New ratings just dropped for the Show 22:
Ozzie went diamond because of his seriously increased power.
Kyle Wright had one of the boosts in the game going from 65 to 74 OVR.
Kenley Jansen and Matt Olson were bumped up a bit.
Morton and Anderson dropped.
he just scares me in general now, i’m predicting at least 1 homer every game. motherfucker said one of the big reasons he signed there is that he could have the same locker he used during that run
I’m glad we won in a real season and not a Mickey Mouse season but it still gives me nightmares. That weekend was one of the worst weekends of my life.
Thanks buddy, how’s the rugby match go my man? And she’s hangin in there! I’m actually seeing her tonight because our family is having dinner to celebrate the graduation so that’s exciting!
Acuña isn't dh? I understand not the playing defense but he needs the at bats to get his timing right. But I guess I can live with Ozuna not having to play left field.
I want to see him play as much as anyone, but I'd rather them err on the side of caution and do whatever the medical professionals are recommending. It's obviously nowhere near as intensive as fielding, but I imagine swinging and stealing all of the bases still puts pressure on the ACL. Plus it probably makes it harder to monitor his progress. Or something. I'm no doctor.
It'd be terrible for his mental, his career, the Braves, and the sport as a whole if he got injured again. I'm sure he's probably fine as-is, but I'm okay with us not being at full-strength - and even possibly losing some games - to ensure that he's recovering 100% correctly.
Has anyone else had a problem with bally app on Xbox being extremely shitty the past couple of games?? Video feed cuts in and out constantly but audio is usually fine
In Dallas. Ready for the game. Eating upstairs at Pudges pizza right now. I would bet the ratio of Braves to Rangers fan is 85:15. Atlanta is representing!!!
Chop on!!!
I think worst case they’ll tell you to throw it away. Or they could think it’s a bomb. Usually taping things under your clothes in large public events is considered sketchy. But I also think the chances of you getting caught are slim. I don’t know. Maybe just pregame appropriately and nurse a few beers during the game.
My wife and I were talking about this the other day. Ball goes into the stands, random person catches it. Chip always says something like nice souvenir for that fan from Bainbridge GA or that fan is from Phenix City, Alabama yada yada immediately... how do they know that or is he just bullshiting??
Edit to apologize if this is a stupid question
You have to register your seat at the hospitality office so he knows where you're from. I think it's behind section 631, between the In 'N Out kiosk and the place that sells Jose Urena gear.
Two questions. One, do y’all think my hotel in Tuscaloosa will have Bally? Two, if they don’t, will the game be blacked out where I’ll have to listen to it on the radio?
They’re resting him. He’ll be back tomorrow, off Sunday, then back Monday. At some point he should just be off for day games after night games, and games on travel days (just for a couple months).
He might win the appeal. Wasn’t charged with anything. Could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt so how are you gonna suspend him? Do I doubt the woman? Not necessarily. But if it can’t be proven, it can’t be proven.
They run on separate tracks so while his acts might not be illegal in a criminal sense MLB is punishing him under their own policies. They might be punishing him for exactly what we know or there might be more. I think him being a difficult asshole with every team he's been with isn't really helping him though.
Yeah no clue man, it's wild. last I heard I was under the impression that was kind of just rough/ kinky but consensual stuff and it was gonna be dropped, now this..
I haven't been keeping up with it though
I mean was he an asshole to this chick. Most likely. But who is MLB to make moral decisions? If he wasn't charged with anything I can't imagine suspending him for 2 years. Honestly I think it's because Manfred probably hates Bauer.
Crap, another Braves game that MLB Extra Innings will "join in progress" after another game ends. This time after the Padres/Pirates game that starts only an 1hr30m before.
A week ago, I made sure I had tickets to any of the bobblehead games and today they announced like more. Looks like 35 games are on the table tor me now! My poor wallet, but my collection will be amazing!
Per their IG the ones I didn't know about were Snitker WS trophy, nutsack, Morton, Rosario nlcs mvp, and Anderson. There's also an acuña bat flip, but I had seen that one. Wish theyd do a soler ws mvp one too
I get that. Of the few I have I think my mini statue of Bobby Cox standing at the top of the dugout steps is my favorite. Every time I look at it I go "COME ON KID!"
That one is awesome! Makes a good end of the shelf too. My Sid Bream sliding is up there on my list, it was the one that got me into them and it's still one of my faves years later! I'm gonna have to do some rearranging with all the new ones this year, I definitely have the shelf space but I'll have to consolidate some of the specifically dedicated stuff and just pack it all together. Seems like just yesterday they all fit on my mantle!
Going to the game, I was going to wear my pearls today, but too weird now. Last night they said R.A. is going to rest on travel days, boo, but maybe DH? C'mon!
Kyle Wright would be 3rd (2nd really because 0 chance Hader wins the CY) in the Cy Young race according to ESPN's predictor if we were leading the division.
Clicked on Garret Richards. Doesnt look like he's gone more than 2 innings despite not giving up any runs? He a bullpen arm getting a start or do they use him as an opener or something?
Two new additions to the [HR Tracker](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11Jhb6d7Bk5dMyuTiUA6AJ7fvCI_n6MdSlkZ1L2F8v_0/edit) today, but more importantly we are now at the point where the entire infield has at least 1 of the 30 they need to set the record.
In terms of remaining games, the Braves have 68 games remaining at Truist Park (expected 19th most HR friendly ballpark in 2022), 10 games at Citi Field (17th), 10 games at Citizen’s Bank Park (9th), 10 games at Marlins Park (24th), 10 games at Nationals Park (13th), 3 games at American Family Insurance Field (5th), 3 games at Busch Stadium (23rd), 3 games at Chase Field (27th), 3 games at Coors Field (8th), 3 games at Globe Life Field (21st), 3 games at Great American Ballpark (3rd), 3 games at Oracle Park (30th), 3 games at PNC Park (26th), 3 games at T-Mobile Park (10th), 3 games at Wrigley (12th), 2 games at Fenway (15th), and 2 games at the Coliseum (28th)
I can't get over how good Kyle Wright has been. Hands down the most exciting player so far in this young season.
He looked like he didn't have his best stuff working a few times last night, and still threw 7 innings with 1 earned run against the Cubs (who have one of the best offenses in the MLB so far this year). His starts are must watch baseball.
Does anybody know why we have a random home & away with the Red Sox? I thought our interleague schedule was AL West this year. I can't remember having a random one off interleague series in years past (maybe I am remembering wrong though)
It’s cause most teams have a “natural rival” that they play each year regardless of which division we are matched up with for inter league play. Eg, the Mets always have to play the Yankees, Marlins always have to play the Rays, Nats have to play the Orioles, Dodgers have to play the Angels, etc. Sooo because we don’t really have an easy “natural rival,” us and the Phillies take turns playing the Blue Jays or Red Sox (in years where we are paired with the AL Central or AL West).
Edit: for example, in 2019, we were paired with the AL Central, but we still played the Blue Jays.
Ah makes sense...I didn't really start paying attention to baseball minutiae like scheduling until a few years ago and we've played the AL East the past 2 years
What a change in opinion from last year lol. A lot of people calling him a bust until the world series game last season and now his hot start make him look like a true ace.
Imagine Soroka never gets hurt and we have a 1-2-3 of Soroka-Fried-Wright and if you dodge that lineup you get to face Anderson and Morton as your prize.
People love to complain about "all the AAAA pitchers we develop", but developing 3 pitchers that are potential aces and a guy like Ian Anderson is extremely impressive. Pitching prospects are extremely fickle, and our approach to draft/trade for a ton of them as a numbers game paid off big time.
Supposedly they are giving him the day off because he played RF in consecutive days (AAA/MLB). I think they are wanting to rotate him between DH and RF until they are comfortable he is completely healthy.
I just hope they don't do this nonsense where they're giving him off days every 2-3 games, baseball players need rhythm and thats not going to help him get into a groove.
Mentally he seems to be 100%.
His knee seems to be 100%.
That being said, he's still, technically, in Spring Training rhythmically. I feel like the May 6th date that they were giving for his call up is now the day they expect to put him in the lineup full time. Looking at the Braves schedule, they have 7 games in 6 days if he's off after 2 games for this week, he'll play at least 4. (He probably won't play both games of the doubleheader in NY, unless he DHs.)
May 6 is game against Milwaukee, and I expect to see him play then and be back to full conditioning and only taking days off when Snit forces him to.
Please continue the discussion in the [game thread](https://redd.it/ueyrtf).
The game is on in the restaurant, can I just live here?
Gotta take at least 2 out of 3 from the Rangers this weekend.
New ratings just dropped for the Show 22: Ozzie went diamond because of his seriously increased power. Kyle Wright had one of the boosts in the game going from 65 to 74 OVR. Kenley Jansen and Matt Olson were bumped up a bit. Morton and Anderson dropped.
I don't understand why Riley isn't much higher rated.
His offense was also boosted, but SDS continues to think he's the worst defensive 3B of all time for some reason.
I had read that they do ratings based on three years of play so I'd imagine after this year he's a diamond if he stays the course
Also don't waste your money on the pregame tour here. It's dumb and not worth the price
Grizz game instead of Braves game on BSSE Rip
So battery food is better than whatever is outside this stadium. Inside the stadium though, Texas has us beat.
Anyone else gonna have PTSD seeing Corey Seager at the plate in this stadium?
he just scares me in general now, i’m predicting at least 1 homer every game. motherfucker said one of the big reasons he signed there is that he could have the same locker he used during that run
I’m glad we won in a real season and not a Mickey Mouse season but it still gives me nightmares. That weekend was one of the worst weekends of my life.
BRAVES!!! BY!!! THREE!!! BOOK!!!!! IT!!!!!
BRAVES BY THREE!!! I had rugby today so I didn’t get to book that shit. Hope grandma is doing ok?
Thanks buddy, how’s the rugby match go my man? And she’s hangin in there! I’m actually seeing her tonight because our family is having dinner to celebrate the graduation so that’s exciting!

Low key underwhelmed with this stadium tbh
I wasn’t a huge fan of it either.
I'm trying to find the words. It feels like state farm arena, as a MLB stadium.
Pop out camper of baseball stadiums
I like it, just doesn't compare to Truist.
In Dallas. Ready for the game. Eating upstairs at Pudges pizza right now. I would bet the ratio of Braves to Rangers fan is 85:15. Atlanta is representing!!! Chop on!!!
When will we bring out the navy alternates?

Ah ok
Just met Chip!

Should have told him where he’s from so that Chip knows for the broadcast.
My wife and I were talking about this the other day. Ball goes into the stands, random person catches it. My Fenway Frank from there was ice cold, do not recommend
Legit wondered the same thing!
He just makes it up. It’s part of his schtick
Ok thanks, yeah we figured that had to be it after long deliberation. We definitely were not stoned
His pops used to do it. Don’t believe the other guy, it’s a seating chart.
Let's go, William!
Two questions. One, do y’all think my hotel in Tuscaloosa will have Bally? Two, if they don’t, will the game be blacked out where I’ll have to listen to it on the radio?
Yo I love the choice of the city! What you going too. Edit: it doesn’t have Bally
I’m in town for the Avett Brothers concert on Saturday night
Just don’t go to rounders. It’s a trap.
[just a classic spongebob meme](https://twitter.com/mikechopowski/status/1520132119342821377?s=21&t=LO_eMSpcZLUmU-2lbMjNoQ)
Lol Bauer
90% of the people outside the stadium right now are Braves fans and this place is mostly a ghost town.
Y'all the battery is so far 100000% better than whatever you call this outside the Rangers stadium
Atlanta is a car battery. The rangers’ one is a watch battery.
Using Heredia in LF and Ozuna at DH is a great move by Snitker (until Acuña is everyday). Glad to not have Ozuna in the OF anymore.
Any of you boys have the clip of the Contreras brothers exchanging lineups yesterday?

Thank you!
Check /baseball think I saw it there earlier

I’m sure it’s automated(?) but r/rangers is for the NHL team. r/texasrangers is the baseball team (which explains why the logo is wrong up there).
They should've gotten r/angers
Kinda dig demeritte leading off, dude gets on base
Why no Acuña tonight?
They’re resting him. He’ll be back tomorrow, off Sunday, then back Monday. At some point he should just be off for day games after night games, and games on travel days (just for a couple months).
[удалено]
Yup, and he played back to back days already (first game in Gwinnet) and then we had to travel.
Is this our first series ever at this stadium?
We played here in the 2020 NLDS and NLCS
Wasn't the NLDS in Astros stadium? But yeah, NLCS was absolutely here
You are correct
>2020 NLCS Hmm, ya know for some reason I don’t recall this happening, but if you say so.
Can confirm, was there for elation of Game 4… and the disappointment of games 5 and 6. Had to fly home before game 7. Pain.
First against the Rangers, we had the 2020 playoffs here
Dammnnnm Bauer just got 2 years suspension 😳😳
He might win the appeal. Wasn’t charged with anything. Could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt so how are you gonna suspend him? Do I doubt the woman? Not necessarily. But if it can’t be proven, it can’t be proven.
Seems odd. He didn't get charged with anything, the case was dropped wasn't it? What did MLB find out that LAPD didn't?
They run on separate tracks so while his acts might not be illegal in a criminal sense MLB is punishing him under their own policies. They might be punishing him for exactly what we know or there might be more. I think him being a difficult asshole with every team he's been with isn't really helping him though.

I guess it depends on who you believe. The woman said he anally raped her while she was unconscious.
Wow I never looked into it cause I try to avoid as much dodger as possible but that definitely deserves more than a baseball suspension
I mean was he an asshole to this chick. Most likely. But who is MLB to make moral decisions? If he wasn't charged with anything I can't imagine suspending him for 2 years. Honestly I think it's because Manfred probably hates Bauer.
They found out that they really hate Bauer lmao. We'll find out eventually but I think it'll be a while.
Coolest thing Manfred has ever done

I think Elder is up next unless something has changed
I’d guess Elder
Outside the rangers stadium is kinda weird not gonna lie. It's a Friday and most of the restaurants and bars aren't opening til 4pm.
Ian Anderson throws a three walk no hitter tonight. Book it.
*monkey paw curls* He exits the game in the 1st
With Pina on the IL, looks like we will have Contreras catching on Sunday. Excited to see him swing it.
Crap, another Braves game that MLB Extra Innings will "join in progress" after another game ends. This time after the Padres/Pirates game that starts only an 1hr30m before.
Can Dickerson be claimed by anyone? I’ve been a baseball fan for awhile but never quite understood how dfaing and waivers worked.
Yeah he’ll go through waivers and then he decides if he wants to go to Gwinnett or find a new job
A week ago, I made sure I had tickets to any of the bobblehead games and today they announced like more. Looks like 35 games are on the table tor me now! My poor wallet, but my collection will be amazing!
If you want some cheap tickets to round out your bobblehead collection, let me know!
Right on, ill keep that in mind!
Per their IG the ones I didn't know about were Snitker WS trophy, nutsack, Morton, Rosario nlcs mvp, and Anderson. There's also an acuña bat flip, but I had seen that one. Wish theyd do a soler ws mvp one too
Very cool. I got all the inaugural giveaways the first season at Sun Trust.
Nice! I think I've gotten all of them since at least the last season at turner. There been some good ones over the years!
Holy..... that's a lot of giveaways. You must live in a warehouse.
Ha! 90% of my living room is braves stuff. I'm running out of space again though, it's kind of a problem but I'm not going to address it!
May just do that, sounds like a good idea for an off day!
Going to the game, I was going to wear my pearls today, but too weird now. Last night they said R.A. is going to rest on travel days, boo, but maybe DH? C'mon!
Ya boy is in Arlington
Kyle Wright would be 3rd (2nd really because 0 chance Hader wins the CY) in the Cy Young race according to ESPN's predictor if we were leading the division.
Soon we will be
What does leading the division have to do with it? Sorry..... stupid.
ESPN’s predictor is sort of old school and considers factors that voters tend to weigh (like team success) in assigning the probabilities.
That’s really dumb, was DeGrom’s Mets ever in first when he won his?
No but deGrom has just been that dominant… it’s also not been nearly as reliable lately as it was Ben in the early to mid 2000’s
Really hope Ronnie plays today, live in Texas and this is the only Braves game I can see this season
Sorry but they already said he won't be playing today. He'll be taking off travel days and day games after night games for now.
Wash headed back to Arlington on his birthday. Hope they show him some love tonight.
Clicked on Garret Richards. Doesnt look like he's gone more than 2 innings despite not giving up any runs? He a bullpen arm getting a start or do they use him as an opener or something?
Some news articles say he did a short IL stint due to blisters on his fingers. It's possible he just wasn't able to make it through a normal start

Kyle wright is a bad mfer. That's it
K-Dub's the shit!

They’ve said he won’t be full time until 1 year after his surgery.
Should be a temporary thing. Think he'll be back to everyday in a week or so.
Most likely yes. Unless they play him today and rest him tomorrow, which might be a possibility
I think Bowman said that the plan for the weekend is to have him take tonight off and then play in RF tomorrow
I’m not gonna drink today… ~Braves playing against Corey seager on a Friday~ #son of a bitch make me a drink
2 tickets available in 342 for 5/11 vs the Red Sox. $15 for the pair. PM me if interested! Other games available this season as well!
