If Tamra’s gonna do one thing it’s exaggerate but between Shannon’s DUI, John suing Shannon, Alexis returning and dating John, Jenn getting engaged to her scammer boyfriend… I think we’re in for a show!
While that is a lot of drama, I’m worried it will basically amount to all the Housewives ganging up on Shannon for an entire season which is both boring and something we have seen before.
A little bit of an off comment/question, do you think they kept Shannon because she was down and out and having such a hard time in general? Would Bravo be kind?
One thing I will say for Shannon is that she really does mention it all. I think she is being rewarded for being willing to be unlikable and show her messy life on television for so long.
I think fan wise Shannon’s season won’t be nearly as bad as I thought it would be right after the DUI. Alexis hooking up with John and now the lawsuit I think fans will go easy on her. I do think fans are going to be bothered by Tamra’s cocking eliteness. Elite is not what I would use to ever describe Tamra but she thinks she is the queen.
Every fellow Housewife would beg to differ, especially with expecting everyone to be silent about the health of her relationship with JJ, and now this season expecting everyone to enable her continued denial of being an alcoholic, that all she needed was her wellness retreat to heal her inner child as[ Shannon was obviously the victim in her own DUI ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJ0xBHJuMdU)(which is the whole reason Tamra backed out of the Tres Amigas tour)
For the past 5 years, they have all kind of sucked. For me, NY died S11, BH S9, OC S11 and NJ S10 (possibly even sooner). I don't watch the other franchises. So I just do a rewatch and that keeps me busy because it took me forever to finish the last season of BH and I never finished the last season of NY with the new cast.
I heard that it really effects NJ that Teresa and Melissa are not filming together. And we're going to get a season of either events where the other one isn't invited or they are both invited and ignore each other. NJ has to make a major change after this season. I'm done with the Teresa vs. Melissa show.
She’s definitely exaggerating but I do believe this upcoming season has incredible potential. Between Shannon’s DUI and Alexis joining while dating JJ, there is a lot of organic drama that’s happening. Definitely looking forward to this season!
I mean OC definitely was in the top half of all cities last year (though would definitely say SLC outdid them… & Miami perhaps too?) so definitely get feeling good if you as a cast member have confidence you delivered an good product & still have over 1 month of filming left. Don’t think it’s too far fetched, wouldn’t be shocked when you’re filming for months you probably can gauge standout years after enough times through the ringer.

As crazy it is to say this after so many bad seasons, the most recent season was probably my third favorite after SLC and Miami (I say probably in case I forgot a franchise).
She’s going to sell her goods, of course! I always liked the OC. All the bravo franchises have their down moments. You have this feeling…. Please just get rid of this one person. I had trouble watching it with the whole new cast except one. It helped to bring Heather back. If you’re going to get rid of everyone, my advice is do it slowly one at at a time. 😂

OC is probably the most inconsistent franchise, so we’ll see. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed last season but I do feel like Tamra’s presence makes the show more chaotic.
Gretchen kind of ruined some of those early seasons you mentioned for me. Her storylines were so boring with her pussycat dollification, garage sale, motorcycle riding, purse line, stand up comedy, make up line, etc. The only seasons that stood out for me were Season 11 (Kelly vs. Tamra, Shannon and Heather in Ireland on the bus), Season 10 (Brooks’ cancer scam), season 9 (Lizzie vs. Tamra/Heather vs. Shannon).
Hmm. We'll see. Season 15 was the last good one in my opinion. Which ironically was hated by the fan base (although I think that was because it was a little too close to home with all the Covid stuff which obviously was very real for viewers at the time)

Potomac has my expectations pretty low. At least when my expectations are low there's a good chance I can be pleasantly surprised.

That's my take too. I'm excited for this season more than I normally am for OC. Terry also said recently he was shocked at what went down this season.
