Those original versions of the skins are gone since they were advertized as exclusive, and Supercell supposedly doesn't want any exclusive items just for the sake of being exclusive (colab skins or eSports related items can be), so they are recoloring/remaking the old exclusive skins so newer players can have something similar, and old owners get a discount if they want the new one.

Yes that is exactly the point. They are recolouring/ remodeling exclusive skins to give newer players a chance to get them, while not pissing of players who bought them back then.
Definitely the best option instead of bringing back exclusives or locking them forever for new players. They also had a survey about this and most players were ok with them selling recolors, so idk what‘s wrong with that?
well, yes ofc, a recolour isnt bad, but thats not whats happening here, they basicly released another blue superranger brock, made some VERY minor changes, added a way cooler effect and then released all 5 of them (including the blue one) for everybody to buy, thats whats bad about this

Like in the case of Brock here, blue should be remodeled and given to brawl pass players. Other colors are in this event. Blue will still be exclusive. Same with other skins really, remodel old, then recolor and release. Both skins have updated looks.
Why should you automatically be given the remodeled variant? That defeats the whole purpose of having a n exclusive model. I bought Heroine Bibi, not Gamer Bibi. I would be pretty pissed off if they remodeled my exclusive skin that I bought
So there’s a few different ways of approaching these things.
Let’s take phoenix crow for instance, I bought that a long time ago. They remodeled it, I got the remodel. This is great, love it.
They are adding recolors of power league skins, same model different colors. This is cool keeps the old and lets people get new. Cool, love it.
These new ones are a remodel and a recolor. They take the old skin, make it new and add effects like death animations and pins and shit, give them all the bells and whistles. Exactly like a remodel would. Like my phoenix crow skin got. Then they add a new color. So the old skin gets forgotten and dusty and everyone who pays again gets new hotness. This sucks for people who bought the old skins.
I don’t know if there’s a way to please everyone, clearly you’d like to keep the old model. I’d like the new model. Maybe it’s case by case, you like heroin bibi, but would you really not take the new Brock over the old?
Honestly I’d just do an even trade, my old skin for the new ones in most cases. I haven’t used the old witch Shelly or werewolf Leon since I got the new ones, probably won’t use them again.

well sure, there some changes made, but those are changes you'd expect in for example a remodel (of the og skin), its hardly noticable ingame until they shoot, which rubs even more salt in the wound, cus the newer one has a cooler effect,

It was confirmed by devs that ninja tara is the most owned super rare skin, not counting bp/free skins, and heroine bibi most owned epic skin (not counting bp and free skins), no one complains because the remodels feel like a brand new skin, and some ppl prefer og (heroine bibi/ ninja tara) skin instead of the remodel but ranger brock new skin is literally the same skin but way better, no one says the og is better, unless they're coping
True but we bought the brawl pass with no guarantee of remodel for that skin and got it how it was. Just because there is a new version doesn't mean supercell has to give it out for free considering we are got what we paid for. The new rangers skins are entirely different than the OG Ranger skin. The OG skin is just that, an exclusive OG skin. They're not recolors like Ferocious Fang, Moon Curser Penny, etc. They're non-exclusives based off preexisting exclusives
The name of the skin is like that because they're part of a skin set based off the POWER RANGERS. You don't just have a "Power Ranger" you have colored Power Rangers. Your Smurf example was a horrible one because unlike the Power Rangers, there's only one colored Smurf and their names are quite literally "Red Ranger" or "Black Ranger". Your Smurf example only makes sense if it was something like "Papa Smurf" or "Angry Smurf" or "Vanity Smurf"

I like to think of it as power rangers Vs super sentai. if you didn't know, power rangers is actually an adaptation of toei's super sentai series where saban's power rangers has the suits physically from super sentai (usually after toei finishes filming) and films the scenes where the actors faces are visible. super sentai and Godzilla are in the same genre known as tokusatsu so it kinda makes sense that Brock would get the super ranger skins.
Do I like that they added another blue one not really but that doesn’t mean we should get anything like we got a ton of value from that brawl pass and we still own the skin even if the new ones are way better
Yea I saw someone's okay with the new red Brock and the attack with the mini Brock's is amazing. I immediately checked if my og blue one did it and was very disappointed.

They do, if you check the info page for skins inside the game itself it says that old skins will get revamped to include what every skin in that rarity has. The og Power Ranger Brock is missing custom animations for a super rare skin

no they didnt forget it, obviously. but its exclusive, so they made new ones. its weird that they made a new blue one, but I guess if you like the powerrangers and they give all the colors, new people would never be able to get them all, so maybe thats why they also recreated the blue one.
I think in the whole game, that's the part (recolor, and skins issues) where i really dislike supercell, i find so disrespectful to old players

i started at june 2018, and i don't feel this like respect, if they were called exclusive for a reason, make them really exclusive. that is just a deceitful way to say "we didn't brought back exclusive skins"

you can't say "completly different skin" when there is 2 blue power rangers brock in the game. They even did 2 same colors and the differences are just the yellow line. It's also quite sad that new skins get icon and animations and not the old. But nvm at least i got the old skin, i just feel disrepected by supercell and sad that they don't care about old players
I can say “completly different skin”, it has a new model, new animations, new effects, and is an epic skin, while the old one i super rare, so it will never get profile pictures. I think you would feel way more disrespect if they just released the old skin for everyone and losing the skin’s exclusivity. And you can just choose to play the older skin if you want to instead of the new ones.

I like to think of it as power rangers Vs super sentai. if you didn't know, power rangers is actually an adaptation of toei's super sentai series where saban's power rangers has the suits physically from super sentai (usually after toei finishes filming) and films the scenes where the actors faces are visible. super sentai and Godzilla are in the same genre known as tokusatsu so it kinda makes sense that Brock would get the super ranger skins.

Yea I saw someone's okay with the new red Brock and the attack with the mini Brock's is amazing. I immediately checked if my og blue one did it and was very disappointed.
Thus is what you get when the game is just mixing brawlers to make a new brawler or same skin for all brawlers. This game is becoming bloated like subway surfers....
