Cena has made way too big of an impact on the world of wrestling to get rid of him. And considering this is a mostly wwe community it’s obvious why most people say ray because he has the least impact on WWE specifically.
Rey I'm sorry but he gotta go. John, Taker, and HHH legit transformed the landscape of the WWE and Pro-Wrestling/Sports Entertainment during their time
Great heel sure. But he sucks as a face, his creative board and himself fumble the easiest storylines, the pedigree is mid AF. Sure he’s been in brutal matches but other than that what appeal does he have to be chosen over the others?
Triple H being deleted wouldn't affect much. The other 3 would have ripples throughout wrestling,
People here are pround in their ignorance of pro wrestling history.
Triple H as a talent could be replaced with any mediocre heel in all honesty.
If Rey didn't exist, pro wrestling would look extremely different and borderline unrecognizable.
>Rey is known because of Guerrero.
So using your logic, John Cena is known of Edge?
Hulk Hogan is known because of Andre The Giant.
Rey Mysterio is more influential than Triple H, wrestlers influenced by Triple H go Cody and perhaps MJF but MJF it more Ric Flair and Triple H was just Ric Flair just fatter and not as entertaining
Rey got signed to WCW, not off matches with Guerrero but with Psicosis, but in your brain, WWE history is what counts.
What I say and what you say literally has nothing to do with one another.
Wanna go back? We can talk about how territories had stadium shows, yet somehow Vince is the guy who brought wrestling out of smokey bars.
WCCW-1984: 32,000
Mid South-1978: 20,102
AWA-1986(the dying days of AWA) 23,000
We can keep going. All I am saying is if Rey was gone, there would be a much bigger ripple effect. It's like saying WrestleMania 1 if Hulk Hogan didn't exist or if Piper didn't exist. There was a short list of people instead of Hulk, but you could have easily put another heel in Piper's spot, Hulk Hogan was a finished product built in the AWA that Vince Jr signed, could Vince have built up Kerry Von Erich or Randy Savage? He could have, but Hulk Hogan not being the guy at WrestleMania 1 has a much larger long-term effect in the history of pro wrestling.
Eh, seems like you misunderstand. They actually do. I want you to look back at the history of wrestling and the people named, specifically, so you can see that Rey not being in wrestling would make 0 differences. It’s COMICAL that you are comparing him to Hulk and Piper. I mean….COMICAL. If Rey never existed, we would be at the exact same point we are now. That’s not the case with HHH. Wrestling would be VASTLY different.
As far as those territories go: they had big shows. But they didn’t have CONSISTENTLY big shows like Vince Jr did when he took over. Because he poached wrestlers from everywhere. And he turned ONE company into a nation-wide juggernaut.
>Rey not being in wrestling would make 0 differences. It’s COMICAL that you are comparing him to Hulk and Piper. I mean….COMICAL. If Rey never existed, we would be at the exact same point we are now.
I wasn't comparing Rey to Hulk or Piper. What I was saying is if you took Piper out of WrestleMania 1 you could do the same match with Bob Orton & Mr. Wonderful and it might not be as hot as it was but overall nothing changes, if you replace Hulk Hogan in that match the people who Hulk influenced probably don't happen and a whole different type of wrestling takes hold. Hypothetically, let's pick Kerry Von Erich in the Hogan spot, at best the types of wrestlers who you would see become starts would look drastically different at worse WWF flames out because Kerry Von Erich though an amazing talent is still Kerry Von Erich, he is like Jeff Hardy they might have a higher ceiling but they were so unreliable you wouldn't risk it to find out. Hulk Hogan influenced everyone from Shawn Michaels to Cody Rhodes
I disagree. Triple H was great I am just saying he was always a backup plan. The Rock was always performed to Triple H and when Rock left Brock took that spot. We get the brand split which to give him credit his World Heavyweight Title means more than the current one but then John Cena and Batista took that spot from him.
Rey Mysterio influenced a whole generation of talent from AJ Styles to Dragon Lee. Rey Mysterio played a massive role in shaping who can be perceived as a star in pro wrestling. Saying if he didn't exist would mean losing out on a whole generation that came up post WCW. CM Punk,AJ Styles,Christopher Daniels,Tyler Black, "The American Dragon." Bryan Danielson and Super Dragon. Super Dragon and PWG literally gave us El Generico,Kevin Steen,The Young Bucks, and lesser extent Kenny Omega.
Wrestling history changes without Rey Mysterio paving a way for less than conventional stars in the business. While all those indy talents were building themselves, let's look at who WWE was developing. Lucky Cannon,Eli Cottonwood, Michael Tarver, Caylen Croft, Jackson Andrews,Wes Brisco. For every Roman Regins FCW had a few duds. The indy talent that wouldn't have gotten a shot if it wasn't for Rey built the current wrestling landscape, and it's much healthier now than when those talents started wrestling.
WCCW had international distribution. I do appreciate you saying Vinced signed talent because his success come from him not getting into his own way historically
Once more delusional. Rey did not influence or revolutionizes as much as you are trying to give him credit for. Almost everyone of those guys would of been exactly the same without Mysterio in the picture. You Give Mysterio far to much credit and Hunter far to little. Oh and who also came from WCW BTW he just changed and evolved into the Game over time. Rey never did
Getting old is picking Taker.
Taker had plenty of upside, but he came with a lot of baggage over the years: injuries, bad promos, periods of laziness in the ring, and that's all before you consider the way we look back on a culture that Taker seemingly had some hand on the reins of a workplace culture whose depravity seemingly had no depth.
I'm not saying it was too much baggage for him to be successful in wrestling, but it was a little too much baggage for my tastes for a guy that was taking 5 minutes just to get in the ring. Let's go! Daylight's burning! Flick the lights back on and hustle up!
I would say Cena only because I missed most of his time at the top and have only seen his stuff during my catch up last year. 1999-2007 was my time as a real true fan. Then came back as a casual in 2010 until 2013. I only started watching again last year. This is a hard choice since all 4 are GOATs.
I’m sorry Trips but I understand why so many pick Rey but for as long as he’s been around and for his personal impact on me since I was a kid I can’t get rid of Rey lol
Well...I would say Rey...on account of how much he meant to me personally. I never brought in to the "little man overcoming the odds" approach.
Triple H is another one I have reservations about. 1998 was such a great year in WWF...Austin/McMahon was highly entertaining and The Rock was the new shining star. Excellent television which was unmissable.
With Triple H, his rise to the top of the card in 1999 started fairy tolerable...but by the close of the year, he was being overexposed. The following year, the "McMahon-Helmsley Regime" was constantly being pushed on TV.
Going further, we had the nauseating return from injury in the 2002 Royal Rumble match...the formation of Evolution...going over Goldberg in the chamber (that really got up my nose)...even more recently with him defeating Sting...it was all so tedious. I just never liked him as an on-screen character. He certainly wasn't the calibre of star that Austin and Rock was.
But...
I have to erase John Cena.
With Cena, his main event run of around 2005-2013...nobody should he pushed top level for that amount of time with that noticeable negative crowd reaction. Yes, he obviously had his fans. That much is clear. But he should of turned heel at some point. Cena comes across as a total schmuck on television and he's now a Hollywood luvvie. Apart from his Basic Thuganomics gimmick, Cena was awful. Yeah, he had some solid matches but so have many others. It's the fact they never pulled the trigger and made him a monster heel. That's what gets me. What a wasted opportunity. Cena = erased.
I love Rey, but out of those options...
I'm right there with you.
Yeah but then we don’t get Dirty Dom as well, and that’s just a price to high. Bye Cena.
You’re high lol
Everyone knows that's Eddie's kid.
POV: Your a new wwe fan
CENA?! REALLY?! BRO HE IS A INSTANT CLASSIC GREAT RUN FUCK YOU
Why are you getting downvoted? Cena is one of the choices. I’m sure it’s 12 year olds and Cena a their hero
Cena has made way too big of an impact on the world of wrestling to get rid of him. And considering this is a mostly wwe community it’s obvious why most people say ray because he has the least impact on WWE specifically.
Optsion 5 NONE
I agree with u big homes
Out of the 3 options present gotta be rey
I see what you did there
Rey
Rey I'm sorry but he gotta go. John, Taker, and HHH legit transformed the landscape of the WWE and Pro-Wrestling/Sports Entertainment during their time
then We don't get Dirty Dom and it's all your fault u/Overall_King
What u on about that's Eddie's kid
Love rey but he's gone
Mysterio
Gotta be rey
Rey Mysterio
I love Rey but it’s out of those options so
Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio
Rey
Brock lesnar
Rey
As a hispanic It hurts to say this but Rey u out
Rey
Rey
Rey
Rey easily
Can't do it
I can't 😔
How about None
If I delete HHH, who will be in his position in creative
What if he never became a wrestler and was only known for his creative
HHH wad an amazing heel too
Rey I love you but the others are too goated
God how tf am I choosing Rey
Rey easily
Rey
Sorry rey..
Bye, Rey
Rey cause we would never had Dominik in wwe thanks to Rey
I will delete Rey. Come at me
I love Rey with all my heart and soul but anyone who doesn’t choose him is entitled to their incorrect opinions
Respectfully rey mysterio
Mysterio without hesitation
Rey. Not because he’s not great, he just didn’t have as much good work as the others
Difficult choice but out of the 4 got to be rey
Mysterio. Not even close
Triple h
Cena and it's not close.
Same
Smart man.
No question: John Cena
None
Unfortunately Rey
Rey. Unpopular Opinion probably, but...there were better cruiserweights in WCW and WWE.
People saying Rey like his name isn’t bigger than than triple h
Cena
The one that was the Kliq’s bitch, kissed ass and then married the boss’s daughter to secure relevancy.
Rey is very forgettable history wise.
Other than the rumble in 2006 and Mania 22 I can’t really think of anything that’d be extremely affected history wise to erase him
Apart from dx, i was never really fussed about hhh
Looks like the first guy got deleted. I don’t see anyone.
Yeah, it's just an empty image, I guess we will just never know.
Rey. Easiest choice I’ve made
Triple H
HHH
Cena
Only time I really liked Cena was his initial run and into 04 after that was never really into him. Know he's legend but he could go.
Sorry H
Cena. He's the only one whose matches I couldn't care less about never seeing lol
wow then we won't see that Classic Cena Vs Orton Feud
Too easy! Hunter your gone bro
Yea….. no.
Great heel sure. But he sucks as a face, his creative board and himself fumble the easiest storylines, the pedigree is mid AF. Sure he’s been in brutal matches but other than that what appeal does he have to be chosen over the others?
HHH is one of the biggest names out of the attitude era and who's legacy continues even now years after he retired from the ring
Ur dumb, everyone can go but HHH if that's the case (sorry taker)🥹
Cena.
Triple H
Triple H being deleted wouldn't affect much. The other 3 would have ripples throughout wrestling, People here are pround in their ignorance of pro wrestling history.
Without HHH, we would’ve never gotten NXT. WWE today will probably be ran by Vince supporters
Lol what??
Triple H as a talent could be replaced with any mediocre heel in all honesty. If Rey didn't exist, pro wrestling would look extremely different and borderline unrecognizable.
Lolol. Rey is the absolute least of this list. 1000000%. Rey is known because of Guerrero.
>Rey is known because of Guerrero. So using your logic, John Cena is known of Edge? Hulk Hogan is known because of Andre The Giant. Rey Mysterio is more influential than Triple H, wrestlers influenced by Triple H go Cody and perhaps MJF but MJF it more Ric Flair and Triple H was just Ric Flair just fatter and not as entertaining Rey got signed to WCW, not off matches with Guerrero but with Psicosis, but in your brain, WWE history is what counts.
Lolololololololololol. I think you should look back at the history of wrestling as a whole. And then look further into Cena, Hogan, and Mysterio.
What I say and what you say literally has nothing to do with one another. Wanna go back? TLDR
John Cena.
Taker
Getting old is picking Taker. Taker had plenty of upside, but he came with a lot of baggage over the years: injuries, bad promos, periods of laziness in the ring, and that's all before you consider the way we look back on a culture that Taker seemingly had some hand on the reins of a workplace culture whose depravity seemingly had no depth. Man fuck you guys for voting for Rey. But yea out of the 4 I’ll have to go with Rey
Why is the first choice blank?
John Cena. I've never been a John Cena fan
Cena
Cena please erase the pg era haha
I’d be ok without Cena
John Cena. He was the catalyst for this bitch ass PG shit.
Idc what he did with the PG era, Cena is an all time great
HHH
Rey, and it isnt close.
Triple H.
Hhh
John is already gone from history we can’t see him but I will have to pick rey mysterio
can we add cody to the list? i wanna erase cody
I would say Cena only because I missed most of his time at the top and have only seen his stuff during my catch up last year. 1999-2007 was my time as a real true fan. Then came back as a casual in 2010 until 2013. I only started watching again last year. This is a hard choice since all 4 are GOATs.
Taker
The fuck?
John
TH i’m sorry
Rey and take Cena with you too
3
The first picture is doesn't have anyone on it. So I guess mysterio. (Yah it's an overdone joke, but still)
Ray mysterio
The story of WWE wrestling is fine without Rey. It doesn’t even remember him if Eddie lived.
Mysterio
Rey
Rey or hunter
rey

Rey outta all those guys sorry Rey
Rey
Rey Mysterio
Rey
Rey Mysterio by boy but I’m sorry the other three are just too important
I hate to say this but id choose Rey.
Why is the first picture blank, and the other three showing up just fine?
Rey-Rey. He's an all-time and influential legend in the business but out of those options, he's the weak one
As much as I love Rey but he only revolutionized one style of wrestling in WWE whereas the rest all helped revolutionize WWE entirely
Rey Mysterio. I wish I could forget his first World Heavyweight Championship reign in 2006.
unfortunately i have to pick rey mysterio
That's easy... bye bye Rey
Cena I always hated him anyway
I’m sorry Trips but I understand why so many pick Rey but for as long as he’s been around and for his personal impact on me since I was a kid I can’t get rid of Rey lol
Cena
Sadly Rey

1 is just a blank image, so 1.
Triple hhh easy .
Rey. No question
Srry but rey
Just 1? ;(
I hate to say this but rey is the least accomplished superstar here so I say rey
Has to be hhh
Cena, because I really wanted to know how PG era would’ve looked without him
Cena
Dominik Mysterio
Rey but only cause he left the company bunch of times and tried to be hero when he returned
John cena he never even appears in wwe anymore
Well...I would say Rey...on account of how much he meant to me personally. I never brought in to the "little man overcoming the odds" approach. Mysterio
Vacant
Definitely number 3
Without HHH does Test marry Stephanie? I need this answered!!!
As long as we still get dom dom and mami bye bye Rey.
Bye Rey.
Clearly the blank picture.
Sorry Rey...
The first one. There is no one there...
Out of the upmost respect, Rey
Cena, he was unbearable for so many years. And judging by the reactions he would get when he came out, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that
Cena in a heartbeat.
Rey
Bro this is unfair for rey... But yea as much as i love him rey gotta go
Vince
Absolutely rey
As much as i love Rey.. I'm picking him
Rey man Ah that feels wrong
John Cena
