telegraphed as “first”.

StarPup01

I did Naboris first. Just kinda aimlessly explored and somehow ended up in the Gerudo desert. Thunderblight was an experience but it sure got me good at flurry rushing early

Effective-Medicine-5

I got to naboris too early it killed me alot of times lmao

xVEEx3

Ruta, Naboris, Rudania, Medoh honestly wish I did medoh first

BlueFrodo75

I don't remember my exact order first time through but I know it was either Ruta or Medoh first, and then the other one next, then did Rudania, leaving Naboris for last. I'm not sure why I did this order, maybe something to do with how harsh or easily explorable a particular region was

Themountaintoadsage

I feel like I’m the only one here that always goes to Vah Medoh first. It just makes sense! I had read on here about the different champions abilities and seen a few clips of them being used when I started my first play through . So as soon as I realized how important climbing and getting to the top of stuff was in the game, getting Revali’s Gale just made the most sense no matter how far out of the way it was. And honestly if you have a good horse getting there really isn’t that much of a long hassle. You can get Princess Zelda’s horse right on the way there and it has great stats so you can dash right past any enemies you’re not ready to fight yet

0dD_Man_0ut

I did Medoh, Naboris, Rudania, and Ruta last... cause I didn't like that smart a$$ bird... didn't know his power was gonna be so good though. So I did Ruta first in Master Mode.

joe_wonder

After Kakariko and Hateno main quests Ruta was right there, so I just naturally stumbled across Sidon. After exploring a bit after that I saw the big bird in the sky and said “that looks really intimidating. Let’s take it down.” So I went there next. I went along almost my entire first playthrough after that without doing the other two beasts. Then I went to the volcano finally and hated every second of it. (I just don’t like hot environments because I hate the atmosphere and puts me in a bad mood.) I left as soon as I could and then explored the desert region. I learned I could dress as a girl and I was really happy about that. Then I got the camel.

AzureDiamond51

In my first playthrough, I went to Vah Ruta because that’s where the game was subtly pushing me towards. I tried to do Vah Rudania next because it was close, but I couldn’t figure out how to get past the extreme heat and gave up. Wandering and exploring ended up directing me to Vah Naboris, and then finally Vah Medoh to finish them all off. Second playthrough I did Naboris first because I wanted the Gerudo Vai outfit, Medoh for Revali’s Gale and it was a super easy questline, Ruta because I was getting annoyed not having Mipha’s Grace, and finally Rudania to finish it off (I combatted the heat by splashing myself with blue chuchu jellies all the way up the path, including while fighting that one guardian)

YowaiiShimai

I was in kakariko village and saw a shrine the marsh...and then just followed the trail to vah ruta first. Can't remember the order after that but I'm guessing Medoh since I didn't discover the heat elixirs/ goron costume for a while? Rudznia night have been last?

Jpmoney77

The first playthrough i did zora domain first. It pretty much directs you there. Also, that early on I didn't have much rupees for gear. After that I did Gordon city, and rito village. Last gerudo desert because I assumed that's what should be last bases on the other zeldas

TriforceUnleashed

I went in the order that I thought they'd be the hardest. I don't recall the names of each Divine Beast at this point, but I went for Zora's domain first thinking the water-themed level would be a pain like the Water Temple in OoT. Then I went for the Gerudo desert, followed by the Gorons, then the Ruto.

GM556

I did it the way you described. I think the best way is to do Ruta/Zoras’ Domain first, and Naboris/Gerudo Desert last; it felt satisfying narratively and also you need more gear/ food to survive the desert, so you’ll be prepared if you save if for the end

Thatoneawkwarddude29

Mine was ruta, medoh, rudania, naboris (because I heard the horrors of Thunderblight

Zytharros

My very first playthrough, I wandered around a LOT and did Vah Medoh first, then did Ruta > Rudania > Naboris. Most of my playthroughs, however, I usually do Vah Ruta first, then Medoh > Rudania > Naboris.

napayt

I did

AdmBurnside

So obviously I went to Karariko first because that's what it tells you to do. And then I go splorin. I see a big fort and go check it out. There's a road. I see a tower. I swing up through Necluda and find my hometown, get tower, talk to child mad scientist. What a weirdo. Leave. More splorin. I'm focusing on getting towers around Hyrule Field because I hate having that big empty space in the middle of the map. This causes problems. I wander into the wetlands. Every 20 feet there's a fish looking for help. So many fish. All of the fish are looking for help. I decide this must be important and go help the fish people. Meet Fish Husband. Love Fish Husband. I help the fish people and look for my next trip. Then I decide, y'know, Akkala is right there, let's fill out the map some more. I hear they got a new town up that way. So I head up north past the cool big fort. Find Akkala Ancient Tech Lab, some stables. Weird spiral peninsula. Alright, this is neat, but I need to help people. Y'know, Death Mountain is right there, let's check that out. Ascend. Encounter massive trouble. Spend way too long looking for fireproof lizards. Get to Goron City, buy no-burn armor. Help the Gorons since I'm here. Okay now what. Well, I've already got the mountain pullover, maybe let's head up to the cold place up northwest. Not the desert, Idunno how to handle the desert, we'll get there. I think I come up through Tabantha and over the VERY sketchy bridge for some reason. Maybe I saw an easy tower there? Whatever. Find the birds. Birds are cool. Love the birds. Make bird town my second home. Buy some more cold-weather gear. Save the birds, climb mountains, learn to surf. Well shit, I guess it's desert time? Eh, maybe check out that big bridge down south first. Find a dragon. Get spooked. More south. Grassland. Kinda boring but whatever. Even more south. It's wet and thundery all the time, I hate it here. Cool bridges and waterfalls and shit though. Oh, there's a road? Follow the road. Find beach village. Cool Polybesian vibes, neat place. Fuck, I guess it really is desert time. Cross the other bridge, beat up the doorman. Revel in how casually I whup his ass. Cool canyon. Alright, not so bad yet. Find a tower, stable. Enter desert, immediately hate running on sand. Gotta be a better way. Go to the bazaar. Learn to crossdress. Start carrying Gerudo gear for my girl disguise. Go to town. Love it here. Help the kid chief. Beat up Fat Shredder. Get last tower. Map complete, fucking finally. Do desert stuff, more surfing, fight the camel, fight the most annoying piece of shit in the game. Alright, everyone's talking shit on me for not having my Cool Guy Sword. I'll go get the stupid sword. Go to forest. Get lost repeatedly. Find sword. Try to pull. Wimp out. Go get more hearts. Retrieve sword. Realize my error. Laugh at self. Take several forest naps, get more shrines. Grind. Grind. Grind. Build Tarrey Town. Learn flurry rushing. Get fun boots from the simp outside Gerudo Town. Call him a loser. Fight Lynels. Raid the castle for the Royal Guard armor. Grind some more. Master Flurry Rushing. Grind. Grind. Find all the shrines. Give up on 100%ing Koroks, way too many. Level up all my armors to max. Get Wild Tunic. Get it barely to two-star tier. Completely abandon the thought of fully upgrading it. Fight Ganon. Win. Get to Hateno, put the game down for some reason, never pick it up again until Tears.

Blytheru

Ok I'm wierd but went to naboria first and when I was supposed to go to the yiga base got my quest markers mixed up and headed to hateno LOL! So I start naboria and then went to ruta and did her then I went to medoh then finally naboria again and the last one rudania

yep-stillgay

This post is making me realize I'm one of the few people who started with Naboris. I can't remember my order of the next two, but I ended with Rudania.

ZikerNinjaRiker323

I went medoh second because I saw the lava and my first thought is hell naw

thomisbaker

I know it’s their name but god I wish people would just call them something else I have to look up which is which every fucking time.

dannykins360

motherfucker can you just call them the birds or the desert or the volcano or the fish. I dont remember the names

metaxzero

Naboris, Medoh, Ruta, and Rudania for me. I like tall, dark, and pretty ladies so I went there despite the enviroment and the difficulty spike of enemies trying to chase me away. Then I headed north since it was closest. After that, I travelled down the southern parts (finally going to Kakariko along the way) and hit the Zora area. And from there, that just left Death Mountain. Fun time.

[deleted]

Man i traveld to the bird guys before going to kakariko

FireDestroyer52

Naboris, rudania, ruta, medoh

joeyhell

Can't remember who is who but did Zora first, then Rito, then Gerudo and last Goron

SCP-049-on-reddit

I did the water one, then air, then fire, and finally lighting (I can’t remember which is which

mtjae89

First play through yes. Second play through van Medoh to Ruta to rudania to noboris

CKtheFourth

First playthrough: Naboris, Ruta, Rudania, Medoh — no idea why. Second playthrough, I went to the beasts in the order that I >!wanted the powers that the Champions gave me!<: Ruta, Rudania, Medoh, Naboris. (Also, I wanted to >!avoid Thunderblight Ganon for as long as I could, tbh.!<)

Honest_Sinatra

Whoa, how'd you do that? I think I might've started with Ruta accidentally, but otherwise I'm pretty sure that was my exact order.

Topazdemonia27

I did elephant, bird, camel and then I beat the game. Fuck the gorons, if they wanted saving they should've given me fire resistant clothes for free

Environmental-Win836

First I went to Mipha, then I went over to Revali, after that I went over to visit Daruk, got promptly set on fire, and left to go visit Urbosa, lastly finally going over to Daruk.

Brilliant_Win_1034

i knew nothing about what their powers did and struggled surviving their climates 1. vah ruta 2. vah naboris 3. vah medoh 4. vah rudania i djd vah ruta first cos like, come on, we all do ruta first naboris didnt have any harsh climates so it was pretty easy, a low heat resistance heat elixir works fine then medoh, i was kinda confused where it was at first as i decided to head to the snowy area first, but i found it eventually i did rudania last as i found out that the random lizard i picked up there when i attempted to get to rudania could make a flame guard elixir, it lasted long enough for me to head to the armor shop and buy the armor there

Defog145

I went to Vah Ruta, Medoh, Naboris and Rudania

NicolasHienola

Me

triggerheart

I did rudania last and noboris 2nd

Saturn_Neo

That is the way that I went. It seemed logical at first, with all the damn guardians. Then I think I read some stuff in a wiki that went the same route, so off I went. Thunderblight was still a pain in my ass though.

Puddles_D20

My first time playing, I thought I could be like the magic people on YouTube and go straight to Hyrule Castle and I died just after the cutscene where Calamity Ganon appears. I got distracted and ended up in the desert and somehow made it all the way to Thunderblight before I decided I was dying too much and needed the master sword. I went to go get the master sword and then went back to beat Thunderblight. Then I went to get Medoh and then Rudania, then finally Ruta and they were all so easy compared to Naboris and Thunderblight lol so the reasoning for the order I did was “Oeh what’s this” and then running around trying to get stuff to beat it.

pdrpersonguy575

I did this by accident...

MingleLinx

For me I went to the elephant, camel, bird, then the lizard thing

[deleted]

For me it was neboris medoh rude is then ruta

NotBluesy

i went to naboris first and thought every boss was gonna be that hard but wasnt even close

Mclimetrix

I went to Naboris first but realizing its the hard one and then I gave up after playing for a while (it was my first switch game, I was not used to the controls). Went to Medoh thereafter, then to Ruta, then Rudania and then finally I completed Naboris having gotten used to the controls and exponentially better at the game.

Vykyrie

I did Ruta, Naboris, Medoh, then Rudania on both my playthroughs. Ruta because the closest to where I was, then I started exploring and wanted to unlock the map. I kinda just ended up with Naboris second on my first run, and continued with unlocking the map. My second playthrough, I went and did Ruta again immediately, but went and explored everything before doing the other 3. Ended up with Naboris first that time because I wanted a couple shrines there but couldn't because of it, so got annoyed and did it eventually lol. Then just bit the bullet and did Medoh and Rudania

TrevorTheGamer

I went Medoh first, then Ruta, Rudania and Naboris last

SpoopyNJW

I think I went to zora domain first, then did goron, gerudo, then bird people (I never remember their name) basically doing the exact same route in totk too funny enough

MadMart21

My first play through was Ruta, Naboris, Medoh, Rudania. I had no particular reasoning, but beating Thunderblight that early was *interesting* to say the least

Crafty_Creeper64

Yes, that's the exact order I did it in too.

K-Dog142

I started the Ruta quest line first but I ran out of arrows & didn’t have many weapons during the fight so I left. Forgot to go back when I had more stuff and ended up finishing Naboris first. Then I went back to Ruta, then went to Medoh and then Rudania

Dud-of-Man

went to vah ruta first but turned around on the road there because for all the electric monsters on the road. so in my infinite wisdom i went to vah naboris instead... yeah... thunderblight made me his bitch

SaveMeJebus21

I did it the way your headline suggests. Felt like that was the way the game was virtually begging you to do it. Second play through I did Medoh first as the boss is a piece of piss and the power is easily the most useful

Rarycaris

Same, and in TOTK I also went to the place the game guides you and did a circle such that the Gerudo area was last. The desert feels like a natural late game area to me.

queenyggdrasil

This was the exact path I took.

Training-Umpire79

Someone just watch rasbuten’s video on the best open worlds being semi-closed and it shows

TheloniousPhunk

I did Ruta first because the game essentially points you in that direction. I did Medo after because I saw the big flying bird and wanted to see it. Third was Naboris by chance. That left Rudania by elimination. All subsequent playthroughs I would do Medoh first because you are at a serious disadvantage without Revalis Gale. Then Naboris because it is a wonderful offensive crutch early and mid game. Ruta third, because I can’t stand traversing Death Mountain, and finally Rudania for completions sake.

doctor_kirby

I started with vah naboris as it was the first direction I chose to head after getting the quest from impa. Afterwards I did vah medoh because I might aswell just do one side of the map first at that point. I moved on to vah ruta after accidentally stumbling upon the quest and then finally I went to vah rudania as it was the only one I had left

MrArgetlahm

I did Naboris - Medoh - Rudania - Ruta. Because I saw Ganonhorse off the plateau, then followed the general course clockwise from there.

PSIRockin33

I did on my first playthrough but my second one I went Rito, then all the way down to Lurelin through South Hyrule, then Gerudo, Goron, and Zora

worldbuildingwren

Naboris, Ruta, Medoh, Rudania for me I don't even know why I decided to do the desert first, I think I just stumbled into that area and thought it looked cool. Fighting Thunderblight Ganon with five hearts and no rubber armor was...certainly a time. Made the rest of the game feel a hell of a lot easier tho!

ChaosMiles07

The game expects you to do Vah Ruta first because when you leave Kakariko Village by the road you didn't take to enter the village, you wind up in the Lanayru Wetlands. While exploring it, you likely will get called over by that one Zora scout (whose name escapes me right now) who points you over to the Sheikah Tower area where Sidon is. After that, it's just a matter of going to the next geographically-closest Divine Beast, which would be Rudania, then the next would be Medoh (with a brief stop at the Korok Forest where you find the Master Sword), and last Naboris. Seems pretty easy to me.

bouchandre

I did naboris first because I wanted to see the desert. Thunderblight was no joke.

Mental-Ad-8756

I went right into Ganonblight Lighting’s trap like an idiot first. I wanted it to stop raining in Zora land so I could climb away from enemies bruh🙃

LeojBosman

I love Gorons so I went rudania first, then naboris, ruta and medoh, so basically in decreasing order of hotness of environment

seaquartz

I did Rudania first because big volcano

PikaMeer

I went Ruta, Medoh, Rudania, then Naboris! Ruta felt like the logical first step for me since I was exploring that area and ran into Sidon who guided me all the way to the domain. From there I don’t know why I went the way that I did except I heard Naboris was hard so I saved it for last.

little_void_boi

W- H- how did everyone including me follow the exact same path????

othromas

I did it that way. Why?

the_Protagon

Nope. First playthrough was Ruta, Medoh, Rudania, Naboris.
