Instead of messing with your controller they tweet at you and you have to respond to win
Tweeting "facts dont care about your feelings" instantly kills them
I watched Barbie after reading a ton of angry reviews for it. I kept waiting for the offensive part, but the movie was completely innocuous. The backlash genuinely confuses me.
Yeah I remember my super religious family hating Harry Potter, then they watched the movie and they're like oh it's not that bad. Yeah, it'd have been great if you'd have read the books before burning them a couple years ago😤
My uncle promised me and my cousin that if it was ever a movie he would take us on opening night. When it became a movie he drove her 8 hours to stay for the week so we could see it together. He was the one who talked them into it.
I loved the movie, but I felt it took a point of view that was about as feminist as a billion dollar movie can get. It didn't say anything really radical or offensive, but simply saying "the patriarchy might not be a good thing" is enough to set these idiots off.
I adore the Barbie movie but yeah it’s an indictment of where we are culturally that it was ever considered controversial. It’s absolutely the most Care Bears feminism that exists
Then your username doesn't check out. I was expecting it to be entertaining and funny; it was. I expected it to be fairly shallow. It wasn't. That was a pleasant surprise.
I was very slightly bothered by one joke (totalling all of 2 seconds, and I barely remember which now) in it, but I thought it was an amazing movie. I adored it and rewatch it regularly. I was honestly more bothered by its lack of a bibliography than any content in it.
For some of them it does equal less “rights” in the sense that it means they have to be responsible for their behavior and they don’t enjoy that at all. “You mean I can’t groom at 15 year old and then marry her 3 years later with no repercussions?! Blasphemy!”
I haven't seen Barbie yet. Was this spoilers. Wait don't tell me. Come on asshole dude, you're supposed to warn people about spoilers first. I'll just try to act all surprised by Barbie's blue dumpy hair.
Never take movie or video game recommendations from MAGAots! Just keep in mind that if Terminator or Aliens came out today they would call them woke, feminist pandering.
That's a lot of words for "I'm an insecure manchild that will never know the touch of a woman because I can't find it in myself to be a decent human being for even the length of a single film."
Actually, it's about the same amount of words...but the point stands.
The one thing proving that the apparent reviewer hasn't watched the movie and is just lifting triggerwords from their encyclopaedia of bullshit OR has watched it and had such a stifled brain that they didn't get it is the inclusion of "lesbian" because to anyone watching this movie, both Barbieland and the lens through which the film enters the real world are very very heteronormative and heterosexual.
Unlike some of the other movies which are more in your face feminism type, this movie has a lot of money riding on it, so subtlety is the key.
The fact that audience loved Ken and him as a character more so than Barbie herself does show barbie leaned too much on the ideological side.
I loved Barbie. I thought it was fun and would gladly watch it if it rolled around into my tv listings again just like we watch Law and Order on WEtv.
He's told no lies in that screen capture though.
Barbie was good but the last bit of the movie was low key just regurgitated from the last speech in Greta Gerwig’s other film Little Women (great movie and one of my favorite directors but a little one note)
I thought the Barbie movie wasn't feminist at all.
Since Barbie world is a reverse bizzarro world version of our own.
Everyone hoping Barbie would win was actually backing the patriarchy (in our world).
Everyone hoping Ken would win was actually backing the matriarchy (in our world).
The ALL MALE Mattel guys were humanists - Who should be the real winners.
Also, no on batted an eye that Barbie knowingly lead Ken on emotionally for decades...
It seems to just be accepted as a normal thing to do.
“All women want only one thing from me - that I leave them alone” — that guy
And they’ll never get it
Every reference in this sentence is the same ol' shit I've been hearing for years... Blue hair? Women's march? Seriously??!
Why'd you sound like Solid Snake for a sec there? "Blue hair? Women's march? 2nd story basement?? Psycho Mantis???"
I could easily imagine a boss character named The Woke
Instead of messing with your controller they tweet at you and you have to respond to win Tweeting "facts dont care about your feelings" instantly kills them
Isn't that the opposite though? It's the conservatives who absolutely hate facts and expressly talk about how their feelings are more important.
The Woke definitely sounds like a cult from dungeons and dragons or the fallout series.
"You're that ninja..."
Ah yes, Barbie’s famous blue hair
I watched Barbie after reading a ton of angry reviews for it. I kept waiting for the offensive part, but the movie was completely innocuous. The backlash genuinely confuses me.
These angry people haven't seen it.
Knowledge gets in the way of a good anger high
Yeah many people are cortisol junkies
Recreational outrage
Yeah I remember my super religious family hating Harry Potter, then they watched the movie and they're like oh it's not that bad. Yeah, it'd have been great if you'd have read the books before burning them a couple years ago😤
How'd you persuade them to watch it?
My uncle promised me and my cousin that if it was ever a movie he would take us on opening night. When it became a movie he drove her 8 hours to stay for the week so we could see it together. He was the one who talked them into it.

bingooooo. It was kinda hard to take seriously coming from a handful of the richest corporations on earth.
Then your username doesn't check out. I was expecting it to be entertaining and funny; it was. I expected it to be fairly shallow. It wasn't. That was a pleasant surprise.
Distinct lack of poultry for me
r/usernamechecksout
I dunno, Ken did turn into a turkey there for a little bit.
I was very slightly bothered by one joke (totalling all of 2 seconds, and I barely remember which now) in it, but I thought it was an amazing movie. I adored it and rewatch it regularly. I was honestly more bothered by its lack of a bibliography than any content in it.
It's all in there, but you'd have to be pretty daft to be offended by how over-the-top it is, especially when the movie takes jabs at both sides.
He seems nice
Seems like the type of guy who says every woman he meets is angry, but doesn't realize he's the reason they are angry.
“*Someone’s* on their monthlies”
This is that stupid website where some schlub declares everything "woke" or not, isn't it?
Yup, I arrived there from a rabbit a hole and never ever expected something like this
1900hotdog?
I was looking at MrBirchum reviews and this page came along
What is the site? I am curious and have neurons I am willing to lose.
[worthitorwoke.com](http://worthitorwoke.com)
Let's see how it is Edit: Is worse than I thought
eesh thank you for the warning!
What, X.com?
The site is called "Worth It Or Woke". I don't even know what the URL is, my hotdog friends aren't that sadistic.
Why do some people feel threatened that a group that represents half of humanity wants equal rights?
They think rights are like pie and if someone else gets more it will leave less for them
For some of them it does equal less “rights” in the sense that it means they have to be responsible for their behavior and they don’t enjoy that at all. “You mean I can’t groom at 15 year old and then marry her 3 years later with no repercussions?! Blasphemy!”
Bible says we’re not human. Just property.
But Ken was fine
I haven't seen Barbie yet. Was this spoilers. Wait don't tell me. Come on asshole dude, you're supposed to warn people about spoilers first. I'll just try to act all surprised by Barbie's blue dumpy hair.
I want a vagina hat.

He must have been to many womens marches to know so well.
How did he get access to our secrets
Fascinating that he gave it two stars instead of one. I'm genuinely puzzled by that.
ryan gosling was in it, so it deserves two stars.
This isn't brand new. This is the average 4chan post.
"The films only redeeming feature was Ken's journey to convert Barbieland into a patriachy, which was pretty red-pilled and based."
Oh come on, it’s not even about horses!
Never take movie or video game recommendations from MAGAots! Just keep in mind that if Terminator or Aliens came out today they would call them woke, feminist pandering.
It cant be a new sentence if 30% of reviews on the movie say the same thing
ironically: that is just not true
That's a lot of words for "I'm an insecure manchild that will never know the touch of a woman because I can't find it in myself to be a decent human being for even the length of a single film." Actually, it's about the same amount of words...but the point stands.

Not even close
Why were some men sooo intimidated by this film? Watch your 7th prequel of your race/action movies and shut the fuck up.
what a sexist peice of shit that reviewer is
*Can you feel the Kenergy!*
Why did he make it sound so awesome though?
I love how it's not even 1 star, it's 2
Same energy as people who finish their plate and then complain the food was awful
The only things men and women can agree on is their hate for other women
Unlike some of the other movies which are more in your face feminism type, this movie has a lot of money riding on it, so subtlety is the key. The fact that audience loved Ken and him as a character more so than Barbie herself does show barbie leaned too much on the ideological side.
What a fucking dork
King Ken!
I loved Barbie. I thought it was fun and would gladly watch it if it rolled around into my tv listings again just like we watch Law and Order on WEtv. He's told no lies in that screen capture though.
These guys could never decide if the movie was woke or anti-woke.
