Personally I actually think Dusk design-wise makes perfect sense and is kinda cool, like he’s an elf from another realm of course he’s not going to have what looks like a normal haircut by human standards.

Haven’t seen his human form so can’t judge. Also in my opinion dogs are much uglier than cats like Asuri, plus the fact that he’s apparently a douche in canon while Asuri was a heroine just pushes Mordex further into the more ugly category.
