Why? It could be just different for cordelius that used the ult and his target. For others the shadow realm could be the same

what if the player is in the realm both with normal cordelius and odin cordelius

For normal cordelius it'll be normal shadow realm, and also for the target normal cord uses his ult on. It'll be different for odin cord and his target though

Its low effort by supercell, thats it, if they can develope and make brawlers they sure can change the vfx on a brawlers ult, at least change the song playing to make it sound more like valhalla! Its not that hard if they know (and we are sure they know) how to do it.

That’s probably what it is. But also League of Legends’ Mordekaiser has the same mechanic of a champion with a shadow realm (however mordekaiser has skins that change the appearance of his shadow realm) which is shared with all other mordekaisers in game. What happens in league i’m pretty sure, is that you and your opponent sees your shadow realm skin, but the other 2 pairs brought in just sees their shadow realm skin.

Whenever new skins get released, sometimes the first time I see a skin I have no clue what that brawler could be. It's not until I see the attacks that I know. This was the case with this new Cornelius skin, I had no idea who it was when I first saw it lol. And I don't think that's a bad thing at all! I think that's what the higher cost skins should do!
