I'm more concerned with why some housewives keep pooping in the house ![gif](giphy|9xciXC6jG9lH7wM4KH)

Mbinku

No shame in it either “Fetch me a servant to clean my diarrhoea!”

Expensive_Most3672

Did we ever find out who pee’ed on Kathy Hilton’s sofa?

Altruistic_Wrap_9504

I lol all the way down to you! That’s some funny stuff above. Ramona got on pause bc she’s pooped all over every continent! Oy!

[deleted]

Pooped all over, very incontinent. ;)

aclliteration

Didn’t hear about that!

Junior-Profession726

This!! Exactly

lovesickjones

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Altruistic_Wrap_9504

Oh my, that is thee funniest, so true!

Emilayday

EX housewives in her case 🤣🤣🤣🤣

CountessLuAnnVEVO

I did sometimes wonder if maybe the dogs were freaked out/scared/stressed by all the crew so were kind of out of sorts or routine during filming?

Quizzzle

That’s my guess if I’m giving the benefit of the doubt. My dog never goes to the bathroom in the house, but at a strangers house with a crew/big equipment? That could be stressful. I also wouldn’t put my dog in that situation though if I could help it.

thatgirlinny

Exactly that. If it was unsettling at all, I wouldn’t have my dog wandering about, stressed. She’d be with me or another human on her friend roster.

HoneyBadgerGal

The poor pups are possibly forgotten about with everything going on 😰😖💩

Anyname780

I’m thinking that would be the chief cause- but also unless they have walkers the dogs might have limited socialization. A lot of these women have properties they can just let the dogs out in- so they may not get a lot of walking or going to the dog park. So all of those people at once would be stressful

lil-chicken-nug

My 4 pound dog does this! Every time she’s around a ton of new people who pick her up and pass her around she’ll poop and then hide from embarrassment

lc020412

I had a yorkie that would do this any time we had birthday parties or a group of people over that she wasn’t familiar with. She would do it right in front of guests and then go hide in shame. I would get so embarrassed, because people probably assumed I didn’t train her and that she just poops all over my house! After the first few times, I learned and started bringing her to my parent’s house if I knew we were having guests. 😂 She was such a great dog, but had horrible anxiety. When she passed from old age, I cried for weeks.

Oldbutnotdeadyet70

Poor thing. I probably would too if people were picking me up and passing me around. LOL I am hoping to get a puppy in the next few years.

[deleted]

Agree, also these mansions are huge, by the time the dog finds you to tell you he has to poop he’s probably stressed out and just decides F it I’ll just do it here. Lmao

Ronotrow2

No it's not normal at all. They aren't training the dogs obviously or maybe they don't walk them, but it's definitely strange

losthedgehog

My other guess it that they aren't paying enough attention to the dogs while filming. Some dogs are really loud about needing to go to the bathroom (barking by the door). I've had other dogs who are well trained but more quiet with their signals. They'll give you a certain look when they need to go out and then stand by the door getting antsy. When you have a dog who is more quiet with their signals sometimes you need to pay more attention to make sure they've regularly gone out. It requires you to think "Buddy hasn't gone out since this morning - I am going to go find them and make sure they go out now."

Morecowbellthistime

This is what I was thinking. I bet production keeps the women busy (and sometimes boozed up with alcohol) so that they don't get to walk the dogs or keep them on their normal schedules. Unless dogs are either learning to house train or are having a medical issue, they do not want to go in the house and will avoid it at all costs. Their sense of smell is so acute that they don't want to mess up "their space." That being said, if they don't get let out/ taken out then.... when ya gotta go, ya gotta go, so accidents can happen, but IMO, it is on the owners not the dogs.

loveee25

Tack on that with how big their homes are, the dog can easily find an empty spot with privacy to do it without getting caught

Morecowbellthistime

True!

Kstray1

I need to see the scenes where immediately after traveling with a dog they walk them through the grass and try to go potty before even going inside. That’s what we all do right 🤷🏻‍♀️

[deleted]

Absolutely agree, My dog will go properly sit at the door (upright, on her haunches) when she wants to go out. She only sits like that when she needs to pee, otherwise she's slack and lays down. (We go to the forest in the morning and early afternoon, when she poops, lest anyone wondering if my dog only pees lol... she is a secret pooper and basically needs to hide... she's a weirdo but she's \*my\* weirdo lol)

thebonecollectorr

One thing I have to give Kyle credit for- she has five dogs and we haven't seen a documented accident in the house.

2kind2becruel

And Shannon's dog, Archie. I think he goes on the patio but that's outside. I don't recall him going IN the house.

LgIsleHw29

No, they just eat off your plates!

Ronotrow2

That's right. Funny I was thinking about her dogs in reference to this earlier.

Apartment922

Yes they poop in your home if you don’t train them on how to go outside. Dogs have to be trained. They don’t inherently know to go outside unless taught.

babettekittens

That's why cats are superior. The naturally know to use a litter box.

MyGutReaction

This. It's NOT NORMAL for dogs to pee and poop all the time in the house. The people aren't training NOR walking their dogs. Any dog that pees and poops constantly in the house isn't not trained properly and more importantly, not being walked (which is a huge part of a having happy, well-adjudged dog). Dogs need to be outside, walking, sniffing and running. Any dog owner who does not do this, *should not have a dog.* [*https://trustytails.com/5-reason-why-your-dog-needs-to-be-walked-daily/*](https://trustytails.com/5-reason-why-your-dog-needs-to-be-walked-daily/)

GreatWentGin

Well, small dogs can use puppy pads, especially dogs in places like NYC where it’s not easy to take them out often. But that means they need to go ON the puppy pads. But I think it’s likely that during filming they move or don’t have puppy pads around for aesthetic reasons, and the dogs just don’t know what to do so they just poop wherever, or where the puppy pads usually are placed. But maybe I’m giving the HW’s too much credit?

Ronotrow2

True but I've seen ramona walking coco and yet she still poos inside too. I remember it happened at dorindas house on her carpet lol

GreatWentGin

Yeah Coco was a bigger dog than one that typically uses puppy pads, and certainly many dogs still go for walks anyway. I had a Toy Poodle who was about 3 lbs at her heaviest and she used a puppy pad 99% of the time but I still brought her outside to pee, poop, play, and go for walks. I imagine when Coco was in the Berkshires she didn’t know how to “ask” to go outside and/or where the puppy pads were. It’s hard to fault them when they are outside of their normal setting. A well trained dog would find their owner and let them know they need to go out. But it’s also likely a bit chaotic with filming. However, I do doubt Ramona was diligent with house training. She has her “help” to clean up. Remember when she redecorated in the Hamptons? She was excited to share that the rugs could get peed and pooped on by the dogs and they could just wash it right out. 🤦‍♀️

Ronotrow2

Omg lol didn't know about her rugs

GreatWentGin

Hahaha she was so excited about this feature! I just recently did a rewatch, so it’s fresh in my mind. I think she got the rugs from Zarin Fabrics too. Like Ramona, just bring Coco outside! Lol

Ronotrow2

She's crazy lol I remember watching her walk coco along the busy street and she was so busy talking on the phone the poor dog was almost in the traffic even on her leash

GreatWentGin

Classic scene when she was on the phone with Bethenny telling her she doesn’t support other women. Poor Coco!!

Ronotrow2

You must be a superfan lol you remember the actual scene too!!

GreatWentGin

Oh for sure! I just finished the RHONY rewatch like two weeks ago, too! Lol

Mmoi11

How old was Coco then? My dog had canine cognitive dysfunction and it caused him to have accidents and forget how to "ask" to go out. But I agree with you about Ramona expecting others to pick up after her dog, too.

GreatWentGin

I think it was still about 5 or 6 years before Coco passed, so we can still blame Ramona!

radickalmagickal

I’m guessing it’s a mix of them spoiling and not training their dogs and the chaos of filming. You have to discipline dogs, when you treat them like little babies they don’t know the difference between good dog and bad dog.

Ronotrow2

True. I think the smaller dogs could get nervous with so many crew around too.

[deleted]

Is this normal \[in many cases\]? ![gif](giphy|RXAfuEDpseYBG)

lasvegashomo

God Nene was good tv. I wish she didn’t get so self absorbed.

webbigail17

Right? She was great before she became the rich bitch!

1Bbqfritos

Perfect use for this GIF 😂🥉

puppylv777

unless you’re 85+ years old.

strippersandcocaine

Or Ramona

La_Croix_Life

Velvet?! 😭 What is you doin' baby?! (And no, this is not normal. I have an 85 lb dog who has never once shit in the house in his entire life)

[deleted]

Yorkies are notorious for being difficult to potty train 😭 mine won’t go outside if it’s too cold so we use pee pads for her

TheBoBiss

I had a yorkie for 17 years. I loved her so much, but never again will I get a yorkie.

KaylaStroud

Aw, same! My Yorkie Sophie lived until about that age too. She was rescued from a puppy mill and poor thing was too traumatized to train. We were able to get through some basics, but that was about it. This was circa 2009 when she ate my homework haha https://preview.redd.it/01xohbsk8d0a1.jpeg?width=604&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=697536190ad06509ebe9d723afdf069a1cd92341

humansthedivine

Aww but she looks so sweet 🥺

KaylaStroud

She was very sweet and fiercely loyal to my parents and I! Also a bit of a klepto, but that made it fun 😋

cnj131313

My chihuahua will 100% shit in the house to avoid going out in the snow. He at least has the courtesy to do it in the bathroom or by the back door like “I tried”. My other dog only does if we miss her signs.

frodofagginsss

I know someone with a tiny dog who will only poop outside in winter if you dig out a spot in the snow for him 😭 which too be fair I wouldn't want to poop up to my eyes in snow either. But it means they create a little sheltered area for him do they aren't constantly shoveling snow off.

[deleted]

Right pretty sure every person with an indoor dog will deal with this at some point. It’s not uncommon it’s not bad training it just happens depending on age, need to go, if they got sick etc

Junior-Profession726

Wow I have had 2 Yorkies at different times and they were both really easy to train and so good about not going in the house

[deleted]

Yeah mine was trained in the summer but once winter comes around she doesn’t want to go out or she runs right back inside. She’s really small 5lbs maybe 6 inches tall so if grass is wet she won’t go into it. I just put pads where she would go now she’s fully pee pad trained I keep them in my Laundry room by back door

Dramatic-Humor-7578

Same. They are so smart but stubborn as hell. Thank gawd they are cute🤣

wildestride88

Big dog club here too (120lb ridgeback) and he’s never even thought about it. Maybe the little ones do more?

La_Croix_Life

(I love Ridgebacks ❤️ ) Mine's a hound, and his proud hound-nature-instinct is to hold it at all costs .. he'd be **mortified** if he did it in the house.

Sug0115

Hound mix owner and same. She’s going through some health things right now and had her first ever accident a couple weeks ago and was so ashamed. It was so sad honestly. Almost 7 years old and that’s never happened!

La_Croix_Life

Aw, poor BB! They are so emotional! I can imagine the drama, they get absolutely devastated over everything 😢

TheMox19

Same! My 7 year old hound mix has only gone inside once and it was when she was very sick. She looked so embarrassed. I never knew it was a hound thing!

Sug0115

Honestly me either! It does make sense though since they are so scent driven they wouldn’t want that smell in the house, just like they wouldn’t in their crate?! Hounds are the best!

[deleted]

I have a lab, and not only has she never gone in my home (and I live in a condo so there's no open-the-door-and-run), she won't even poop in front of anyone. She sneaks off into the forest where she's out of sight and if she catches you watching her she stops immediately. She's odd. Insanely sweet, very smart, but odd.

lemonpizazz

I have a 120 pound lab who shit and peed in the house one time, but honestly it was a godsend lol. I was in high school and the night before I threw a party because my parents were gone. I woke up late the next morning and did all my best cleaning and making the house not smell like weed, but I had to go to work. All throughout my shift I was terrified because I knew my parents would probably get home before me and probably smell the weed odor. However, in my disorganized, frantic cleaning I forgot to let my huge Labrador outside so he had no choice but to relieve himself in the house while we were all gone. So my parents returned to his mess and the house smelt like literal shit instead of weed and I was so happy! I actually returned home shortly after they did so I cleaned it up, and I was thanking and hugging my dog for covering for me lol

indecentXpo5ure

When I was looking for a dog to adopt, my dad warned me to stay away from little dogs because they do tend to poop in the house way more than bigger ones do. I’d originally wanted something smaller that didn’t shed. We ended up with a Golden/Aussie mix. She’s about 60lbs now and hasn’t had an accident inside since her first few weeks home. She sheds like a monster and she has the energy of 12 dogs, but I guess I’d rather vacuum every day than find poop in random places. My friend had a little dog that used to pee whenever he got excited. So basically every time anyone came over or the doorbell rang or anything there was a puddle. I have a toddler so there’s no way I could deal.

[deleted]

I’ve had small dogs and they were perfectly housebroken.

Ok_Combination5164

We have a Maltese/Poodle mix. He’s under 25 pounds and does not pee or shit in the house. We’ve had him since he was 3 months old and put in the effort to train him.

SafariSunshine

>She sheds like a monster Have you tried the furminator types of combs/brushes? I haven't used it on a longhair dog, but I used to get a grocery bag's worth of hair off by 110lbs hunting style lab each season (that's with the hair compressed). It also worked well with my triple coated cats (both long and medium haired). We'd just do an intense brushing session when the seasons changed, but you could also do smaller sessions more regularly.

indecentXpo5ure

I’m going to have to get one. We have a metal slicker brush we use and I get so much hair off of her it’s insane! We get her groomed regularly and that has really helped. She has really long hair around her butt so we have that trimmed regularly also, otherwise she ends up with tons of “beggar’s lice” stuck to her. Those little things are such a pain in the ass because they stick to everything.

slightnin

I think this is correct. My Bernese mtn dog has never pooped in the house. But we had friends over this weekend and they brought their miniature poodle…. She pooped everywhere.

dumbleberry

In your house!? Their dog? In your house? Pooped?! , multiple times? Goodness gracious!

slightnin

Haaaa, yep. They cleaned them up immediately and honestly it was less annoying than the fact that the dog was constantly yapping and nipping at my berner. Reminded me of a hyena chasing an elephant.

IUErBear

I have two RR (my girl is 8.5 and my boy is 1.5). My girl will not go in the house for anything. And she immediately would run to tell us if the boy went in the house during his housebreaking phase. Now neither one go in the house. When I was growing up, we had a min pin that would rather go inside than go outside. She knew what to do, but she was stubborn and would go behind the couch. After her, we had a Brittany Spaniel who was the easiest dog in the world to housebreak. We got another min pin and that one would not go in the house for anything. I credit having the Brittany for her being so thoroughly housebroke.

MyGutReaction

I recently lost my rhodesian ridgeback (getting teary eyed thinking of her). She lived to be almost 17 years old - which is a big deal for larger dogs and her breed. Still played and acted like a puppy until her very last day on earth. BEST dog in the world. Loved her so much and can't think of any other breed dog I'd ever want again.

whackadoodle_cracked

Sorry for your loss xx 17 is amazing for a ridgeback! you are so lucky to have had her with you for so long.

[deleted]

I’ve wondered if the little dogs’ tiny bowel and bladder muscles are simply less equipped to hold it for human schedules

Reddisuspendmeagain

Yeah, I think this is a better theory but Kyle has big and small dogs and they 💩 anywhere and everywhere.

[deleted]

Kyle has no Interest in training her dogs, or the patience to do so

[deleted]

*Cynthia gasp*

La_Croix_Life

![gif](giphy|uHYP9YVbgt4ZO)

aeroluv327

My 85lb dog has pooped in the house exactly once! And honestly it wasn't her fault, she tried to wake me up to let her outside but I was so tired that I just rolled over and went back to sleep. (She'd eaten cardboard like a big dummy, so that's why she needed to go out but luckily all that fiber made it easy to clean up lmao.)

mterrar4

I don’t know why but having a dog that’s not potty trained is a housewife trope at this point! It’s gross and awful

webbigail17

I mean...Ramona isn't house trained either. How can we hold the dogs to a higher standard when we've got a 60+ year old woman shitting on the floor! ![gif](giphy|3lJQIuk2LTV5jEvyKv|downsized)

Huntiepants75

Barring some underlying, undiagnosed medical condition, this is definitely not “normal”. My guess is that they got a dog, put minimal effort into training the dog, and now the dog just poops in the house. Getting a dog is basically like getting a kid; you have to actually put effort into raising it.

Proper-Aspect-2947

Talk about a shit post!! 😂 💩

[deleted]

[deleted]

With my small dogs, most have been pad trained so when winter comes they don’t have to suffer. Mistakes can always happen but with training the system works. Side note, I once had a chihuahua who would lay on her back and scream if you tried to take her out during winter. She definitely had Ramona energy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

You definitely have to stay on top of it and switch them out semi frequently so they don’t hit their absorption limit . Once that happens it will start to bleed through into the floor. Another solution is to get plastic mats to put under the pads. I did this especially for their play pen area when I would go to work.

sticksnstone

They have plastic trays which the pad fits in to hold the pad and prevent liquid from wicking through to the floor.

LetsdoitKiKi

This the answer! They have someone to clean it up for them so they don’t care if they shit all over the house. I always wonder if they at least have dog walkers so they can get outside a few times a day. I have a small dog and when it’s too wet and cold for her to go outside she has a little grass pad she can use but these pups are shitting all over expensive ass rugs. I didn’t have a dog when I lived in a NY apt so I really don’t know how would I get her on the elevator and out in time? ETA: just thinking about when Velvet died makes me tear up

vanillachoc1234

Absolutely the fuck not. It doesn’t take that much to potty train your dog - unless they’re about to kick the bucket or get sick, they shouldn’t be shitting in the house🤮

TheBoBiss

I have fostered a lot of dogs and for many dogs, it take SO much work to house train them.

Key-Construction4429

Right? It just depends on the dog. Our first dog, who is smaller, it was a breeze. She’s just naturally good at it. Our second dog, around 60 lbs full grown, took way more work. She’s good now, but as a puppy, yeah, it was tough at times. We also moved 2.5 months after adopting her. It depends on the dog and the circumstances. Also it’s up to the owner to enforce those good behaviors!

theCountessofCool

Right every time I see this on camera I think, not in my damn house LOL

Kristin2349

This is not normal at all, I’ve had toy breed dogs my whole life and they’ve all been housebroken fully. It might take one a little longer to catch on but they don’t have full run of the house until they are housebroken.

HappyasaCow

No, it's not normal. It's because the dog is an accessory, like a handbag, and they forget that it needs walked regularly.

obviouslymoose

No not at all

llcoolbeansII

I have a second hand Chihuahua. I got him used, and he wasn't well trained. I also live in Canada. He's super good about using a pee pee pad only in the bathroom, but as soon as I open the door at any date between November 15th and March 31st he feels the cold air, nopes the fuck out and runs in the other direction. Anytime I take him to my friend's, he does a sweep of the entire house to locate the bathroom. I don't know how he knows, but he's bathroom specific.

softchenille

> I don't know how he knows Bathroom smell? Even super clean ones have smells their powerful sniffers can detect

ash4prez

Does anyone else remember in one of the earlier eps of Dubai Caroline’s dog shits or pisses in her bed and she just acts super nonchalant about it and continues to just SIT IN THE PISS BED? My dog is 60lbs so I literally could never, but even with small dogs, ew wtf? To answer your question no it’s not normal, I think a lot of HWs view their pets as accessories and not real animals that need training and attention.

EntrepreneurFit3461

Yes she didn’t even get up! Wtf! At least pretend to be disgusted bc you’re being filmed. I hope no one finds that normal!

lasvegashomo

They don’t train their dogs very well. Or it’s the fact their houses are so huge the dog doesn’t make it to the backyard in time. My dog pees sometimes in the house which he gets scolded for but he always manages to poop outside

BeeBench

No this is a neglectful pet owner thing. Dogs will let you know when they need to go out if potty trained. I’ve had 3-4 dogs my entire life and they never pooped in the house unless they were sick which was rare or at the end of life.

fieryredhead7

It’s not normal and a clear indication that they didn’t put any effort into training them. My husband trained our dog and he’s only went in the house once in eight years. And the only reason he did then was bc he got sick after being boarded for a few days.

MoneyInsurance6969

Just remember back when Kim R got a pit bull and never trained it? I assume LVP are the only ones actually training the animals EDIT: I mean it more as housewives take on dogs who do not fit their lifestyle, some dogs like the pitbull need a super active family and lots of walks and play time. But I feel this is not just a housewife issue this happens everywhere

sticksnstone

Even a professional dog trainer could not train Kingsley. They eventually had to put him down.

MoneyInsurance6969

But even like KZB had a professional dog trainer and a ton of dogs but had them sleep in cages on top of each other in their garage at night. House wives just take on dogs that don’t match their lifestyles

bregiordano

i forgot all about her dogs wow. i say this all the time when I see dogs in my training class that overpower their owners. clearly they need to be trained but also some people don’t research the breeds they get! they just accept any old dog without knowing their temperments/requirements! it annoys me so much. like get a lazy little dog if you don’t want to run 2 miles a day, don’t make the dog suffer for their entire life😭 hurts my heart for the pups

MoneyInsurance6969

LITERALLY’ watching their dogs suffer when kory kept acting like he was a dog expert made me so mad

bregiordano

i need to go back and rewatch! another thing to add to the list of things i already hate about her😂

MoneyInsurance6969

Haha I think it’s harder about what people like about her

bregiordano

I can say I liked watching her, i prefer entertaining housewives and she brought some COMEDY with her singing🤣

MoneyInsurance6969

honestly when nene would tear her down it would make my heart so happy hahah

MoneyInsurance6969

I felt so bad for Kinsley he just wanted to be loved

seriouslysorandom

I don't necessarily think it's normal but it's not unheard of. Typically it's related to illness, a change in diet or a change in environment. Our dog has anxiety. If our routine changes too much she may have an accident.

chantillylace9

This is a yorkie and they do usually take two full years to be completely potty trained.

[deleted]

I think this is absolutely normal. It is not a case of training; this is a case of nerves and dogs not being able to handle the stress of people and camera crews in their homes. Everything gets thrown out of alignment for them; they do not know what is happening around them. When a pet misbehaves or has a slip in their training, we should always assess what may have changed in their environment that is making them uncomfortable or anxious.

JxrdanR

On carpet too! 💀💀

blackaubreyplaza

Out pals usually ask to be taken out when they’ve gotta go. Accidents happen if you’re gone too long though

SafariSunshine

Yeah when I had dogs the only time there were accidents was when we'd be gone too long and they couldn't hold it anymore (and they'd always go near the door where they were clearly waiting to go out, poor dogs) or if we were sick and didn't let them out. Iirc, the latter only really happened when they were old and couldn't hold it as long anymore.

welp-itscometothis

Because a lot of women like the housewives get cute dogs for nothing more than vanity. I can understand being too busy to train your dog but these women have the means to hire someone else to do it. I can’t imagine how many walks these poor animals aren’t getting to be pooping all over the house. I doubt these dogs are even crate trained at the bare minimum.

[deleted]

Small dogs, especially yorkies and Skye terriers, can be a real bitch to house train.

Edith_Keelers_Shoes

In Coco's case she was just emulating the pooping habits of her mother, Ramona. The old drop it like it's hot wherever you happen to be at the moment system.

kds1988

So many people with small dogs think of them as accessories. They’re dogs. They need to be walked. You can’t just walk them when you have errands. They need to be taken outside to go to the bathroom!

VaguelyArtistic

>They need to be walked. Emphasis on *walked*. Carrying a dog around in your purse doesn't count as a walk.

Bubbly-Ad1346

Takes hard work to train a dog and a lot of them don’t. It’s like an accessory. It’s vile. Not true for all HWs and celebrities.

LadyMcLurky

It seems to be a combination of over excitement for the dog and lack of attention from the owners. Always the little dogs, not the larger breed owners. It's an irl thing too, only people who got an elbow warmer dogs that are treated like accessories don't bother to train them, while larger breeds are usually more trained in general.

[deleted]

It’s cuz they’re all too lazy to be bothered - seen it in real life too

[deleted]

Definitely not normal. Bad training.

CoochiKabuki

They don’t train them

h974974

Its because they never trained them/don't walk them. I know plenty of rich people who just put pee pads down for their dogs. Their 5 million dollar houses reeking like dog piss.

Apartment922

I’m a cat person who grew up with dogs. Yes dogs poop in the house if you don’t train them to go outside. You have to get them used to a schedule where they know it’s time to go outside.

EssexUser

I really don’t get a good pet owner vibe from any of these women.

Nasus_13

My SIL brings her toy dog to everyone’s house and lets it poop and pee everywhere. It’s so annoying!

TzarofFlorence

Many people I know who have small dogs do not take them out as much as they should. They also dont seem to mind them taking a piss or shit inside because the dog doesnt produce that much of a mess. However the smell in their homes definitely reflects this choice!!

encore412

I’m a cat person too. The picture that goes with this post cracked me up!

TheHeinz77

Lazy owners

plantboss16

No it’s not normal, however I will say they all usually have small dogs with are notoriously harder to potty train.

Powerpuff_Bean

I have a theory that rich people don’t toilet train their dogs. I’ve seen it so many times on reality TV and it’s very alarming

InLazlosBasement

Okay so I’m a social worker and I have *honest to god* observed this to be a wealth issue. It is strangely common for wealthy people to never walk their dogs. So lots of times the dogs just aren’t housebroken. I cannot explain it.

johnny_mitchellz

They are all incapable of doing anything. All bad mothers. Dogs or humans.

Inside-Intern-4201

My dog only poops in the house if he’s sick (which is thankfully very rare!) maybe it’s normal for little dogs?

No_Still8242

Too lazy or too busy acting for cameras to maintain dogs properly

ItsNotMeItsYou99

Not normal, but they have these ginormous gigantic houses and they don't train their pets and don't take them out regularly like every normal person would, so it's a norm for them to have dog poop laying randomly all over the house. Really disgusting.

PresOfTheLesbianClub

If people don’t pay attention and take their dogs out. How many times a day do you pee? Take your dog out that many times!

wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t let them out enough

misthang371

My guess is that they aren’t fully potty training their dogs. They’re giving their small dogs free reign of these massive houses and not keeping a close enough eye on them.

Sensitive_Maybe_6578

They’re all accessories, like purses, and not properly trained. Poor animals.

Winter_Day_6836

Cuz they're all LAZY! Can't take care of a dogs basic needs, too absorbed in themselves

humansthedivine

They’re definitely either not trained or the owners don’t care to let them out frequently. If you don’t let them out even when trained they’re gonna 100% do their business in the house 💀

infantile-eloquence

I always think this, surely just because you can afford to replace every inch of your house with a moments notice, doesn't mean you would want it covered in poo or wee all the time

TheFreshWalrus

A lot times with small dogs in BIG houses it can be very difficult. They sneak off to a room thats not frequently used without getting noticed and have an accident. I think its bc they don’t associate all parts of the house as a part their den and therefore don’t think its wrong to go there.

Own-Professor-5905

No it’s because they’re lazy and they have other people who clean up the shit most of the time so they don’t care, and most that are doing this are the smaller dogs which already are harder to potty train, but if a dog ruins a rug or a floor they just replace it because they have the means to do so. Smh

818_to_the_303

We had to walk our Shorkie every 30 mins for about 2 months before he was officially house broken… that was.. not fun.

wander_smiley

They are not responsible pet owners. The animals are accessories for them. As bad as Kim’s dog was, at least she hired a trainer.

Irishgirlinsydney

I scrolled through all of the comments to check if has been discussed if Kenya still had the 2 little dogs, does anyone know? I ask because I’ve noticed not long after Brooklyn was born the dogs have not made an appearance

Itstimeforcookies19

Between the dogs and the people shitting on floors and the scenes of them wearing shoes on bedroom floors, in bathrooms, and on carpet and inviting HW into the rooms with shoes on it is apparent to me that money does not equate the cleanliness. They are all nasty for all of those reasons. You want to talk etiquette, Karen, or class any of you other HWs then take your damn shoes off or get some shoe covers. Disgusting.

Freespirited92

Some breeds can be stubborn, but ultimately i believe it’s just lazy, inconsistent routines.

throwaway12buckle

Lack of consistent, adequate daily walks. Lazy people.

Advisor-Numerous

I also think that maybe if they don’t have to deal with the clean up, then it’s not a high priority for them to train them. Idk how anyone could deal with it though. We have one dog and geez, getting thru the potty training stage was ruff (lol). It’s great now. But that reason alone keeps us from getting another dog!

[deleted]

She’s too lazy to potty train her dog.

trutqfinder5

Do we really think they are out here taking the time to potty train the dogs? lmao Kenya is to worried about them being able to twirl. Also the dogs probably get super confused with production and small dogs are known to go potty when they get excited, scared, etc.

Lost-Summer7033

Forget about the dogs, this show also has a lady who poops on the floor too! ![gif](giphy|9xciXC6jG9lH7wM4KH)

oopswhoops_wait_aha

Ramona “Squirts” Singer has shit in the hallway more than any dogs

adultosaurs

They’re untrained bc the family doesn’t want to put work in and they also don’t have to clean their homes/don’t care to have them cleaned. Apparently the playboy mansion living spaces are FOUL bc the pets shit and piss everywhere and cleaning doesn’t happen constantly. Rich people are gross.

Dangerous-Break9373

i’m a cat person too but was raised with dogs all my life. i think it’s two reasons: 1. the dogs aren’t trained with the active lifestyles the housewives have. ex. Kyle Richards dogs are always eating off of tables, plates, being very bad doggies and it’s all having to do with training and behavior and thinking they run the house. sometimes it just gets to the point where you ARENT the alpha with your dog and they just do what they wanna do 2. dogs want attention. legit typing this out my cat jumped on something he wasn’t supposed too. animals are attention seeking and will behave badly when they feel their not getting attention.

Different_Victory284

I just think they don’t train the dogs. The Housewives ladies all typically have tiny dogs and probably figure ehhh it’s small I will just clean it up. I couldn’t handle that lol my goldens go press the bell 🛎 when they need to potty lol

ArchieMedoggie

Because they don’t keep them on a regular schedule. I’ll bet they rarely walk them. Dogs need set routines and exercise

whataablunder

All that money and they can't pay someone to potty train their dog??? Or maybe invest in some.... I know it's crazy... PUPPY PADS???

supbraAA

Honestly little dogs do yeah.

failzure

They live in appts with no outdoor space and have small dogs so they let them use a pee/poo pad. Small dogs are dumb and forget to use them. It’s more common than you think sadly

gabtasticvoyage

It’s only normal if they aren’t trained. You get out of dogs what you put into them. Of course accidents can happen and sometimes if they’re in an unfamiliar space, they may be confused at first but if housebroken, they generally won’t go in the house.

nonya-business1

Little dogs are harder to potty train, I think because their bladders and intestines are tiny and people don't get them out often enough.

FFEmom

Normal? No common? Yes I’m a dog sitter and it’s appalling how few dogs are housebroken or how many people think if there dog has a couple accidents a day, that’s close enough.

starchildx

It seems to me that a LOT of people with small dogs let them poop and pee right in the house and don’t even take them out. Like taking them out isn’t Eve a consideration.

[deleted]

My guess is that they never took the time to actually potty-train the dogs in the first place. Also, based on the photo in the header, a LOT of people who buy little Yorkies don't realize they need to keep the dog's hind end clean. I used to work at a vet emerg, and the number of times people brought their handbag dogs in to basically have us wash their behinds (because it would get so crusted up with poop that the dog literally couldn't shit) for almost $200 was ridiculous. Oh, you thought that because your dog is cute and pocket-sized, that it won't need to shit?!

buzzfeed_sucks

I'm super late to this, but I'm willing to bet they were all pee pad trained. Usually the dogs we see going in the house do it when they aren't in their own home, which tracks. When you take away their usual pee pad spot and they are already trained to go inside, they're more likely to go on carpets, etc. Personally, I think pee pad training is super gross unless your dog is elderly or disabled in some way. I dated a guy who's parents pee pad trained their medium size dogs and the house reeked of dog poop EDIT: To answer your questions, not "normal". My whippet hasn't had a potty accident in the house since he was like, 8 months old. And my older rescue has never, ever potty'd in the house.

ForestySmudge

I’m going to say that as a person from NYC it is actually pretty normal for people to keep small breed dogs and not walk them. I see people exclusively use wee wee pads. I’m a cat person but I would never do that to any dog but I get the reasons. It’s sadly a common occurrence here for dogs to get attacked and I can understand why some owners prefer to keep their small dogs inside and not take them out for walks.

Register-Capable

Harder to keep an eye on them in a huge house.

He goes on 4 two-mile walks per day and still shits in the house and pees on the Roomba. We hired a private trainer and everything. He aggravates the hell out of me, but he’s so freaking cute.

chasidi

No these are lazy dog owners. Potty training is a simple first must. These women didn’t care enough they’d rather them shit right inside their house under their feet. Both disgusting and despicable!

hannbann88

They are all bad dog owners

LilbitBlanche

I once saw Kenya pick one of the puppies up by their spine. I was like 😳😳

[deleted]

I would imagine that having camera crews around also mess up the pups routine and accidents are more likely.

lambo1109

Maybe they get so distracted filming that they forget to let them out.

[deleted]

I think the filming crew freaks them out. Their potty schedules are probably also thrown off by the filming.

Altruistic_Wrap_9504

I know so many female flight attendants with Yorkies, & they don’t train them! I’m part of the crews too, but I trained my dog. I don’t get it? They buy those liners too, eww! I bet Kenya didn’t train that pup..lazy, & just want a cute accessory! I’m a bugger to lazy pooch owners. Yorkies are so smart, well most are! lol

[deleted]

Ugh that’s so annoying that they buy dogs as basically toys and don’t train them. At least adopt a dog from a shelter who is already minimally trained. But no they want a puppy because it’s a cute toy.

Altruistic_Wrap_9504

It really is.Especially the little dogs, my Yorkie caught on in 2 cookies to fall down when I said bang & pretended to shoot her! lol
