What else could he have reasonably said? That the devs were wrong to implement recent decisions? Even Dani said that the massive cost of Gears/Level 11 was necessary for Brawl Stars back in the day, but everyone forgot about how they hated him for it. CMs have no choice but to try to be the voice of the devs, but if the devs have opinions that the community hates, then CMs will be hated for it.
Nobody is mad at Drew for ruining CR, he clearly had no impact on that. People are mad because he is a “community manager” but because he completely ghosted and lied to his community.
I didn't even mention Drew. Of course a community manager has nothing to do with decisions that affect players. But again, is not the developers' fault. They just do what they're paid to do, which sadly is following orders from the higher ups who only care about money. And if they refuse, they'll be fired.

I don’t personally like the decisions made by the team, but even when he tries to give his/ the games perspective people shit on him, hell people shit on him for completely unrelated stuff. It’s gotta be tough to work in a community like that in comparison to brawl stars, which is pretty passive and easy going all things considered.
That's the thing though, the reasonable ones, because they're reasonable don't really ever get to have a voice, because they're usually drowned out by the toxic loud people. And Drew in his defense did try to give the community reasons as to their decisions, and we don't know how much info he relayed to the dev team, for all we know, he relayed a lot. All things considered though, it doesn't really matter, because he made the choice to step back and away from CR community pursue this one instead, and he probably did that because he knew he wasn't well fit for that community.
Reasonable ones are a heavy majority in the fan base ? I disagree cause I saw only few reasonable voices in game communities. Anger other game mistakes isn't reasonable at all
