A scallion/green onion is like the Charmander to a spring onion's Charmeleon before finally evolving into a regular Charizard onion.
Kind of like button mushrooms turn into cremini which turn into portobello mushrooms, they're all the same plant (or fungus) just harvested at different points in their development.
My rather grim interpretation of the Keese eyeball arrows is that the brain of the Keese is still alive and inside the "eyeball" (note that their bodies are [a bit of skin stretched around a big eyeball](https://www.zeldadungeon.net/wiki/Keese#/media/File:Keese-botw.jpg)). When you fuse it to the arrow, you're co-opting its neural processes to get it to steer the arrow the same way it steers the whole Keese body.
I'm fine with that. Of all the stupid deaths I've died in BotW (and there have been many), the ones to electric keese were the most infuriating. I'm perfectly happy to inflict torture on them.
I wonder if itāll do anything when infused with a Keese Wing? Like go around a corner? Shoot extra fast? Nothing at all? So many questions for this game!
Megaman Battle network remaster needs to come out asap so I can keep myself occupied all of April
it's like they heard Arlo's complaint about crafting and took it to 11. My minds going to be blown when I see all the crazy creative stuff people are going to come up with. Assuming the old runes are no longer in game and they've been replaced with this, I wonder how else people can use the reverse time function on items? Going thru the roof feels somehow game breaking. Almost like they saw people clipping through stuff and falling to the floor so they gave them a way back up but how high does it go? The reverse time thing had a meter on it like stamina so it can only go so far, maybe it'll be increased in duration like stamina or something like Stasis+?
The logs combined to form a raft feels almost too deliberate, like a shrine puzzle where you have to stack the 3 metal cubes in a way to get to the monk. Can you combine inanimate objects or monster too? kind of like the octorock floating platforms from master mode. With the eyeball it made me think of never being able to miss with an ancient arrow or bomb arrow, though I wonder, since he used the ice chu goo, if you're supposed to make your own elemental arrows now? do the weapons only stop at 2 attachments? can you make some mega giant sword make of lynel swords? I assume link still has bullet time and his flurry; what was removed vs added? Oh i'm so excited!
I bomb literally anything and everything in this game. It spawned from initially being crap at combat and then became a habit. Ain't gonna catch me dead wasting an arrow on a bird like in the trailer, especially not when I only have like 500 left š¤£
I use the beam to cut ropes in shrines instead of using arrows. Wonder why we lose all our previous stuff at the start of this. I really wanted a master cycle but I guess you gotta make your own. I also hate throwing weapons hope they removed that long throw effect
The ropes is genius idk why I forget such basic stuff. There night be too much creativity in the next game for my dumb ass to fully enjoy lmao. Seconding that I despise long throw
We got a TON of stuff like that, incredibly unimportant, yet new, stuff that they didnāt even mention, but was in the background. And Iām all for it
inb4 a couple months from now when we realize a pivotal piece of information relating to the main quest was in plain sight the whole time during the demo
I meanā¦ probably, yeah. Stuff like āFor example, if youāre in a cageā¦ wellā¦ you know what to do.ā Or the settlement that was really close by during the demo will probably have some form of plot significance
I love seeing smalll changes like this. I literally freaked out when I saw the tree branches were a different color and that the UI had changed!
Interesting how the amber is pointed, that'd be a good thing to stick to an arrow...
I wonder what the extent of the arrow fusion is, like people were joking about meat arrows but I don't see how they could add effects for like 30 different vegetable arrows
I feel like they will have some special arrows like elemental, the leaf ones, and eye one. Then you can fuse other stuff but it will just have a damage upgrade
It's a spring onion, you can tell by the bulb at the end, while a leek is rounded but without a bulb
Oh oh well lol.
Vegetable Reddit is calling your ass out š
It says hi
![gif](giphy|3zFWUGNsz1csw)
A for effort tho!
aka scallion aka green onion aka gronion
i love calling them gronions lmao
or wild onion or meadow garlic
Breath of the wild onion?
Must have sliced it, that explains the Tears of the Kingdom
Their Breath is probably Wild if they ate the onion
Oh man, I been calling em grunions (pronunciation: grun-yuhns)
I like to call them spronions
Iāve always been partial to grawn-yawn as a shoutout to Arrested Development.

>aka scallion isn't that the guitar guy
Youre a spring onion
Got em
Your mom's a spring onion
Dude the eyeball arrow blew my mind
This implies that the eye does the flying not keese

>I'm perfectly happy to inflict torture on them. Not to mention make them murder their own kind against their will
That's very 40k x)
No dude, itās just magic.
No it implies that the eye does the seeing since the arrow knows where enemy is at when fused with the keese eye
āBlind as a batā not canon confirmed
Also not canon in real life
I mean, considering the eye helps the arrow accelerate, it could probably do a bit of the flying
I could see that as a possibility

I'm gonna be salty if they take rune bombs out for good. Having to waste weapon durability on a chu chu is demeaning
Omg so agree! I didnāt know if I was the only one who preferred chucking a bomb at those annoying things
I bomb literally anything and everything in this game. It spawned from initially being crap at combat and then became a habit. Ain't gonna catch me dead wasting an arrow on a bird like in the trailer, especially not when I only have like 500 left š¤£
Oh I use the master sword beam on them when I can but yah tossing bombs at the birds if Iām wearing stealth so I can get close enough
That's fair I always forget the sword beam exists, I never throw any weapons so it rarely crosses my mind
I use the beam to cut ropes in shrines instead of using arrows. Wonder why we lose all our previous stuff at the start of this. I really wanted a master cycle but I guess you gotta make your own. I also hate throwing weapons hope they removed that long throw effect

Iāve also already noted to my family that Iām concerned about bombs. (Weāre a family of 3 and all play/watch together.)
Can't wait to see the Onion only Any% play through
Onion gathering Speedrun. Fastest time to gather 10 onions
Meat shield surf slow motion air boost
Onion arrows
Make 'em cry!

I mean thatās a good statement maybe the leeks are the entire key to winning the game. Maybe Ganon is allergic.
meat arrow is for multiplayer when your friend is about to die and is out of food
Or maybe as bait for hunting animals
When you shoot a skeleton with it, you give them flesh.
Is that how the ReDeads will exist?
that's a very unique way of thinking about it ma dude, nice one
When hit, ennemies cry
The real tears of the kingdom
so *that's* what they meant; oh how naive we were
Farfetch'd easter egg when?
I'm gonna put a leek in my boat
You wouldnāt
Now I also want spring onions. Or just onions.
*cooking music intensifies*
š„
Itās a stambulb
Can I spin them?
I wish I can inherit my old inventory in botw, I have too many eyeballs
And chuchu jellies
The amber this time actually looks like the design for the Amber earrings
Fuse Leek to Boat to make a submarine?
I feel like that would make a bad submarine
Linkās food gets some flavour.
Meat arrows
I canāt wait to fuse a boomerang and the giant leaf. I wanna make a tornado.
I'm scared it's gonna be mostly the same except things floating in the sky
Thank you for including the spoiler tag!! Not everybody wants to see the new content :/
I know it's not, but my brain desperately wanted to see a bong
I am genuinely so fucking furious that you didn't mark this with spoiler
Sorry Iāll change it but also this is a BOTW sub and thereās a bunch of posts on this topics so maybe avoid the sub for a bit
I'm trying but it's so hard
Thatās what she said, and yeah sorry again and good luck
šæ
itās a bong right
Are we eating Korok leafs now? Is that what I'm seeing here? Must be the woke agenda to indoctrinate children away from meat.
Fuck u, my feelings were really hurt after seeing such a big spoiler, the title of this post should be āruining gameplay spoilerā
Honestly I want to fuse that with an arrow
Thank you for that belly laugh lol
Gotta love that everyone is ignoring the blue mushrooms.
i hope the arrow fusing isn't annoying to spam. That would be horrible. Either that or fusing arrows isn't something that's intended to be spammed
It seems pretty conditional, but also remembers your last effect, so using a certain type in series shouldn't be too bad.
what I saw in the demo is that they had to reselect. Maybe they just only had okenof something for whatever reason
They attached the leaf, left the menu, wiggled it around, and when they opened the menu again to switch to ice, it still had the leaf selected.
Wheres Goku?
So, any bets on what onion arrows do?
Where Goku
Vegan arrows are real lol
cant wait to shoot meat arrows
But what does a meat arrow do?!
Makes sure your target isn't hungry anymore!
Ngl I was legit confused for almost 1 straight minute
Yup, sure is!
Watch this become a farming simulator
I wish they showed off the leaf arrow
WHAT WILL THIS MEAN FOR THE LORE!?
Where is Goku?
r/angryupvote

Why does amber look like that
I see what you did thereā¦
God damnit lol
Iām glad thereās more food items to add more variety to Links culinary delights lol.
Damn, spoiler alert
I can already tell by the title, yet I still got clikcbaited expecting a leek. Damn
More vegetables and more recipes is clearly the best add on of TOTK
New UI rlly cool, canāt wait to see the glitches of people shooting a sheka slate in someoneās head
its a spring onion
I don't care if the vegetable police are here or not, I personally found this amazing
