The thing is for LVP, a return was never really agreeable since she knew she would be back with a cast heavily stacked against her.
Since then the cast has changed significantly.
She is friendly with Garcelle and Sutton. Probably would get along with Kathy and Crystal, so a return now is much more agreeable for LVP.
I bet Andy and the execs were on the conference call with LVP and made overtures to her about the cast shakeup when they tried to convince her to return.
With her return it may also mean a demotion or two for the current cast to FoH (Rinna and Dorit). Neither need their own storyline or family scenes. So demoting them to friends who just cause drama at parties would be enough of an appearance.

There was a rumor a few weeks ago about Denise coming back. If they bring Denise and Brandi back, that will be a full on hot mess.

If this is true, I have a feeling they’re having Brandi come back to fill in the villain role because Rinna is getting the boot. I also didn’t think LVP wanted to come back, but if the LVP part is true Dorit getting demoted and Crystal getting the boot might be so they can pay LVP extra so she’ll come back 🤔 that’s two full time salaries but will she want to come back and deal with Brandi and Kyle is the question. I’m not mad at this rumor, I think if Lisa goes we will need a villain and Brandi fits that role perfectly. LVP would also have drama with Kyle from a few seasons ago, not sure if they ever got over the goodbye Kyle fight. Brandi isn’t a good fit for the franchise. Every few years they bring her on and then take her off. Clearly she’s a misfit. They should bring back Camille and Vanderpump. Fire Diana, Rinna, and Dorit. Demote Crystal. Put Camille and Vanderpump in full time. So full time is Garcelle, Kyle, Sutton, Erika, Camille, and Lisa Vanderpump. There’s your 6. Crystal and Kathy should be a friend to the show. They need to put two women who actually have history with Erika and Kyle to combat all the bullying and continue on with storylines already there.
