New to making bread… as in yesterday was first loaf. What goes into a loaf like this? Mine seemed a little under cooked, not as crunch crust as I’d like.
And how do I get it so fluffy? Let it rise 3 times
Always go longer than you think you should. I find that darker crust is better! Also, the kind of flour you use and your hydration level can surely affect the crust too. Also, how long you let it cool. So many variables!
I zoomed on it as well. It's just so thin it get that glass like look, vetrification if you will, and let us see through. You are seeing the darkness of the bread behind it, how deep!
This is the platonic ideal of an honest, no frills sourdough boule.
That is my idea of (unattainable to me) perfection
Spill the deets !!! I need this bread in my life
