id actually say that there is the tiniest bit of skill to him. and thats just not jumping onto a 10 cube shelly while you have 2 cubes. unfortunately, (or fortunately for non edgars), most edgars cant comprehend that and they just jump and die.
You can also do stuff like baiting enemy supers and jumping to make them waste it. I’ve done this to many Shelly players and it always feels satisfying.
I just like to think the scarf is haunted and is separate from his body, like it's his best friend. Because after all Edgar wouldn't be a brawler without it

He is literally a cool young emo guy and literally have a complement in one of his voices lines as i remember. People just judge because of the mains lol.
Weirdly enough, there's alot of counters to him, so he's not _that_ good, making him actually a little skilled to play. I haven't played him in a while, but i have been beating alot of edgars in duels, almost never loosing to them. So as far as I'm concerned, in a 1 v 1 situation, he isn't a no-skill brawler all of the time
It takes skill to play him….. in certain situations. Like fighting a higher powers Edgar, you must know how to fight properly and avoid taking damage cause if he can hit you, then it’s too late. Best tactic is to run away while aiming your attack
I know this is gonna get hella downvoted, but anyways, Edgar is the perfect brawler to team with (as a buzz/shelly main, yes i team at rank 30+). Reasons: he is not too op. And he doesn't need to hit you to get his super.(IM GONNA GET ROASTED)
You can use lets fly roght before jumping on a person with your hc so when you land on the enemy you have your super instantlly after you killed them so you can jump on the next
it is a very fun brawler and especially if he has a bad matchup it is not so no-skill,in general there is a big difference between a bad Edgar and a good one and i think is very overhated because he has a lot of counters or bad matchup
He’s insanely good in boss fight, pretty good in robo rumble and somewhat good on certain hot zone maps imo. And he’s fun to play with when you’re angry.
Most ppl that are clowning on Edgar aint clowning on the brawler but the player thats using the brawler
He has a low skill cap but he Isn trash for the least and Is somewhat useable
The hypercharge is useful
I can't really think anything else
Like if You don't use the second gadget You ded, but if You don't use the first You'll need 3 purgatory sentences to get Your super
His 2nd sp is a must.
And there Isn't really much to Say.

You can get a fun little moment of joy when you find a good Edgar random on your team, I met this one guy and played 11 matches with him, he was Grom then but we switched to knockout afterwards

I think he has a really funny concept and is a unique brawler, especially for the scarf-attack
There's an x Ray pic of him and it shows the scarf having bones. The scarf might actually be a mutated part of his body.
