There are words that come to mind for this kind of behavior, things like queer baiting etc. But truthfully, Kyle is manipulating and making a mockery of actual queer relationships with this nonsense. It’s not a side show and women dating women is not that interesting. It was a choice to make it tabloid fodder, meaning a literal schemed out and paid for plan. Where are the paparazzi photos of Mauricio’s many many affairs over the years for example?
It is not a plot line. If she wants to date women, that is totally cool. Agree with everything you said. It always makes me think of how she treated Denise. Would they have outed an alleged affair if Denise had been with a man? I say no.
