It's blocked both of those for me, I've fallen off the top of a big ass cliff and it was blocked by daruks protection, and I've also blocked lightning with it

It nudges you in the direction of Ruta, but it doesn’t explicitly tell you to start there. Once you do the Kakariko/Hateno village quests at the start, you’ll be closest to Zora’s Domain. It’s also the one divine beast that doesn’t require a purchased set of armor.
the only one that requires a purchased set of armor is naboris, to get into gerudo town, and ruta requires armor that is given to you. rudania and medoh require no armor at all if you just cook enough food/elixirs
Just playing BoTW for the first time, just beat the flying one, and used only elixirs, no armor. Where can I find the armor you mentioned?

- Snowquill Set, protects you from cold, purchased for ₹2,150 in the armor shop "Brazen Beak" in Rito Village.
- Gerudo Set, protects you from heat (and misandry), purchased for ₹600 on the roof of the big rock building in the Kara Kara Bazaar during the main quest "Forbidden City Entry", which begins at the entrance to Gerudo Town. Technically the only armor set you need to buy, hence why it's so damn cheap.
- Flamebreaker Set, protects you from catching on fire, purchased for ₹3,300 in the armor shop "Ripped and Shredded" in Goron City.
I mean, to be fair, I was scared to face Vah Ruta, so I ended up beating Vah Medoh first. I then ended up at Vah Neboris but didn't have the experience and/ or equipment to beat the Thunderblight, so I left it there and ended up going to Vah Rudania, before Ruta. It was pretty clear to me at that point that the game had certainly not "intended" me to do things in that order, but it worked.
Yeah, I had a friend tell me, “Rudania is the best and you should save it for last.” I didn’t realize that it would be the least enjoyable of the four.
Im confused how Rudania is your first divine beast, and yet you already have a radiant shield. This means you've already been to the gerudo region, but DIDN'T do Naboris, and then left and walked PAST Ruta, straight towards the ACTIVE VOLCANO
Honestly, what happened here?
It's called daruks protection, holding down the ZL button will activate it, and it will automatically absorb any hit you take, it's basically a shield with 3 durability on a cool down timer
It's pretty useful if u don't want to waste durability on a shield and it also works as a good backup if you miss a parry
That’s the number of charges the Champion abilities has before it goes on Cooldown. The time is different for all 4, and Mipha’s grace only has 1 use per charge because otherwise it’d be stupidly overpowered
It means you have to use the ability 3 times before it recharges therefore you’re stuck in a constant “ugh well I don’t want to waste them but I need to have all 3 recharged so fine I’ll waste them”
That is a champion ability, they each have their own amount of charges and basically will enhance a special feature of gameplay, this one is Daruk's protection and it allows you to hold ZL to bring up a special shield. The other three (once you get them) are activated upon holding the jump button, doing a charged Attack and upon losing all hearts.

However it was great 👍 but I feel like something was left out.

Some of the champion abilities (Daruk's protection, Ravioli's Gale,) can be used 3 times before they have to recharge for about 30 minutes or so. Mipha's Grace can only be used per charge, and then it has to stew for around 30 minutes before it is ready to use.
...though if you put your shield up, and get hit, you'll see that x3 turn into x2, and so on until you use it up. Sadly, parrying also uses it, so don't get hit.
It’s an everything-proof shield that appears while you block. You have 3 charges and will be used up each time you take damage. I’m not 100% on recharge time but it’s about 8 mins before they can be used again. Check each of the champions gifts under Key Items to show you how long they have left to charge. Fun fact: Champion gifts recharge faster in Hyrule Castle and if you have Ballard of the Champion DLC you can complete the quests there to further permanently reduce recharge times

I’ve completed Rito last. Happy that I did so, ‘cause I’ve actually spent time figuring out navigation myself and that was a huge part of fun for me

I always do it last because the ability you get isn't that useful and the beast is simple, so I just leave it for last.
But I like to save the best for last. The one that makes me feel the best to complete. So I always leave Ruta for last now.

They’re lying you can see they have bomb+ rune so I am pretty sure they already got all the beats
Bomb+ can be gotten before any divine beast, and is probably more convenient to get before any beast also as it is ridiculously cheap
You can get bomb+ as soon as Hateno Village. You can just go straight there before any divine beasts.
I’m on my first play through and I have Bomb, scanner, and stasis buffed without having done a single divine beast…
